Unfriendly staff, luggage thiefs

They took my bag even if it fit the permitted size. Unfriendly staff. They barely speak English.

Our ground and aircrew do follow the rules below:

Cabin Baggage
All passengers, 2 years and above can bring 1 cabin baggage within the measurements of max 8 kg/18 lbs, 55 x 40 x 20 cm. In addition to one cabin baggage, you can bring one personal item, such as one small handbag or one small laptop bag. Maximum size for the personal item is 40 x 30 x 15 cm and is included in the total weight of the cabin baggage - 8 kilos - per passenger.

Liquids (including gels and pastes) must be packed in containers with a volume of max 100 ml. Containers must be placed in a resealable 1-liter transparent plastic bag (max 1 bag per passenger).

Great

I use Wideroe as often as I can when flying from and to Aberdeen. Never had an issue with them, even when a flight was cancelled at short notice the guy at Stavanger got us another flight back to Aberdeen via Bergen. I have used the other carrier, the one with 3 initials, they just don't seem to care to be honest.
Wideroe, I will continue to use as looks like I will be flying back and forth for a little while yet

The most abusive ground flight attendant is in Bergen and works for Widerøe

The most abusive, rude, aggressive, and vindicative ground flight attended I have ever seen in 20 years. I was in Bergen ready to board. The ground attendant had a kindergarten attitude telling off any woman who would ask a question. A 40 yo business lady asked the rude lady what was her boarding "zone," because this was not on her boarding pass. The rude lady asked for the passenger's passport and when she saw that the passenger had a Norwegian passport shouted at her that she should speak Norwegian "why are you not speaking Norwegian? You are in Norway..and so on". The passenger said she spoke English all day at work and was tired.. the passenger got told off again and when she replied "I do not appreciate your tone" the rude Wideroe Ground attendant told her that she was no longer allowed to board if she would not shut up. The passenger asked what on Earth did she do? At this point, the Wideroe Ground attendant called the police and told the passenger that she was not boarding the flight. In the end, the passenger was not allowed into the flight. I hope she sues the rude lady and Wideroe! This is abusive and criminal! Wideroe should fire her!

Service was very poor

We went to Aberdeen airport to fly to Bergen and fifteen minutes before the plane was due to arrive we were told the flight was cancelled. We were given a room overnight and told we would be served dinner which turned out to be a buffet with no choice. The next day we turned up at the airport to be told that we had missed the flight - this had gone into the spam box and we had been told to come mid morning the night before. We missed out on a whole day. The staff at the airport were very kind. On the way back we were again held up for over two hours which meant a late drive back of over four hours. We sent for a refund but 20 months later we have had no response at all and our lawyers have been in touch with no response either. I most definitely won't be going with Wideroe again unless they give us a refund.

SCAMMERS

The only way I could take the flight was if I broke the law/mandatory quarantine and you wouldn't even give me a voucher for the value of the flight. TERRIBLE SERVICE!

avoiding to pay refunds

I purchased ticket to travel for work to Kristiansand, Norway. The airline cancelled both trips due to Covid 19, but is currently refusing to refund tickets, which they are legally required to do, due to EU customer regulations. The responsibility to refund customers lies with the airline, not with the travel agent as wrongly advised. I am trying to resolve but would avoid any dealings or bookings at Wideroe at all costs. Deplorable, dishonest, fraudulent.

WORST airline EVER!

WORST airline EVER!
We're in the middle of a Global Pandemic and these people don't give out refunds. IT IS INSANE!!! The customer service is HORRIFIC as well!
We asked the rep: "so even in a global pandemic when we are NOT ALLOWED to travel to your country, you cannot give us a refund?" The reply was "ONLY Airport Tax is refundable." THEN THIS GUY HUNG UP!!!! WOW!!!
WORST EVER! YOU GUYS SHOULD JUST CLOSE YOUR BUSINESS.
GREEDY AND SHAMELESS.

NOT UNDERSTANDING AT ALL FOR INTERNALL FLIGHTS!

Every airline in the world is helping customers in every way they can by giving vouchers for another flight or even doing full refunds. But Wideroe doesn't seem to see that there is a world pandemic going around and decided to not change at all their policies. Brilliant service during COVID-19

Had to cancel flights due to Norway closing the borders and could not have received a more prompt, friendly and helpful response. I managed to receive a full refund on my flights which being from Australia was far more helpful to me than Travel vouchers as I’m not sure when I’ll be able to rebook our dream holiday. One thing is for sure though, when we DO rebook our holiday, all flights will be through this company. Thank you so much for your help during this difficult time for everyone Wideroe. I understand it can’t be easy for many companies and I know I will repay the favour down the track when I return. For now - after waiting 13yrs, my wedding and 8 week trip around Europe was cancelled and I’ve come home to no job. Every refund and positive customer experience along the way through this unprecedented situation helps in being able to work towards returning in the future.

After numerous flight cancellations at Leknes airport lofoten islands ,(no ones fault but the corona virus ,) well after the delays the wideroe staff at the airport went off and purchased pizzas and soft drinks for everyone sat waiting they didn’t have to but they did and it was most welcome , coffee would have been a nice touch as i don’t drink cola ,but I would just like to say a massive thanks to you all very well done kind regards steve altoft ,

Immoral company

Norwegian government closed the borders, but the company insists in acting at least immorally. Since tourist cannot enter the country, we cannot fly internally, and the company is not reimbursing the customers. Weird way to make money. In these moments we see how certain companies keep their ethical standards.

Actually very surprised by this…

Actually very surprised by this company. Cause its a lowbudget flight company, my expectations were low. First of all, they gave me compensation (2000 KR.), thats a lot for 3-4 hours delay because of technical issues WITHIN A MONTH! Wow, never tried that. I didn't even have to send the case to the lawyer. When I am flying with other company and there is a delayed flight, the companys dont give you any information. This is the first time I flew with Widerøe (bought by SAS), and the people working for them were really nice, and always informed the passengers. The ladies were so nice, even when there were a lot of people coming to them asking the same questions, they just smiled and responded nicely. They even gave us foodstamps. But it would have been nice if they wrote the places they had a cooperation with. Ex I tried Joe and The Juice, but they didn't have any cooperation with them. So where to eat, was kind of a jungle. Only because of that 4 stars. But 4 big stars. Very surprised by the compensation.

Great flight with Wideroe!

Flew to Bergen, great price, complimentary tea/coffee would definitely fly with them again. Couple of minor changes to flight times but received email updates. Didn't have to contact them so can't comment on that. Check in was easy.

Quite alright.

The brand new embraer aircrafts is packed to the brim with seats. That means very poor legspace. In my opinion Wideroes old fleet of propeller aircrafts has way better comfort, seatwise. I've also experienced customer service on chat as poor. Besides from this, it is well known that wideroe has really experienced pilots, as the aircrafts fly along the Norwegian coast in almost all sorts of weather conditions. Never experienced any delays in appx 30 flights with wideroe. Great service onboard .

Great service

I have been flying Widerøe for many years (great airline!), and am very satisfied with their service. That also goes for those times when I had to change a booking. As far as I know it isn't possible to call them, but they have a chat-service, which works well.
The only thing that has been annoying on a number of occasions is that Widerøe sometimes changes its already posted flight schedule.

My wife is in tears and it was Wideroe's fault.

My wife is in tears because of what Wideroe has done.

I ordered tickets and after purchase, a pop up - then - advertised the cheaper option. The airline told us to cancel the ticket and buy at the cheaper price. We cancelled. The price went up by £200. With ill informed online chat and no phone number the situation is unresolved and we have had to cancel our Holiday. My wife is in tears. My children are disappointed. The cousins don't get to see the family this year.

If you can avoid Wideroe, you can avoid this abysmal lack of customer care.

i know it's very cheap,
but the travle to Norway went very well but the help ate the website is nothing i would ever dream of to use again.
