Rude Reps Are the Reason I won't Return Again
I have ordered from Man Crates a total of 3 times. Their shipping is extremely high but I have never had too much of a problem. I placed an order for Christmas and a birthday due to being laid up for a surgery that has made it so I cannot drive or walk for the time being. The third time I ordered, I paid $53 for shipping. I was given a date the order would be here. The day before I was told it was delayed by two days. When that day came and went, I got another text saying it was delayed by two more days. I contacted FedEx and they said it was shipped ground so there was no rush and it was still in CA. When I paid $53, that option was for overnight delivery, not ground (accidents happen, we are humans after all). I got a hold of Man Crates and they refunded the shipping.
When the new date came and went, my order still had not shown up. I got a new message saying I couldn't get a delivery date but the package was at least in my state. I contacted Man Crates to see if they could check into this. I got a response saying it was considered lost. They said usually they send a replacement but they are out of stock so they could issue a refund if it wasn't found in a few more days (they were specific with the dates but I won't post them here). I finally had heard back from FedEx after 12 days that my package was found. I hadn't received a refund so I was so excited to finally get these! FedEx said they found the package, but Man Crates canceled delivery!!! After trying to get the gifts and them already being late (and we know their prices are not cheap) they took it back without issuing a refund!
I contacted Man Crates and that is when they issued the refund. I told them if the package is still in my state then I don't want the money, I want the package. I paid for the package, I waited, I was patient until I wanted what I paid for. I was told that since I was issued the refund, they won't reroute the package back to me. I became highly upset and told them I didn't want the refund, I wanted the items. They said they sent FedEx a ticket two days prior requesting the package to be rerouted back to them and didn't send the refund until today.
I asked to speak to someone that I had been communicating with via email and the lady I was on the phone with became rude and said she is the only one I can speak to and she is the one I need to consider in charge when I asked to speak to a supervisor. When I finally pointed out the gifts were personalized and useless to anyone but me, she finally placed me on a 15 minute hold and said they could call FedEx and request to reroute the order back to me or ship a new order in a week. She obviously wasn't the supervisor so she should have let me speak to someone else that cares about customers - especially when they are as upset as I was (crying not crazy belittling) - when there were several things that went wrong that wasn't my fault.
When she was talking to me, while I was in tears trying to get these gifts while they were in my state, she was chuckling at me like I was on speaker and it was a joke to her and her co-workers (I am not sure if I was on speaker, but with her giggling and whispering like they heard, it felt like it).
I thought this company was pretty good, overpriced but fun, until the rude treatment I received. I have NEVER been treated like this from any company by any employee, not even from huge corporations like McDonald's or Wal-Mart. The lady I spoke to today has no business working where she does. She might as well be a bill collector as rude as she is. I hope the company looks at errors like these and realizes how important RETURNING customers are. Those are the ones that help build the company. I most certainly will not be returning, not because of the delayed shipping (mistakes honestly do happen) but the way I was treated when I called. One customer service representative caused Man Crates to lose a returning customer.
**This is to the response that was give to my review. I would have a lot more respect if these people contacted me personally but I will elaborate. I am more than happy to pay for everything. I stated that but like the service rep said, your company requested the shipment back TWO days before you tried refund me. I was very clear that if the package was found, that was a lot more important than a refund. I wanted what I paid for, not a refund or I wouldn't have spent what I did anyway. A lot of this is forgivable, but what isn't is that the service rep found it funny and was chuckling. She also said that she is the only one that I should worry about because I can't speak to anybody else. The service rep is the reason for the review. The service rep I spoke is the biggest reason I will not return and I will make sure that everybody knows that you have people like her at your company. She was awful, dishonest, laughed at me, and then hung up on me.

I ordered from this company and was not satisfied at all. I spent over 100 dollars after shipping on the beer shower crate and the items I got were very cheap quality and the speaker I got came broken upon arrival I will not be purchasing from man crate again

Received Shawnee skinner as Christmas…
Received Shawnee skinner as Christmas gift. The handle is too short. Even my girlfriend says she's not comfortable with it in her hands. Very unhappy. You advertise satisfaction guaranteed. I'd like to know how you're going to get me satisfied! What is deceiving is when you open the box and see the kit and look at the knife blank and then see the blank handle scales which are well over inch longer then the blade.

So disappointed
So disappointed. I purchased the chocoholic way overly expensive crate for my husband for Xmas. The individual boxes that the goodies come in are huge to make it look like you are getting a lot. The choc covered cookies were supposed to have 4 in them and there were only 2, one of which looked old. The box looks like it was tampered with and the other two cookies were missing. Buyer beware, you are paying for the crate and the flimsy crowbar! Shame on me for ordering and wasting my money.

Love Team Crates - Could use some tweaks.
Love Team Crates. This is our fourth time getting gifts from here. A couple of things could be tweaked. Bought three gifts personalized with a name on a card, but the card didn't have names. People received the wrong present. The code on the puzzle box didn't work and it took us about five minutes to get it opened (bummer). The smash it gift card could have been a little bigger. Took my daughter a slight hit and she was done.
My experience this year...
This year I ordered one for my Brother-in-law and his son (my nephew)... The pry bar didn't help open them so had to resort to a bigger prybar and finally the pieces of wood snapped and they were open... Both liked the stuff inside but really hard to open this year... Not sure why...
Review of 3+ Man Crate Experiences
I have been gifted 3 Man Crates and my brother 2. I have been dissatisfied with 2/3 of these crates. What you are paying for here is the experience of “Uncrating” the items that were ordered. You get a flimsy pry bar to go to town on a glued up crate that wants to fight you every step of the way. The items you pay for are of low quality. If you buy a knife, expect that it is made with the cheapest steel and materials available. Similar to every othet crate/subscription/box service, you aren’t paying for premium products. That being said, your first time it can be exciting to open (or seriously frustrating). My mom liked the idea of these gifts, so repeatedly ordered them for us every year for Christmas. That being said, every item that’s came out of these either breaks or goes in the trash. The one item I was satisfied with was a Bloody Mary mix kit. Otherwise, a very flashy, but subpar experience.

Fricking Fantastic (can I say that online?)
Although it had nothing to do with them, my shipment was delayed and mancrates.com refunded my shipping costs. Then when the item arrived, I was so thrilled! It was effing awesome and well made. I ordered the Classic Cocktail Tool Crate, personalized with my boyfriend's name and we were both super happy. I specifically chose the crate delivery method and was not disappointed with the a) look of it and b) the amusement of watching my boyfriend pry it open with the crowbar!

I ordered two booze infused jerky crates to be delivered last week. I called the company and they reissued me one of the crates to be delivered and it was never shipped. I’m so disappointed in their customer service.

Low quality merchandise
The gift was out of stock and I wasn't notified until it was back in. When it was received, it was personalized and the name cannot be seen unless you are right next to it. Also, there are two dots (..) next to the name where whomever was engraving it messed up. It is completely obvious. Very upset I paid $100 for this. Will not order from them again.

I had made an error when placing my order. I called Man Crates and I actually was able to speak to a real person (unlike a recent call with Xfinity). "Matt" was very helpful. We spent over 30 minutes trying to correct my error. He was patient and when he had questions on how to handle, he was able to get support from his supervisor immediately. He made the experience exceptional.
This was my first time ordering from them but it certainly will not be my last. "Thank you" Man Crates for still demonstrating what real customer service is supposed to be like. Well done!
Amazing Company
This is an amazing company!!! A slight glitch with one product but was handled expertly and efficiently by Ms Hailey. Plus the products are so unique and thoughtfully presented. Love Man Crates!!!
I ordered 2 Smash and Grab crates for…
I ordered 2 Smash and Grab crates for my 2 nephews. Man Crates cancelled my order without letting me know and refunded my CC, no explanation given. I called CS and the lady who answered couldn’t tell me what happened and said someone would call me regarding my order. No call back at all! I emailed CS 2x and no response but an email stating someone would get back to me shortly. Today Fed-Ex went to deliver my crates and then proceeded to return them to sender!! Never ordering from them again and had my mom cancel her order due to this incident.

I get my adult twin Sons each a Jerky Crate yearly.
They always comment on how quickly each of them opened it.
This year I wanted to make it more difficult and got the duct tape for an additional $20.
My boys both said it was easier...with the wooden crate AND the tape. They commented there must have been less glue with a thinner box.Ugh.

I always have issues with the discount…
I always have issues with the discount codes, this is my own user error. I shoot them an email and they have it fixed for me within 24hrs and most the time within the hour. The customer service is amazing, literally the best I have dealt with and I work in customer service. My family loves these boxes. I love ordering from them and giving them as gifts. I will be ordering more for sure. Thank you for these amazing boxes and the best customer service.

This is by far one of the best companies I have ordered from, not only are the products awesome the customer service is on point. I had recently placed an order and it even came 2 days early but someone stole the package off my porch, I reached out to the company and they responded back within 15 minutes and they replaced the order for free and included an extra gift.. They went well above on this for me. I will use this company again..
