Absolutely fantastic job, very happy. Our salesman Ricci was very pleasant and comfortable to be around and help put us at ease. He knew his stuff and clearly cared about the product. All was sorted very quickly and the job was done by fitter Kev and his apprentice son who again were very good and pleasant to have working around the home. Very tidy job and you wouldn't have known they were here after they left. Already noticing the difference with the French doors with the hot weather 😁 highly Recommend

I recently had Tyneside Home Improvements fitting new windows and doors in my home, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the initial consultation to the final installation, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail.
The quality of their products is outstanding, the windows and doors are not only aesthetically pleasing but also energy efficient, which has already made a noticeable difference in noise cancelling and draft exclusion. The installation was seamless, with Kevin and Lewis respecting my space and completing the work on time.
Customer service was exceptional, they answered all my questions and provided helpful recommendations tailored to my needs. I highly recommend Tyneside Home Improvements to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality window and door solutions.
I will definitely be using them again for future projects!

A fantastic Hybrid orangery. The work men they had in place and took part in this build were of a high standard and were clean fast and efficient being tidy at every stage, they all are a credit to the company. I was particularly impressed with Keny and his team who had the lions share of the ground/building works and who were attentive and meticulous in every detail. Michael was patient and understanding at every stage of the process and helped throughout, they deliverered exactly what they promised. Would definitely recommend.

Had our garage converted to add an accessible therapy room and open up our kitchen so it is also accessible. Had been great customer service from start to finish.
Pricing was very reasonable and nothing was too big of an ask.
Some issues with the roofers not turning up and having to leave for other jobs. This was discussed with Anthony who was straight onto the roofers to get it sorted.
Want to give a shout out to the plasterer who was incredible. Went above and beyond for us, working weekends to get it done quicker which was great as we need the room for our little boy.
Few snagging bits as to be expected but again, very responsive and helpful in resolving them.
For us, this was a huge project that would have a massive impact on our lives, both whilst being done with the disruption and when finished for the space it would give to our boy who is severely disabled. The team knew that and worked to ensure our home was safe and secure whilst keeping disruption to a minimum, and have finished it to an incredible standard. They ensured doorways were widened and everything was adapted to suit our boys needs.
We now have a room perfect for physical therapy as well as a big accessible family kitchen.
Huge thanks to all involved.

From start to finish everything was carried out with professionalism and the utmost care. The biggest impression made apart from the job itself was the clearing and tidying up afterwards.
Can’t recommend enough.
In a market that is flooded with choice, Tyneside Home Improvements are in my opinion at the top of their profession. Special mention for Paul, Daniel and the 2 Johnnys. Outstanding lads.

We have had an extension added onto the back of our house, extending the drawing room and utility room. Overall we are very pleased with the new extension: the bifold doors and glass roof panels add a lot of light and sense of space to the rooms. What we really liked about THI was the high quality design and materials, the clear way the whole plan was set out, including a payment schedule with no hidden extras, the way the project management was done and the quality and professionalism of the whole operation. Every one of the THI tradesmen who worked on our extension was a hard worker, professional and experienced, helpful and pleasant to have around. The connection with and handover to Premier Kitchens of Hexham (also excellent!) was extremely helpful for fitting out the utility room. We had some snags: the overall timescale slipped considerably, sometimes avoidably - for example the fact that we had a Calor Gas boiler was missed from the survey which meant a time consuming search for a contractor who had a Calor Gas license and who in the end was slipshod and caused further problems. We would have appreciated more proactive communications about progress, what to expect each week and issues - even if it is bad news it is better to know. However once a problem had been identified a lot of hard work and focus was put in to fix it - we hope that will continue if needed! Overall an excellent job, but some learning points as well. We would recommend THI.

THI installed our orangery 8 years ago. We have had little problems with it. Recently 3 issues developed. Damage to the finial, leaking down pipe and a security window latch that wouldn’t secure. THI’s operatives turned up when they said they would, the defects were resolved with no quibble and THI chased around to find the right part to replace the broken finial support. In other words it was a proper repair not a “patch up”.

Overall, our experience with Tyneside Home Improvements has been disappointing. The company's complete lack of customer care and communication let's them down badly, overshadowing the final product.
At our initial meetings, we were promised project plans, weekly updates about current and future work and a five week build time as the job was deemed to be simple. End to end, the project has taken close to eleven weeks and without our input and constant chasing, it would likely have taken much longer. There were several weeks where no work was carried out and we didn't hear from anyone at THI.
From the outset, we had to hassle THI for a start date and tradesmen would often arrive at the house without any prior warning. We even had an instance of scaffolders appearing at four o clock one Sunday afternoon, not ideal.
In terms of the build itself, one of the walls was built too high, partially as a result of the incorrect scaffolding being delivered and the builder balancing on the fence during construction. The internal doors were also measured incorrectly and had to be adjusted at the workshop, meaning we were left with a piece of chipboard for a dining room wall for around three weeks, extremely poor given we have a two year old.
The final straw for us was when the frame fitters arranged to work the weekend to make time back up. We reluctantly agreed but to note, they were a father and son team who some days didn't arrive on site until around eleven and then left again at two. Although we had rearranged a holiday to accommodate this, the fitters then cancelled on the Saturday morning due to illness. Although I'm sure this was genuine, it did coincide with Sunderland reaching the playoff final and we had already been informed he would be "too hungover" to work on the Sunday. From an outside perspective, this doesn't look professional in the slightest. I then raised a complaint with the company who essentially stopped speaking to us, corresponding by email only.
Throughout the build, there was a general lack of courtesy towards us. At our initial meetings we were promised everything would be left in a tidy state at the end of each day however this simply didn't happen. Tools, including sharp saws, were left in the garden and excess building materials were left for weeks at a time. The plasterers even poured plaster water onto the decorative gravel once they had finished, rather than down the drain.
The whole saga has been exhausting and the customer care has been non-existent. It's very difficult to understand how THI has so many five star reviews as our experience simply doesn't match this. We therefore, would not recommend THI for any building work.
(13/7/25) To be clear with the below reply:
I have tried to be polite/diplomatic in the review I gave. Overall, THI were a disgrace with their overpromises and customer service.
There was no 'banter' with builders and their reasons were genuine. They fell that far behind due to a poor work ethic, they felt the need to work on a weekend, and even then, they couldn't be bothered to turn up. As a customer, I didn't feel the need to name those involved for the sake of their reputation.
In regards to timescales, we promised three different deadlines by three different salesmen, all of which were massively overambitious.
Throughout the build, THI were nonexistent, with the majority of it handled by external contractors. It was extremely difficult to contact office staff, most of which were rude and/or dismissive.
The response given by THI is not representative of the conversation I had with Anthony, and does not give a true reflection of events throughout the build.
Overall, I feel our build was not handled as a 'proper job' and was worked on around other, more expensive, reputable jobs. Given the below feedback, it's clear management have not learnt any lessons and will continue to overpromise their jobs and hide behind their reputation.

We recently had an extension completed by Tyneside Home Improvements and the entire experience was smooth and completely stress-free from start to finish. Every member of the team from sales and office staff to the builders, fitters, plumber, plasterer, and electrician , was professional, friendly, and a pleasure to deal with.
The VR view shown to us at the initial sales appointment really helped us visualise the space, but the reality has far exceeded our expectations , we’re absolutely over the moon with the finished extension. It’s transformed our home and created such a lovely, usable space. Friends and neighbours have all commented on how great the team were and how beautiful the new space is.
A special thanks to Derek and Ian, our builders, who worked tirelessly throughout the project. They were incredibly knowledgeable, trustworthy, and always went the extra mile. Even our dachshund adored them — I think he misses his pals now!
One thing that really stood out was how tidy they kept everything. The site was always left clean and safe at the end of each day, which made such a difference , especially with children and a dog still needing to use the garden.
The work was carried out to a very high standard, with real attention to detail, and completed impressively quickly. We had one small issue with a window, which was sorted almost immediately without any hassle.
We couldn’t be happier and would wholeheartedly recommend Tyneside Home Improvements to anyone thinking of having work done. fantastic team delivering exceptional results.

We had a 30 year old conservatory which was starting to show signs of its old age - uPVCprofiles & polycarbonate roof. The new build started on time and despite some very minor problems which were rapidly resolved by the excellent team it all went very well.
The guys all worked very hard and were helpful.
Teardown/removal of the old conservatory took less than one day only & the new very solid new build took only a further 3 days. We are delighted to now have a very warm room & a high quality roof to building quality standards. The overall outside look of the build is much superior compared to our old plastic one.
Thanks to all at Tyneside Home Improvements !!!

Our job was to provide double glazed sash windows, french doors and a kitchen door for an Edwardian house with a new living extension. The job was in two parts with upstairs replacement windows fitted before the extension was started. Downstairs new windows and doors were fitted when the extension was built. The upstairs replacement windows needed working around some existing valuable wooden blinds. Initially this didn't go well as the fitting team were not able to obtain the interior finish to the refitted wooden blinds that we had agreed with the sales team. THI responded to this problem very well indeed. They activated their customer care team, who were fantastic, and I must give a shout out to Dale, who arrived assessed the problem, worked out a solution and delivered it. The second part of the job was also not problem free as one double glazed unit was damaged in the factory. Once again, customer care were activated and there was a seamless transition between agreeing there was an issue to someone turning up and fixing it. I doubt you could work through a multi-stage job without some finishing issues but THI definitely have the right team structure to respond to problems and deliver a final product that any customer would be happy with.

Our research showed us that Tyneside Home Improvements was the place to go for a new conservatory. Although we still have a few minor things to do we are very pleased with how things are looking. From the plans we knew it would be good but after Paul and Grant completed the building work we were blown away with how amazing it looks. It is beyond anything we expected. There was a small hitch which was soon resolved. Everyone was respectful, polite and considerate. You have a great team. I would recommend Tyneside Home Improvements to anyone. Thank you.

We decided to replace our conservatory roof. After much research we selected 3 “local” companies. We eventually decided upon Tyneside Home Improvements.
This turned out to be one of the best decisions we ever made.
The conversion was managed professionally and the team were brilliant (kept the site clean, worked well together, and very easy to get on with.
We are delighted with the result.
We have had a couple of very minor issues, but they have been quickly resolved by a caring team.
I have not used many organisations wit such an excellent customer ethic, and would recommend them,
For me best in class.
