Everything was perfect

Everything was perfect! We ordered a gift for a birthday and our cousin loved it! I mean who wouldn't love beer and snacks. Delivered on time and I even put a funny photo of us as kids on the card message! Pretty awesome all around.

Dodgy Company

Do not purchase anything from Gourmet Gift Baskets!! I purchased a Sympathy Gift Basket for a grieving family overseas. I purchased the additional insurance to ensure the item arrived in good condition. The delivery driver didn't attempt to deliver it to the recipient's door. They left it outside the property gate in desert heat. Everything spoiled. I requested a refund. I was told I could accept a credit or they could re-send the item. They couldn't guarantee it would arrive in edible condition. I explained a credit is of no use. I'm in Australia. After further correspondence where I asked about the insurance coverage I purchased, I was told a full refund had been processed and would be received in 7-10 working days. That was a month ago. The refund has not been received. I'm currently waiting on a response to a follow-up.

They Lie and Overcharge

I did not want to pay a $25 delivery charge, so I ordered a $3.95 delivery date. They still charged me $25 delivery.

I checked the box to send an email to recipients IMMEDIATELY after ordering, alerting them of delivery. They received no email.

Order was delivered Friday. I got notice Sunday night 9:45 PM saying my order was just delivered. THESE IDIOTS ARE LIARS, CRIMINALS, AND ASLEEP. NEVER AGAIN!

I ordered a gift basket on 8/13 for same day delivery on 8/14 after not receiving the item and trying 3 times to contact them I final was able to get ahold of representative. They apologized for the item not being delivered and said the item was not eligible for same day delivery. It took me contacting them to receive this update. They said they would be unable to fulfill my order, they did refund my money but when I asked if they could offer a replacement basket of some sort they said they could only do a replacement or refund even though they messed up. All in all I took the refund but recommend not going through them their customer service is terrible

Shipping charge rip off

Got to the check out screen and they had tripled the shipping cost. Shipping charges totaled almost as much as the basket. No thank you! Plenty of other companies to order from.

SCAM! Don't use!

SCAM! Ordered it for same day delivery. I even called and confirmed they received it and all was good. Tracking wasn;t working and so I called to check when it would be delivered. They said it was never delivered because it was "out of stock" . Just like that. I paid for same day and everything! No one called me! No one emailed me! No one did anything! SCAM!!!

If you are gluten free do not order…

If you are gluten free do not order from them! Their shipping and handling of gluten free products are not up to code. I ordered the macaroons and premium gluten free baked goods and did not follow guidelines of the FDA for gluten free items. I did also purchase champagne and truffles basket which was great for my wife’s friends but not her and it was her Masters Degree graduation and I wanted to make it special since I missed it due to military obligations.

False advertising and drop shipper

The reviews on this company that are above 4 must have been one item with prepackaged goods and one shipping fee. I feel like I'm reading the reviews on some knock-off co on amz for chinsy products that are overpriced. The GGB website is set up such that you are charged for shipping per item even if going to the same adddress and the same person in the same order. This is likely a drop shipping co and that is why it's set up like that. The stellar reviews, my guess, are one-offs or planted because the real people who have posted real reviews cannot all be telling untruths. We are not stupid consumers.

Promo Code Inaccuracy w/ Poor Company Response

I am on the mailing list and got an email to use the code LOVEMOM for 15% off. Same message in each email written very large. I am adept at online shopping but tried the code repeatedly and it won't work. When I finally got through to customer service, they acted like they knew nothing about it then finally tried the code I gave them from their end and said it is a 10% promo code. First, that wouldn't help me because the code doesn't work at all. Second my emails clearly says the discount is 15%. I offered to send my email to them, but they didn't seem interested. They said I have to wait until next week to reach someone about this (so, no weekend help). Like many of us, I don't have time for this and will just order from one of the many other good options out there.

April 30th still haven’t received my refund this is ridiculous, they said 3-5 business days if I don’t get my refund I’m reporting them.

This company should never be trusted to…

This company should never be trusted to provide anything for any special occasion. I ordered 2 gift baskets for my grandson's for Easter. I ordered them on a Wednesday with a scheduled/promised delivery by Saturday. They did not send the baskets on time so UPS would not deliver until Monday - the day after Easter. When I wrote them to express my disgust and anger at the fact that they ruined my grandson's Easter they said they would refund the money, that it wasn't their fault and that they were going to cancel the order directly with UPS and if did come that I would have to return the baskets. They are by far the worst service I ever used and warn anybody considering using Gourmetgiftbaskets.com to not trust anything about this company. They caused so much disappointment for 2 little boys and their only respond was essentially "oh well - not our fault". They are truly scum.

Smooth experience

I needed a sympathy basket on short notice. GourmetGiftBaskets.com had a good selection and promised next-day delivery. The package was delivered on time by UPS with a picture of the delivery provided.
I am not the recipient of this gift but will update this review if I receive feedback on the quality of the contents.

Valentine's Day Surprise Ruined.

i ordered WELL ahead of time (02/08/2025) to ensure the snack box I picked would be delivered to my husband at work on Valentine's Day. I paid $15.99 in shipping fees and picked the date in accordance with their instructions. I also spoke with CS over the phone to make sure they indicated that the delivery address is a business, the CS rep told me UPS takes this into account and that those deliveries typically happen before 9am. Okay, so far so good. I got an email 02/10 that my gift had shipped. I checked on the tracking information this morning and my gift still hasn't left Illinois (???) and it's now scheduled for delivery 02/17. The business isn't even open on President's Day, it's not Valentine's Day, and now my surprise which was guaranteed to arrive on the chosen date is completely ruined. Now I have to give my husband a lame excuse about Gourmet Gift Baskets being ass, not following through on their promises, and apparently giving zero f*cks (considering it's been 20 minutes and I'm still on hold with CS). Thanks so much, I love spending my hard-earned money on a company that doesn't deliver - literally or figuratively. There is literally no refund or coupon that can make up for the thing not being there on the day.

Not the way to treat a returning customer

I've used this site a few times and have been happy. However, when I tried to place a new order and receive the 20% discount I was promised in an email, and to also redeem some rewards cash that I had earned from previous orders, it wouldn't let me use both. That's pretty tacky to offer me a discount then take it away when I tried to redeem rewards earned from previous purchases. I called customer service - they confirmed - I can only use one or the other. The "rewards" money was from previous purchases. Why would they take away the promised discount because I had bought from them before and they promised "rewards" points/cash? I'll go somewhere else. They do not appreciate returning customers.

Overpriced and Poor Quality…

I received a basket for my birthday from my mother who lives in another state. The quality was terrible and the entire basket was overpriced. When I asked her what she paid, she said over $100. This basket was worth $30 tops-fruit came under ripe and poor quality, small selection of nuts, tasteless crackers, and one sausage and one cheese. This was one big rip-off. Just terrible. The worst part is that my mother always tries to send nice gifts without thought to price, she just wants us to be happy and I feel like she was totally taken advantage of.

High quality and beautiful presentation.

I have sent gift baskets from various companies. Gourmet Gift baskets quality and presentation is by far the best. My recipients have been so impressed and rave about them. They are my go to gift baskets company . The presentation is perfect fruit is top quality (an important factor), they own their own bakery and the freshness and taste is better than home made. The contents are high class. The best thanks I can get - My recipients have sent me baskets from them too!
