False advertising and false promises on paying extra for expedited shipping for Christmas delivery.
Gift I purchased for special person did not arrive for Christmas so they had nothing to open from me on Christmas Day as this was the only gift I sent. The Website had a banner at the top when I purchased on 12/19 - order now for delivery by Christmas and get coupon for 50% off expedited delivery with a promised ship date of 12/21. I paid the extra charge for the expedited delivery based on the advertisement that my order would ship 12/19 and my order didn't ship until 12/24. Had it shipped on 12/19 as promised, it would have arrived on time. I reached out to the company regarding the issue and received basically a nonchalant oh well response. Extremely poor experience. WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN AND WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW. First, they should not have offered or promised to by a certain date and ask for expedited fees to be paid in order to receive something by Christmas if they couldn't commit to shipping the item when it was promised. I understand there can be shipping delays but this was not the case. They had an ad on their site that said purchase this today and pay for expedited shipping as indicated earlier in this review which is false advertising. 2nd, their customer service and help is 0 percent. I should at least receive money back for the expedited shipping.

Placed my order based on the projected arrival date on the confirmation page, showing 3 options (chose12/22) witnessed by 2 people. Got 1 order conf email. 2nd email was 1am on 12/22 stating tracking info=arrival date 12/29. Called, spoke to nice CS rep who put me on hold, & tried to remedy it. Whoever she spoke to who made the decision to do NOTHING knows BS about CS. Like another cust said,they could've made it right:overnight-ed my order & ate the lousy 60 bucks. Sorry the CS rep got my rant on the phone, the guy/girl making the decision was not MAN enough to get on the call. Thought I found a great company. Witty remarks throughout the website & emails. Don't be reeled in by it. Will never recommend or patronize them again.
Not great so far
So far, not great. I am having the same experience as another reviewer. Promised delivery 12/22, promised that it would be delivered 12/22 twice today and that it actually had already shipped. UPS states that it shipped on 12/21 after 5pm, so the communication with customer service on 12/21 at 8am and noon where I was told it had shipped and would be delivered on time was dishonest. Again, they could have shipped it overnight because of their mistake any time today but did not.
I took a chance on a new company and paid the price. Hopefully it doesn't get stolen from my recipient's porch since they won't even be in town when UPS says they will deliver it.
Their gifts seem really nice, but they aren't honest and don't take responsibility for their mistakes. I won't do business again with them.

Do not believe the delivery information on the website. It lies! as a matter of fact it will arrive a week later than it claims. Maybe? I still haven't recieved this order and believe it will not arrive before Christmas as promised.
Bullsh*t company
Purchased a kit on 12/18 and paid extra to have 12/22 delivery. Checked tracking and it's arrived 12/26 because it was actually received by UPS until 12/20. Man Crates claimed it was sent out 12/19 but I contacted UPS and they provided me with delivery proof 12/20 in the am so now a family member will not have a gift to open on Christmas because these employees decided they didn't need to ship out on time. It didn't ruin Christmas and it's not the end of the world but Man Crates should have manned up, admitted to the mistake and fixed it. They could have sent out a package today (12/21) for delivery tomorrow. Instead they just kept saying sorry and they won't.

This company sells extremely overpriced products that are typically a gift for men. Please ladies, find your partner a better company to buy from.
My fiancé bought me their advent calendar with the meat sticks variety. She spent $100 on it, and what I received made her so unhappy and disappointed. We received only about $4-$5 worth of meat. It’s was 5 different flavors throughout the month, each day was 1/4 oz of a meat stick or piece of jerky. That just one bite. With $100, you can buy 5 pounds of beef jerky and still manage to get 5 different flavors. And yes, I’m serious, look up their advent calendar. They ripped off my fiancé $100 for a few dollars of product just with their marketing. What a disappointment of a company.
Ladies, please buy your partner’s gifts elsewhere.
High shipping cost
I would really like to order something from this site but refuse to pay your HIGH shipping charges! $32 for shipping on an $80 order for UPS GROUND. REALLY? I think you would get a lot more orders if you lowered your shipping charges or offered a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal of no shipping.
Exceptional experience!!
This arrived in time for my son's birthday in October, 2023. He'd just come off duty and had a lot of fun opening the package. When I visited a few days later, he had eaten most of the Bacon package but couldn't stop talking about how wonderful it was! Dealing with the online ordering service was a breeze. Your sample gift notes are a riot. I am very happy with this company!

My wife gave me the DIY watch kit and I loved it. I got it for a birthday gift, days before deployed, so I've been looking forward to building this thing for almost a year now. But when I got home, I opened the box to discover that the directions were more a story about building a watch, than actual step by step instructions. Several parts were missing (ex. temporary stem and crown), the movement I had was a different design than the one in the instruction story book, and the white face was bent.
Once again, I wanted to love it, but there's nothing to love.

A smashing success with the family. My dad loved it and the whole family enjoyed his struggle to open the box. We got the exotic meats crate to help him continue his truckers journey to find the best snacks for the road. It was fun and he enjoyed it a lot. Package arrived on time with no delays.
Amazing Customer Service
Amazing Customer Service. I placed my order online and I checked my zip code for shipping date prior to ordering, When my order went through, the arrival date was 2 days after my anniversary. I called customer service and I was madder than a hen when I picked up the phone and called. When Garrett answered the phone, He was so amazing that I hung up no longer mad and am amazed/delighted at the customer service. - Thank you Garret!!

For the second consecutive year I've had issues with orders. The first year was an issue with a coupon code, this year the items received were not those advertised (there is a disclaimer stating the items pictured may not be available but there is a list of items that will replace them). I reached out to Customer Service (on Father's Day weekend) and they have agreed to make good and will send replacement items. I am disappointed that I have to go through this (especially given the substantial price) but the Customer Service is unparalleled and the product is delicious 😋
Also, last year they made good on the coupon code error as well

I bought a crate for Valentine’s Day for my husband. It came in a timely manner and it was quite nice to see him try and open it. It was very well put together. My issue is/was I received some jerky that had mold on it, when I reached out to the company they responded quite quickly. This is the message that was sent:
“Thanks for reaching out! I'm really sorry to hear that some of the jerky in your Chef's Choice Jerky Crate was moldy. It's not the most common thing, but occasionally moisture is locked in while the jerky is being sealed by the manufacturer which allows mold to take root. Either that or I'm guessing there may have been a small cut or hole somewhere in the packaging that allowed air to get in and ruin the jerky. All it takes is a bit of moisture and some air to provide the perfect breeding ground and I'm bummed to hear you had to have your dreams of jerky goodness dashed by mold. I'll make sure that we get a replacement for that jerky out to you asap. This will be at no charge, of course. We want to make sure you get everything that you paid for! Heck, for the trouble, I'll throw in some extra jerky as well to aid in the fight against snack-time hunger. You will receive an email notification once we shipped the Jerky Heart: Root Beer Habanero 0.5oz Dave's Meat and Nuts is shipped and scanned by our courier in their facility. They made a “shipping label” 2/14/23 the package never shipped. When I reached out again they sent 4 pieces of the beef jersey (the flavor that was molded) but as stated in the text there was supposed to be other stuff included. The replacement took nearly a month and a few email exchanges to be “fixed” and to be honest it wasn’t even fixed.
The idea of the man crate is amazing. But when you’re told something and you get something opposite when you’ve read stroller reviews it’s disheartening at the very least.
Great Gift, Great Customer Service
I bought the beer customized crate for my significant other for Valentine's day. We realized one of the glasses (stout) was broken when the crate was finally open. I contacted Customer Service via email and inquired about a glass replacement. They responded the next day and to my surprise they sent another whole set of glasses. I will definitely use this company again and I recommend you to use the same.

I didn't even order the item so I don't know if this will count but I was looking forward to ordering the Jerky Heart for my fiance for Valentine's. Once I looked more closely at the amount of jerky and the price I thought it was overpriced but I thought what the heck, I don't do this often and he'll like it. When I went to check out and discovered that shipping was going to be nearly $16 for an item that I doubt weighs that much I was thrown off and then when I realized that with the product, shipping, and taxes it was going to come out to just over $70 for an already overpriced item I decided to go with another company with similar products and a much better price. Not angry, and good for those who actually buy things here and like them, but seems a little ridiculous for the products to be quite that much.
