Problem with the Insurance
Yescapa sells you a mandatory insurance with the rental, thus avoiding all the paperwork for the people involved. When renting the Van, Yescapa provides you with a very straightforward insurance confirmation - or so it seems. While the tel. number on the document allows you to contact the insurance (in our case, Allianz), there is also the license plate and the insurance number on that confirmation.
Now, we needed the insurance indeed, because I broke my wrist and could not go on driving. The repatriation was included in the mandatory insurance.
However, when we called the insurance, they were unable to find neither the insurance number that was on the confirmation nor the license plate - our insurance seemed to be non-existent.
Contacting Yescapa with regards to this problem turned out to be very difficult. It is impossible to reach them by phone (you only get to a bot who can't help you), and we did not receive any answer to our online messages until we wrote in ALL CAPS and expressed our outrage very clearly. Still, when they finally did reply, they provided us with a new insurance number which - again - the insurance was unable to find. Only after almost a week, hours of phone calls with the insurance and a lot of stress (a friend even went to their adress in Berlin, only to find out that Yescapa was not there anymore), Yescapa finally confirmed to the insurance that we were indeed insured. Afterwards, the coordination for the repatriation was incredibly easy and worked very smoothly.
Already the fact that the data on the insurance confirmation are wrong is outraging. Add in the impossibility of contacting Yescapa, and their inability to solve the problem smoothly (or give any explanation whatsoever), and you have several days of supposedly stress-free vacation lost...
This is unbelievable, and I would not want to know what happened if we had a more serious and urgent accident.

Used Yescapa twice now, once for Switzerlad with my son and then malaga as a family. The whole booking process is easy, I don't trust the other companies, I've heard some bad stories about people not getting deposits back and stuff like that, but with yescapa I feel a lot safer as its mainly owners that are hiring out their campers .The prices are quite reasonably too and no hidden stuff added on when your holiday is over!! Next one coming up, Switzerland!!🥰 can't wait!! Keep it up Yescapa!!

I rented an RV through Yescapa. One hour after leaving the owner of the RV the air intake to the engine broke, which meant we could only drive 50km per hour the rest the of the trip! When returning the RV to the owner, the owner accused us of scratching damages we had nothing to do with and refused to pay us back the 1200eur deposit. In our attempt to get some of our deposit back, we had another RV repair shop provide a quote of the damages, which were half of the deposit. But still the owner did not want to pay us back some of the deposit. Yescapa does not get involved unless the dispute cost is higher than what the deductible (1500eur) is on the insurance, which we also bought. Strangely enough, the quote of the damages from the owner was also 1500eur. Had it been more than that, the insurance company would get involved and they would have their mechanic provide a quote, which the owner wasn't interested in. This experience has been a complete nightmare. We've been scammed by the owner and all facilitated by Yescapa who provides zero help. We are never going to use Yescapa again. Stay away! Or be prepared to loose your entire deposit each time. Will go with a legitimate company like IndieCamper or RoadSurfer. We're left with lost vacation days, no compensation and only option to take legal action if we are to recoup any of our deposit. Horrible.

I can't put less starts. Such a scam. We rented a van in Mallorca. When we returned the owner found a little scratch (not more than 5 cm) which we didn't make but we assumed we had to pay for it. As we paid the deposit (€1500) the owner said Yescapa will take care of it with the insurance. 3 months and a half and more than 10 chasers sent to yescapa we haven't get any news about our deposit. Also imposible escalate it because they don't have where to leave a biggest complain.

Our van cancelled two weeks before our holiday in the middle of summer in Italy. No explanation was given, no message from the owner, nothing. Yescapa is impossible to contact, gives no solutions and leaves you on your own. Due to it being July in europe, there were zero rental options available. We lost money, our holiday was ruined. Don't trust this company. If something goes wrong, gets cancelled etc, you're on your own.

It's great until somebody damaged your car.
It's been 3 mois my car is out of order, I spend an insane amount of time dealing alone with insurance and assistance. Still waiting. Yescapa is no help.
I will have to pay the repairs first before hopefully been covered.
Still wondering how it's gonna turn out financially.
And what an incredible waste of time and money.
I will never rent out my camper again.
Not nearly worth the struggle.
And it is, in my case a small repair.
I can't imagine how it must be like when the car is ruined.

It was super cool experience: we did a 5-day trip to Algarve, along the coast. Not only trip was scenic, but also fun. You could sleep/cook/relax in the woods or near the ocean or simply on the parking lot: wherever it's allowed (or not prohibited) by the law. The camper itself has everything you need for a quick escape from the routine and compact enough to not make any problems with driving and parking. Due to lack of AC it could be a bit hot on the highways when windows are closed, but who needs the highways on such a trip anyway?
