I am giving 3 stars for the beautiful products. I have been shopping at nkuku for at least 3 years now. It's always been spot on. Last couple of my orders, both placed in November were missing items. It's quite frustrating.. and really make me think, if I should just stop shopping with them. Shame..

Bunch of liars and thief's

Bunch of liars and thief's. Avoid!!
Took £12 000 for creating an open plan kitchen/conservatory without applying for building regulations ( we paid them for the above and they were part of the contract). When the council inspected their work, we were told that it doesn't comply with the building regulations, we lost our home insurance and can't sell the house either. It's been ongoing issue for a couple of years now. A few months ago they commented on my previous review in a very rude way, that I should stop writing it as it's getting resolved. It was 6 months ago and nothing got done about it. We contacted the lender to get the money back. They said that Windows plus roofs promised to get it right. In December we heard more lies that we were meant to due sliding patio door by the end January to solve the building regulations issue. Guess what? The complaint manager told us this week, that they were never ordered and the installation manager lied to her and apparently lost the measurement. That's why they never bothered to come back and get them for 3 months, and lied about the door being ordered? Their excuses and lies are pathetic. Disgusting company that took almost 3 years of our life's. We live under constant stress. Of anything happens to the house, we are not insured. The house meant to be put on the market last year.. We have the contract and all emails when they lie to us... . Tomorrow we are raising this with a lender again wanting our many back, so we could fix the house with a different company and finally move on with our life's.

Avoid!!!

Update
We just spoke today to the senior installation manager from Windows Plus Roofs ( called windows plus now). Open plan kitchen conservatory they done for us doesn't meet Building Regulations ( we had a Durham Council inspection last week). All they want to offer is to create a sliding doors between our kitchen/ conservatory even that we both agreed last week that there wasn't enough room for the frame ( it would leave us with only 45cm pass, as the kitchen island is already very close to the wall). The building regulations were part of the contract. The only problem is that they lied to us and never applied for them. The council wants the conservatory dropped and advised building an extension or reinstate the load bearing wall ( the kitchen island, dishwasher, sink sits there now so that's not an option). Now, they are trying to force us to have those inconvenient doors, that not only make our small space even smaller but we won't be able sell the house with an open plan kitchen/conservatory. We are going to loose some money we invested in this house or even struggle to sell it if we agree to their ridiculous offer. They never offered us any compensation. We currently have 10 year finance ( over £12 000) for the open plan and the building regulations. Windows plus roofs, We are not going to pay much longer for something we haven't received but what was agreed when signing up the contract that you have breached.

We bought the bedroom ranges - Rye chest of drawers and Lewes small wardrobe. Delivery was on time and Jon+Jake M Bro friendly and very helpful. They carried our furniture upstairs and assembled the wardrobe with care and skills. I am never disappointed when I shop with Barker&Stonehouse.

Beautiful products

I shopped at Nkuku previously and have never been disappointed. Everything I have purchased is of an excellent quality and beautiful. All my previous orders always arrived promptly within a few days. This time after 6 days of waiting for my items I decided to email them just to check if everything was OK. I received a response within 30 mins. Natalie apologised and kindly explained that there had been some issues with the courier but my order will be despatched ASAP. I got it the next day. I am very pleased with my new lanterns! Thank you Nkuku! Another great buy from your shop that makes our house looks cosy and stylish.

Avoid!

Another update of my previous reviews. It's been 2 months now and we are still missing the front window in our conservatory. In the meantime I was assured a few times that the window was coming 'within days'. Bits of window sills missing as well. A couple of leaks on the windows already after raining. Over 2 weeks ago I spoke to the manager who said he will send builders over to fill the gap after knocking down the wall ( I told him it was urgent as the hole is stopping our tiler to lay our new floor). Nothing... a week ago on Friday I rang the office. As always they said they will ring me back and didn't. We emailed them 3 days ago.. no response. This whole installation meant to be done in a few days.. after 2 months we have no window, some leaks, hole in the floor, can't do my flooring cause of them and unfinished window sills. To be honest I am not sure if they are able to finish the work started or simple willing to do so? No discount offered, no date for completing the job given..We are gutted. I have had 2 replies from the company on Trustpilot that this will be passed to senior management and sorted asap. Is the senior management on holiday for 2 months??? All lies..we will be going to trading standards. Avoid this company an any costs!

Just an update to my previous review of…

Just an update to my previous review of this company. It's been nearly 6 weeks since they built my conservatory and the front window is still missing. After posted the first review they rang me and promised to sort this out ASAP. Two weeks later I am writing this as we still missing window at the front. The hole has been covered with a plastic. It's cold at night and wondering if this company will pay my gas bill or offer any discount for their incompetence and lack of communication? I am sick of the mess ( all the furnitures from our conservatory piling in the living room), sick of ringing them ( last Friday and today they promised to find out where the glass was but never range me back). We regret going with this company and we don't want other people to do the same mistake. Our family is coming over to visit and we can't even use our dining table as we had to move it to the garage ( conservatory was our dining room). Annoyed, devastated and upset..

Avoid! Disgusting!
We wanted our old conservatory's windows, doors and roof replaced. We also needed a wall between the conservatory and the kitchen to be knocked down. The communication was bad from the very beginning. We got wrong sample brought to us, the job was scheduled for July but because they forgot to order the support beam for the wall they changed the date of the installation just a few days before they meant to start for August. Eventually the builders ( who I can't fault) started on the 16th of August. They worked fast and efficient. The told me that the glass for the gable end of the conservatory was wrongly measured by the surveyor and they had to order a new one ( 2-3 weeks of waiting). The window sills were forgotten as well. The plasterer who meant to fix the wall didn't turn up for the next 2 weeks ( the office said they were understaffed). We were very understanding and patient even that our calls were never returned nor update given by the manager. We had to ring them to get an electrician around as the manager didn't even know we needed one after the wall was knocked down ( we were left with cables and socket hanging from the ceiling to the floor). I have decided to write this after what happened today. The plasterers who came in today were surprised that it wasn't an easy plastering job ( as they were told by the office) but a full day of work. They were still happy to help and do the whole work tomorrow. They looked shocked by the state of the conservatory and that it's been left like this for weeks. They called the manager in front of me asking to be paid more as the job wasn't what they were told but the manager called them off without even contacting us. Our house is a mess ( all stuff from the conservatory like sofa, dining table etc are currently in our tiny living room,still lack of window ( the hole covered with plastic for over 2 weeks now, cold at night! ). Lack of window sills,knocked wall that needs plastering dust etc.. I rang the office after the plasterers left. They said the manager will ring me back.. he never did of course. I don't know what to think of this company. We are angry and disappointed. The house has been a mess for over 2 weeks now. We wasted 2 weeks of our holiday that we took for the work to be carried out. They are charging us £13,000 for this 'amazing job'. It's very upsetting and stressful for us as it's our first home and we were very excited about our kitchen/ conservatory plans. We had to postpone our kitchen renovation due to their unfinished job. We also signed for buy now pay later front door with this company ( we were given a discount for existing customers and as an apology for the delay) only to find out the next day from a very rude surveyor that the door we have choosen were no longer available, they don't do them anymore and I should choose a different one. This is a joke. The management is a joke. They don't have any respect for their customers whatsoever..

Beautiful tiles and great service from…

Beautiful tiles and great service from Tons lf Tiles. We cannot wait to have them fitted in our hallway and stairs! We bought two different patterns from the Metropolis collection- stars and geometric ones. They are both lovely, rustic looking tiles. From ordering those to delivery- everything was spot on.
