Are you about to go bust
Are you about to go bust? Your call centre customer service line says closed at 10am on Thursday morning, and the other numbers to call just says you are in a queue but 50mins later still hanging on, requested a call back and never happened. Supposed to be having a sofa delivered but can’t get in touch with anyone. Also your contact form does not work.

Can’t fault
Sofa delivery arrived at time expected. Was initially given a 5hr window the day before but then received a message in the morning with an accurate 1hr slot.
Driver then messaged when 30 mins away.

The two delivery men where a delight to deal with very polite and efficient, could not fault them in any way.
My only criticism is the depot should of notified me a rough time of the delivery and i did not receive anything.

Delivery of sofa
Sofa arrived as time scale suggested. Driver kept us informed of whereabouts and timings. Driver checked entrance and then proceeded to bring in the sofa took the plastic wrapping off and joined the two parts together all done in about 15 minutes. The two delivery men departed having been careful not to damage anything in the house. Very impressed on how they conducted themselves and very polite. Overall an excellent experience.
Poor communication
Store staff were amazing. Pleasant enough people who delivered the furniture swiftly. Shame they didn’t keep us informed. We were called before 7 to be told they’d come in 45 mins. They were more than an hour after that and didn’t call to notify us or apologise for the delay. They cited traffic as an issue but didn’t actually apologise

Visited the Kilmarnock SCS today, when in for a look. Bought a grey corner sofa and chair. Norman served us was so friendly, had a bad experience with another sofa company. Norman was fantastic wasn’t heavy selling. Great information about sofa. Left us to have a think. Was so nice. Great customer service.

We spent nearly £3,000 on a sofa from SCS Bolton, and within just 22 days, it’s already developed multiple faults. We contacted them, completely unhappy, and asked to return it. Their response? “We can fix it, but if you don’t want it repaired, tough – we’re not taking it back.”
Excuse me? It’s not even been a month! If it’s already falling apart now, what’s it going to be like in a year? We paid for a quality product, not something that needs repairs straight out of the box.
Their attitude was shocking – no apology, no care, just a flat-out “we have the right to say no” when we asked for a return. That’s how little they value their customers once they have your money.

ScS are useless
ScS messed up so many times over the past few days it's hard to give them the benefit of doubt. Firstly they used my billing address instead of my delivery address for our sofa, we called them to let them know they'd made a mistake the day before, and were reassured the right address was being used now and we would receive our sofa. Upon delivery day the tracking is still showing the wrong address and didn't arrive at our home, we called
again to ask what went wrong, especially since they'd told us it wouldn't be an issue. The manager on the phone then blamed us for not trying to change the address sooner (even though it was their mistake,and we had no idea they'd made it until the day prior to delivery) we asked if the delivery driver could come from the billing address to the delivery address (2 minute walk away) they told us no and that the delivery would have to come on another day even though we had booked the day off from work to receive the delivery.
Management didn't seem to care that they'd caused us problems and again tried to insinuate that we should have sorted this out earlier (Our email confirmation of our order had the correct delivery address on it so how were we supposed to know). The sofa finally arrived 5 days later after rearranging a date with the management, as a gesture of goodwill they also offered to refund us the delivery cost of the order (£119) however as of right now I still haven't seen any money refunded back into my account. This delivery was absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced, we won't shop with ScS again and would recommend everyone avoid the shop to prevent headaches and disappointment.

Excellent delivery service
I received my furniture today and the delivery service was excellent. I received well timed messages about my delivery, with a very accurate delivery time and the phone call before hand on the day was great too. The team that arrived were very professional and set everything up just where we requested. Thanks very much.
AVOID!
Sofas ordered July for delivery in October. As instructed I did not arrange for my old settees to go until delivery date confirmed. Due tomorrow, confirmation again received at 09.46, followed by another at 10.15 cancelling delivery. Called Oldham store and given number to call.....took me back to Oldham store. Next told won't be delivered until after 29th. So old sofa gone and at least 2 week until new one comes. Say I'll cancel and told "you have no comeback it's in the small prin, we can be up to 4 weeks after expected delivery date" It wasn't an expected delivery date, it was a confirmed one! Next given an email address to contact, result was a reply, this mailbox is no longer in use. Phone the store back but they insist this is the right mailbox.....Mickey mouse outfit, no idea what they are doing. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered my sofa's devastated. Whole family have no where to sit but SCS not interested in the slightest
I finally got through to customer services, admitted they send out delivery dates before they have even got a definite date as they don't want to to have to store the sofas due to limited space. Therefore this happens often.
Worthless apologies with no intention to stop putting people in this position. I am so worried about the quality of my sofa's now I know what a cowboy outfit they are

SCS will take your money and run
I purchased a power recliner from this now Italian company. SCS is not British anymore! I paid £1,577.00 including delivery. I purchased online after looking in the store. The sofa came with a stitching fault on the backs of the sofa (wish I could upload photos of the sofa issue) the left back stitching was 1.5 inches higher than the right, this is how the sofa came from the Italian manufacturer. SCS is now Italian-owned! SCS sent out a technician from the Emmiera group. They repaired the sofa by pulling the fabric tighter. But then I got crinkles in the back so I wanted compensation. I signed the technician's work as "not happy" after contacting SCS they sent out another technician. Both technicians agreed it was a manufacturing fault! SCS basically told me to get lost and go to the ombudsman! Disgusting customer support for a pensioner with huge health issues. All these furniture companies are the same. I had the same issues with Furniture Village in February 2025, they used the same technicians, and they replaced the sofa but the 2nd sofa was in a worse condition than the first. Furniture Village refused to replace it again. They collected the sofa and I was left with nothing to sit on. Furniture Village also ripped me off £200 in their refund! Disgusting from both companies. They will grab your money and run and not give any customer service. In the end, SCS told me to go to the ombudsman! Disgusting behaviour!!
