Sadly enough we had a bad experience with Yescapa. We've rented a van for a 5 days trip from a girl in Spain (€200/night) and ended up paying for a repair on something we didn't break.
It turned out the van wasn't maintained at all and a lot of stuff was broken: the back door didn't close properly, the drivers door couldn't be locked from the outside, the sliding door was super hard to open and close, the tap was broken....when we've noticed after our first night sleep that the folding bed was broken, we've contacted teh owner immediately. First the owner said it wasn't our fault, but later that week she said we broke it. We ended up paying for the reparation costs even if we know that we didn't break it. I've tried to contact yescapa, but I coul only reach them by mail and they answered me after days asking for photos. We've send them photos and after that it was complete silence.

Great idea, great van, nice owner, however, cash security deposit with the owner directly?? Seriously??? That was such a pain, and costly, coming from America and trying to get €2,000 into the owners account. Exchange rate margin on cash would’ve cost $175 to go from $ to € back to $. Plus I was traveling in Paris a week before my rental began, am I supposed to carry that much cash around Paris?? Fees on wire transfer from Wells Fargo and back were $150. Even if the owner wouldve excepted cashiers check from an American bank the fees to deposit that would’ve been the highest. Not to mention all of these were time consuming. Yescapa exists as a payment platform for this, can’t you just put a hold on my CC or something??

Just returned from an incredible 8-day trip around Tenerife with a camper van from Volcano Campers. It was an absolutely fantastic experience! The van was clean, well-equipped with everything we needed, and ran perfectly, allowing us the freedom to explore the island at our own pace. The team at Volcano Campers was super friendly and helpful from start to finish. They gave us great recommendations for places to see and spots to park overnight. Waking up to a new, breathtaking view every morning was the highlight of our trip. If you want a unique and unforgettable way to see Tenerife, I highly recommend them. We can't wait to go back!

Unfortunately my motorhome didn't make it back to me after a renter overheated the engine to the point of no return ! Yescapa provides no direct contact phone number and via email they respond once every couple of weeks, if that. It's not reassuring, it's tiring and stressful, I'm not impressed.

Cédric's motorhome is well thought out and very well equipped, with many extras and clever features. Technically, the vehicle is in excellent condition and is very easy and comfortable to drive. Cédric himself is very sympathetic and helpful: he is very easy going and hospitable and explains in detail everything his motorhome has to offer. If possible, we would give him and his camper 10 stars!

Very bad experience with Yescapa. We got stuck with a van that broke down during our stay in Menorca. No solution was provided (not even a hotel or alternative), and in the end we were told we won’t get any money back (We paid 800euros for 5 days). Extremely disappointing and absolutely not trustworthy — avoid at all costs.

The whole experience with renting and travelling with the van was great. We had the opportunity to stay in lovely locations by the sea and experienced a sense of freedom that otherwise is hard to get.

Absolute disaster! The initial contact with the owner went smoothly. Picking up the vehicle went smoothly (maybe a little too fast but the owner seemed rushed). There was already quite a bit of damage to the body of the vehicle, but for me that was no problem. However, once I left, an error message ("revision mechanic immédiat") appeared after 1 to 2 hours of (highway) driving and I was dealing with a loss of power that caused the car on the motorway to slow down. The owner assured me that I could continue driving. After the problem reappeared, I decided to call in for assistance. (Through the assistance insurance, which also had contact with the owner, I learned that the owner was aware of the technical problem - scandalous !!)
Important: Yescapa remained unreachable in the meantime and I still haven't heard from them since then!!
Yescapa or the assistance insurance did not intervene to :
take care of overnight stay.
to take care of a replacement car to provide reimbursement of the rented motorhome
The owner refuses to carry out the reimbursement!
It has become a nightmare!
No one who takes responsibility for this failure!
This is no longer of this time!!
No more holidays with Yescapa (for us)!

Contracts are made in a way that YesCapa is always non responsible for any trouble users might have.
I have been scammed by one of the camper owners and I received no support from YesCapa.
do not use YesCapa. You could get yourself in troubles and ruin your holidays.

The most important is that there is nobody like you you monopoly the market 😃
This is on a positive note and also on a positive note things that could improve is the map ability on an iPhone. The rating that could be 4.5 for example and also the communication it is really annoying to have to check the mail every time and to be honest the first thing we do with our renters is to go on WhatsApp or Viber. However, I cannot emphasise more how important and usable is your app and I hope you continue to do great!

Together with my 2 children I had a fantastic time! The campervan was complete, the guidance and reception was more than good. If there was a question during the trip, they were immediately ready for you. Nice to be able to fall back on something. An absolute must for a nice holiday!

We rented a van through YesCapa in Tenerife (Canary Islands). After the first day, when night came, we discovered that the van was infested with cockroaches.
We promptly contacted YesCapa, trusting their widely advertised 24-hour assistance would help us. However, after an extensive email back-and-forth (there is no number you can call), their “solution” was to cancel our reservation, reimburse only their commission, and simply ask the van’s owner to return what we had paid. This left us stranded on our holiday with nowhere to sleep, relying solely on a private individual to refund €500. On top of that, we had purchased additional insurance through YesCapa, which they refused to reinburse us.
The result? Two nights sleeping surrounded by cockroaches, two full days of our holiday wasted trying to resolve the problem ourselves, and still missing €260.
So be aware: if you rent with YesCapa, things may go smoothly when all goes well. But if something goes wrong, you may be left entirely on your own to deal with highly uncomfortable situations during your holidays, and it could cost you a lot of money.
Honestly. Rent from a real rental, it will cost you less in the end.

A brilliant concept, but a few improvements are needed, in particular:
- A reliability rating for the van owner (“has never cancelled a booking / sometimes cancels bookings / often cancels bookings”)
- When a cancellation comes from the owner, ask them for the reason and communicate it to the renter. This could help make owners more accountable when renters find themselves without accommodation and a vehicle for their holiday!

Un concept génial, mais quelques améliorations nécessaires et notamment :
- une note de fiabilité du propriétaire du van ("n'a jamais annulé aucune réservation / annule parfois les réservations / annule souvent les réservations")
- lorsqu'il y a une annulation de la part du propriétaire du véhicule, demander au propriétaire la raison et la communiquer au locataire. Cela peut responsabiliser le propriétaire face au locataire démuni de logement et de véhicule pour ses vacances !

Customer service barely exists for this platform. If an owner of a vehicle decides to keep the deposit, there is not much you can do about it.
Don't trust the reviews on the Yescapa website! They rejected my negative review of the rental. Easy to have great reviews when you don't publish negative ones!
We paid 2000EUR cash deposit and something broke off the side of the van whilst driving. Not our fault. Owner's fault. Old van with weathered parts. Forced us to pay.
Their mandatory 'insurance' fee is nonsense. It won't cover you.
Owner refused to return anything and kept the whole 2000EUR deposit. Luckily he sent a bank transfer for a partial refund, after we had returned to our home country.
This platform do not care. The website is buggy. Their phone number does not work, there is just a message telling you to email them. There is not even a proper web page for customer service or disputes. The app simply copies your enquiry to your email app, so you have to email them.
If you are lucky enough to get some kind of reply from Yescapa, expect them to side with the owner and take no action.
Pay the extra few euros for a proper van rental! This platform is too risky and they don't deserve your money.
