Absolutely shocking experience

Absolutely shocking experience, pushy sales but they don’t deliver on any thing they’ve said.
Called me difficult because I didn’t want to pay a private courier £100 upfront & get my delivery charge refunded up to 5 working days later (just to point out this was after not having the delivery for the past 3 planed dates) so felt like either pay £100 or don’t get the sofa.
Then the storage pouffe was later than planned & they kept changing their dates & expecting us to always be available for them.
The sofa came with stains (granted the store gave me cleaning solution & sponge to clean) & pouffe came damaged & was told the driver will report it & gave us no instructions on how we could report the damage.

Store manager advised using the no interest finance option as we didn’t have the total funds on that day & planned to return a week later but he wanted to push the sale.
Told that payment would not be taken until delivery yet I noticed I payed from the original delivery date & not when I received the Pouffe.

The positive:
They did give us lamps & a cushion at a cheaper rate due to use being messed around (with the sofa delivery).
We love the furniture & it was the best quality for the price & most definitely happy with the purchase just wish the journey was bettter.

Amy , an asset to the business

Served by a lovely girl amy , very helpful , was never pushy , this was a second visit once we had made our mind up, she remembered us , and again excellent customer service, she is very knowledgable . The shop should recognise this young lady's qualities as she is an asset to the shop

Fantastic Service

Fantastic service from the moment we stepped into the store and were greeted and assisted by Abjal a few months ago in Stevenage. Sofa arrived today and it is PERFECT! The delivery guys were very helpful and assembled the sofa for us in the living room and were polite and courteous throughout. Highly recommended - 5 Stars!

Great bunch at scs Stevenage!

Friendly lot and for me they covered that extra mile when a bigger expense involved...great service! The best staff in Stevenage yet! That extra mile Mr. Say so boss of all stores....goes a long way! Thank you Stevenage!!

Delayed delayed delayed and then never…

Delayed delayed delayed and then never arrived. Asked for a refund and it took an age! Never going there ever again. I wasn’t too sure about buying from them and this experience solidified the never going to buy from them. I ask for their complaints form and was met with a Doh? What’s that? Ridiculous.

Very disappointed with this company +

Very disappointed with this company +
I brought a sofa a while back paid for insurance with it aswell, within a year metal has torn through the wooden frame work an torn my sofa cushions!
When I've contacted sfs they hace told me insurance will not cover this, an I will have to pay 75 pounds for a tec to come out an assess the damage
Frame work is also ment to have a 5 year warranty.
In response to your reply I did report this years ago an it took months to get any response.
As I have insurance doesn't this cover rips?
As the metal thats broken through the frame work has ripped the cushion this is what I want replaced.

Zero stars if it were an option

Zero stars if it were an option. They con you into buying sofas by lying that the sofas come dismantled however they don’t and when my sofa didn’t fit, they said the cost would be £150 each per sofa. They never mentioned this to me when I was in store. It was all verbal hence being able to get away with it. Their manager “Abz” who can only talk on the phone and becomes invisible in store, was extremely rude and unhelpful. Please buy elsewhere because they just rob you of your money.

Sofa delivery-excellent

From start to finish, scs brilliant including drivers. Staff in SCS extremely helpful, polite and knowledgeable. When it came to delivery day, very helpful regarding the tracking app. Even received a call from driver with time of delivery. The drivers absolutely fantastic, no issues at all. Furniture placed where we wanted. My husband was very impressed with drivers and delivery.

Shockingly Bad Quality!!!!

If I could give no stars I would!!
Our new three piece suite (Casola in upgraded leather) and it looked years old within 2 weeks! We contacted ScS who sent someone out to look at it, they said it was settlement and that 'puddling' is normal, he offered to put 2 inches of extra padding in so the leather did not look so stretched. We declined this as the suite was only 2 weeks old and only had light use.
We have been trying to get them to take it back to get a refund, but they say it is not a manufacturing fault. I strongly advise you to not use this company, the ScS customer service is a disgrace and quality is shockingly awful!!

Absolute disgrace of a company.

Absolute disgrace of a company.
Our leather recliners look like they are 10 years old after only 2 weeks of light use 😡😡
They sent an inspection assessor who said it was settlement...... basically it is poor quality rubbish nothing like what is in store...... purchased from the Stevenage branch. I went back to the branch for help only for them to call the police to eject me from the store.... AVOID THIS COMPANY. £4350.00 DOWN THE DRAIN!!!!!!!

Dont pay for assembly!!!!!!!!!!

We ordered a sofa and armchair from the Stevenage branch in February and it arrived at beginning of June. Great sofa and chair, but when the delivery driver turned up we was informed that we had to pay £300 to him to assemble it. I looked at the invoice and there was nothing on it saying we had to pay £300. I questioned it with the delivery driver and he said we couldnt have it until we paid the money. This was at 7.30 am so couldnt check with the store. Spoke to the aftercare team later on and was informed that the sales person instore had told us verbally that we would have to pay this with nothing telling us on the invoice. We went into store and sales person confirmed that she had told us, but i kept referring to the invoice that didnt say anything about this. She just shrugged her shoulders. We are not very happy with this but they say the "told us verbally".
I watched the delivery driver take apart the sofa and the reassemble in our living room and it took him 15 minutes.
Moral of the story, get everything in writing and dont pay for the assembling because it is a total rip off. £300 for 15 minutes. Pretty good money if you ask me.
Very dissapointed in SCS

Looking over the notes it does show that this was discussed at the point of sale due to the size of the furniture and that this would need to be arranged once the furniture arrived at our Distribution Centre.

We ordered sofas in January and were…

We ordered sofas in January and were told the delivery date would be march for one set of sofas and April for the second set of sofas. The delivery was meant to be April 18th but they weren’t and then they said it was delayed and that we would get a new date. Since then we have been to the Stevenage branch three times and are still being told they will let us know the new date for delivery. We were told a new date would be arranged within a week and after this they said they can only deliver on the 30th of May and the day before the delivery date is e received a message saying unfortunately they can’t deliver it and since then we’ve been chasing them up for a new delivery date and still haven’t received a new date for delivery. It’s been more than 24 weeks and still haven’t received our sofas

Stewart and Keenan were great…

Stewart and Keenan were great ,delivering on time very polite and helpful .
They were professional .removing all packaging and making sure everything was in good condition .checked everything was working and that we were happy with our furniture.

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service. I haven’t received my order I placed in January which was to be delivered on the 7th March. Fast forward several delays I got an text 21/5 saying to pay for the sofa and it will be delivered finally on the 3rd June and only to receive a text on the 28th to say delivery is delayed without a date. Since I have been trying to get my money back emailed the store, even spoken to the Stevenage Store Manger a couple of times and he keeps on saying his shop floor is full of customers and he can’t deal with me. I am a customer too and I do not understand why after taking more than £1000 I’m not important. He is meant to be calling with ‘options’ and in the same breath he’s said nothing will happen because it’s the weekend. Hoping he’s call me or am I a fool to think he’d ever want to sort this issue. Absolutely disgusting. I will be reaching out to ombudsman as I have no hope after reading other reviews too

Delivered on time

Delivered on time. Guys did well to get it in.
However was concerned at rough handling off lorry having spent £5000 !!
