A pleasant surprise
I was forced to use Widerøe to return home in Italy from Bergen and, having read some negative reviews, I was a bit worried.
Instead, I was pleasantly surprised: perfectly on time, smooth flight, friendly atmosphere, attentive staff and, above all, not pushy about trying to make you buy something like other low-cost airlines do.
The aircraft’s Wi-Fi allows you to browse their app, from which you can access various forms of entertainment: from movies to TV series, real-time maps, and games. The only “negative” aspect is the poor space for legs.
Once again, a pleasant surprise.
Worked for us
Having read the frankly terrifying reviews prior to booking with Wideroe, I had very low expectations that myself, partner and luggage would successfully make the various flights we needed to achieve altogether.
Our return journey involved 3 flights with only 50 minutes between them, and yet we all made it back to Aberdeen in one piece and at the same time.
Maybe we were just lucky, but we found the experience seamless and would book again.
Terrible experience with this company
Terrible experience with this company. Our flight from Bodø to Bergen keeps being delayed and we obviously can't make it to our next flight to Oslo. I know exactly what they're doing, the plane was probably not full, so they delayed it. They dont give us any info on how and when we should go to Oslo from Bergen, the info on the app is not being updated at all, they keep us in the dark and the customer service at Bodø airport, they tell us to call Wideroe who naturally dont answer the calls. I wish the top management of Wideroe to get this kind of treatment every day for the rest of their lives so they can get a taste.
Lost baby carrier, stroller, car seat in bulky luggage, terrible response time.
I’m three days into my trip and Widerøe has still not located or provided any concrete solution for my delayed baggage. This is not just a suitcase of clothes. It contains essential items for my 10 month old baby, including his car seat, stroller, and hiking carrier. These are not optional items. They are necessities for his safety, transport, and daily care.
Despite multiple calls, forms, and assurances that they are looking into it, there has been zero progress or accountability. I’ve had to scramble to find temporary baby gear while on vacation. That is incredibly difficult and stressful when traveling in rural Norway.
It is outrageous that an airline can lose items this critical and then offer no meaningful support or compensation, especially when a child’s needs are involved. Widerøe’s customer service has been slow, vague, and frankly unhelpful.
I chose Widerøe because of their local reputation. Now I deeply regret it. If you are traveling with a family, especially infants or small children, avoid Widerøe unless you are prepared for a logistical nightmare and complete indifference when things go wrong.
The absolute worst airline and customer…
The absolute worst airline and customer service. We were denied boarding because they overbooked without telling us. We were stranded with no help from customer service. They kept saying “they rebooked you” yet refused to say who. They referred me to a phone number that was closed. Customer rep literally walked away. This turned in to 500 euro in additional expenses in order to get home and took 14 more hours. Will never fly with them again.
Just poor
Just poor. Flight cancelled after boarding completed due to scheduled runway maintenance. Asphalt work on runway. How can the flight crew not know this. Personal refused to assist and referred to online chat. Waited over an hour in chat, halv an hour as 1st in line and got thrown off. Chat closed before 24:00 and didn’t make it through.
No shuttle to hotel, have to pay for taxi your self. Looks like I’m losing one out of a three day work trip in the far north.
They steal your lugagge
I put one star because none IS not an options. The worst experience ever. They have stolen on Flesland, Bergen airport, 8 pieces of lugagge in 2 years because first they got Lost and when they found them and said they would bring them home suddenly said they throw them to the garbage and that IS not true, they keep the passengers things saying they could not find them or they are unknown. I was even phisically atacked when I went in person and saw workers taking things from my lugagge. They said they would bring It but after months they said It was throw to the garbage. Do never check lugagge with them, do never fly with this company, this IS a warning!

Helpful and caring staff
I flew Wideroe from Dublin to Bergen recently on my first solo trip and the staff were amazing. I am very scared of flying which I alerted the flight attendant too and she helped me every step of the way to feel more comfortable. I'd really recommend travelling with them for anyone who has any kind of flying anxiety, also the plane was very clean and on time.
Misleading ticket benefits and rude customer service
You'd expect that booking premium "flex" tickets with a Norwegian airline, on a route entirely within Norway, where the advertised benefits of that specific ticket & route are "Fast Track and Lounge Access" would give you access to a lounge - at least in Oslo, the biggest airport on the route.
But no, they don't - and you only discover that Wideroe don't have any lounges anywhere in Norway if you dig deep into the FAQ pages on their website, or complain on their chat service. With a 3+ hour wait at Oslo, we tried enquiring over Wideroe's chat and were abruptly cut off with "if you're not going to ask me any more questions I'm ending this chat now".. "clunk". Thanks Wideroe for your friendly service..

Wish I could give 0. By far the worst experience I have ever had with an airline. The flight was delayed (unavoidable) but communication around this was terrible. They had also oversold the flight, meaning a passenger had to volunteer to move to a later flight. Not only this, but they did not put my luggage on the plane after loading some checked bags in to the cabin itself. There was zero communication from the company about this upon arrival at my destination and even when I asked at the baggage area the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. 24 hours later, I am yet to receive any update about my baggage and when I finally was able to reach them via phone (tried email, chat and numerous phone calls) they said there was nothing they could do as Bergen was so overloaded with missing baggage and the best case scenario would be to send another email as they weren’t answering the phone. So now I am stuck in Tromsø in -15 degrees with none of my items. Absolutely unbelievable, shocking customer service.
Happy customers
We live in Northern Norway, Helgeland and are flying regularly with Widerøe. Very capable and friendly personel. You know that they do their utmost best to get you to your destination even in very difficult weather conditions. Their customer service chat is fantastic! Open late and 9 out of 10 times you get the info that you needed in a quick/professional way. Yesterday Widerøe`s chat saved my nephew a lot of hassle.
None existent customer service
None existent customer service. Incorrect information published on website for customer service opening hours over Christmas. Generic and impersonal response via email. So disappointing for an airline I’ve flown with for over 20 years. We had a booking error… no one cared. The level of disinterest was alarming. Followed by being completely ignored. More alarming are the reviews left here. What is going on Widerøe? I hope the new CEO can sort it out and restore Widerøe to the great airline I always thought they were.

Flight on Wednesday at 7.30 am from Stavanger to Aberdeen gets cancelled at Midnight due to aircraft not available. and I am moved to partner airline flight at 9.30 missing my meeting.
Return flight from Aberdeen to Stavanger at 16.30 gets cancelled and they move us to Aberdeen - Bergen -Stavanger getting home 5 hours later due to aircraft unavailable again.
Either they have the worst engineers or they wait to see if flights can be cancelled due to low passenger numbers and move you. Either way twrrible airline

The airline cancelled our flight 2 hours before takeoff and offered an 11 euro food voucher as compensation for booking us on a flight 7 hours later. Terrible customer service, do not book with this Airline! I wish i had read reviews sooner.
Lost baggage claim STILL not paid
My lost baggage claim has still not been closed out: 2024-20869-Morrison CRM:0001033422.
Firstly, I emailed all receipts for toiletries and clothing. They eventually replied saying they wouldn't pay the clothing however, I supposedly hadn't attached clothing receipts (I had). I emailed again with the clothing receipts, they eventually reply saying they will pay within 10 days. Low and behold, still no payment. This is nearly 2 MONTHS since I filed the claim. They have no complaints procedure or phone number. You can chat to "support" but they can't do anything for claims. HOW CONVENIENT. What kind of customer service is this...
