The No Diet app from Effecto is nothing more than a scam -they take unauthorised amounts from your account and refuse to refund .Ripoff artists-my state trading standards are been asked to investigate

Do NOT trust this product! 100% total scam

Awful, 2 months and still waiting for my refund of illegally taken money.
I'll carry on adding reviews

This is a scam.
Be warned. I wish I read 5he reviews first

SCAM! DO NOT DOWNLOAD! DO NOT MAKE ANY PURCHASES! They charged me more than once at the same time for their services and then refused to do a refund when I called them out on it. The app itself is not set up for someone with actual ADHD. It might be helpful for someone with a chronic illness but not for someone with executive dysfunction. Not worth the price. Not worth the hassle. Not worth the embarrassment of being duped.
Update 6/11 I emailed again for the resolution effecto said they would offer and Jessica Bailey said that she still refuses to do any kind of refund.
Do not tell me in your response that you would like to resolve billing issues if you are not actually planning on resolving.

I can't even remember how effective it was - I stopped using it pretty quickly so that is very telling - my main complaint is refusal to refund when I had deleted my subscription and deleted the app!

Firstly, Effecto team - please don't bother with the stock standard 'please email us we're happy to assist' BS reply you keep putting under everyone else's posts. We email you for help and you tell us to go kick rocks, so there's no need for the facade.
Their reviews are not real. Notice that for every single positive review, it is the only review that person has ever made on Trustpilot. They are all also just one generic sentence about a single feature the reviewer apparently liked. Trust me, their product is not worth signing up a brand new account to give 5 stars for. The negative reviews with one review, I do believe are real, because they have personally p**sed me off so bad I want to shout it from the rooftops.
They are running a subscription model designed to exploit people who suffer from ADHD. When signing up on an iPhone, there is tiny print stating that is a subscription and that the price will more than double after your initial one week/one month/three month subscription term (I could not even read this without putting my glasses on). You have to physically scroll down to see this tiny text under the initial discounted prices and a big green 'get my plan' button. Cancelling the plan is a massive headache and can't be done in the app. Once you have signed up, there is no way to see any information about your subscription or pricing in the app - they clearly hope you will forget about it so they can drain more money from you. In fact, their website gives you instructions on how you can DELETE YOUR WHOLE ACCOUNT and again in small print at the bottom, mentions oh PS but your subscription will still remain active until you email us to stop it. So they are happy to actively suck money out of people they KNOW are not using their product.
Everything about this company is designed to mislead neurodivergent people and steal excessive amounts of money from them. Don't touch them with a ten foot pole.

Effecto i a complete scam! I tried the free week trial, i decided it wasnt for me. So i cancelled it then found £49.99 taken out of my bank without my consent. I sent customer service an email explaining what had happened. They said we dont do refunds. So basically i dont have freedom of choice. They have stolen £50 of me and won't return it. If i could give zero stars i would. Please beware this company!

EDIT: Their replies including their reply to my message make it sound like they are interested in assisting with a resolution, however below is the email I received from Jessica from Effecto after my enquiry. They have no interest in assisting. Buyer BEWARE.
Your subscription has been canceled, and no further charges will occur.
However, you may still use your plan until the current subscription ends.
That being said, since the item was correctly delivered, unfortunately, we are unable to issue you a refund.
As per our Terms and Conditions, which you agreed to upon purchase, all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable unless the product failed to be delivered due to a technical fault on our end.
Please let me know if you have any further inquiries.

Effecto's predatory subscription model is in ABSOLUTE BREACH of Australian Consumer law. Come July they will also be in breach of the FTC's click to cancel law in the US. Australian Consumer Law clearly states that Subscription traps occur when businesses mislead consumers into signing up for a subscription by representing that the consumer is only making a one-off purchase, or by making cancellation of a subscription difficult. Both of these misrepresentations apply in spades to Effecto's model.
I have never received an invoice or receipt from Effecto. Since originally signing up for a free trial (which I never used - I have to this day not used the app at all), I have no way of seeing any information about the plan I've allegedly subscribed to, or why the pricing has leaped up to an astronomical $80.99 every three months. You can't manage or view your plan in the app, nor any other details about your account. YOU CANNOT UNSUBSCRIBE THROUGH THE APP - they make you email them and have a "no refund" policy, how absolutely scummy is that. How can you justify charging for a subscription when your customers have no way of seeing what the subscription actually is or access any details about it? They do not send any notice of upcoming renewals. I am 70 years old with ADHD, you can imagine how difficult this has all been for me to navigate. You are preying on the difficulties most applicable to the very consumers you have built your product for.

This is a SCAM!! Do NOT sign up for ANYTHING. I got a $79.98 charge that I KNOW I didn’t sign up for. When I reached out within minutes of the charge, I was told that my subscription has been canceled (which I didn’t sign up for a subscription) but due to company policy, they couldn’t issue a refund.

An app that promoted supporting Neuro diverse people, that auto subscription for an app I didn't use - it didn't help me.
To much to set up initially, having to create your own patterns and reminders / routines maybe helpful for some but for me , just another app that many already offer however free trail catches you and bang the money went out of my account and guess what IM ADHD, I Forgot ! Yes this is a me problem right?! However considering the niche of Thier business - I would suggest I'm not the first to ' forget' I used the app for a few days , normal life and some other events came along and yes I forgot. Would they give me a refund the day after ?!! No way !!
So my lesson learned, no more free trials, snakes in the grass with no intention on being good humans who can identify a genuine error.
Business is business for Effecto !

First, I won't participate with ANY app that asks you in their questionnaire, "Do you have an important event coming up?" WTF does that have to do with anything? It's like I will suddenly have this ADHD cured just in time for my sister's daughter's hird cousin's wedding in 3 months as opposed to a natural timeline of, "results may vary upon severity of ADHD and these are helpful techniques to aide in surviving with ADHD." It just won't go away unless you take medication and then that's a whole other can of worms. Shame on you for duping so many that are truly searching for a way to lead a productive and somewhat normal life.

Do not attempt to even look at this app or website. I was charged a membership fee through PayPal of $80 and a subsequent fee of $31 monthly and I never activated or requested an account. I have been back and forth with customer service and originally they stated that I do not have an account and now that I provided proof that my PayPal is being charged they stated that is my monthly fee and that I purchased a membership. DO NOT USE THIS APP OR SERVICE.

Avoid! Gimmick, just a bunch of advice that can be read anywhere online marketed into an app. The tracking merely records manually inputted data so is otherwise pointless. Customer service is cynical. They just want your money. Avoid!

Leave this app alone, they prey on ADHD people and it is so not worth it. If you don't cancel your subscription they will charge you a year later even though your ADHD and have probably have no clue that you have this. The company is heartless, not veteran friendly, and scams people out of their money.
