Window Replacement
I have just had some windows replaced and my only regret is that I hadn't done it sooner! The whole process was seamless, with minimal disruption and I am very pleased with the overall improvement it has made to the aesthetics of my property in addition to the warmth and security it has given me. John and Johnny, the installers, were very polite, professional and efficient, treating me, and my bricks and mortar, with dignity and respect. I have to extend my thanks to Kim in the office, who coordinated the whole operation, gave me timely updates on the process and checked on my satisfaction on completion. It was so refreshing to have a friendly, named person as a point of reference. I have no hesitation using Pennine for any future improvements and would highly recommend them to others.

The service from Pennine was excellent
Regular communication from the office before and after the fitting. The fitters were friendly and worked hard. The work was carried out in the timescale agreed. Not the cheapest company but good quality windows. An inspection was carried out immediately afterwards and the fitters came back quickly to address one minor issue. I feel confident that if any problems arise I will get a quick and positive response from the company.

Sales and deception
This is a story about really scummy sales tactics in two parts.
Day One
Cold called and offered a quote, my first mistake was saying yes. Later that day the salesman arrived. First came some awful chat, a long demonstration of a sample window, and for unknown reasons a potted history of the company.
Finally, he took some measurements, tapped away on an iPad, and came up with a number. Now I don't know much about windows, but I know they aren't £2,500 each.
Of course this was only the price they'd honour for up to a year. In one of the more shockingly amoral things I've been told recently, he blamed the high price on the ongoing war in Ukraine. Laugh or cry - your choice.
Don't worry though, there was another price for today - a mere £2000 per window.
Just when I thought the fun was over, I was relieved to hear that this bloke "didn't normally do calls like this", and could get me on a "special scheme". Give the fella an Oscar, because his facial reactions while listening to an answering machine were spectacular. Finally we got down to a price of about £1800 per window.
Would I commit immediately? Well no obviously not, at which point the guy pretty much ran back to his car.
Day Two
Wait, I thought these people were done. But no, it's a cold call, and it's from Budget Windows. Who believe it or not trade from the same address as Pennine. Apparently they spoke to me three months ago. Seems unlikely as I didn't live here then, but let's see what you've got this time.
If you guessed overpriced windows then you win today's prize.
Lads - the 80s were nearly fifty years ago now, perhaps drop the absolute scumbag sales "tricks". You could offer me windows for 50 pence a go now and I wouldn't let you on my property.
Edit: Brother, I'm not interested in your help, or getting "to the bottom of my claims". I'm just here to describe my experience so others can draw their own conclusions.

Can't pick windows without my husband?
Had a cold call at my door, guy was very nice, good explanation, was happy to have a call and have someone give a quote. UNTIL ... the call ... apparently I am not able to have someone visit and give a quote without my husband present. They can only visit if both of us our present. Why? I'm not able to choose the colour of the window frames or pick openings without my husband. Rude, unhelpful and weird.

First class service from first contact through to completion! Everyone we dealt with from the sales team, the surveyor, Project Co-ordinator (Jordan) and the fitting team were polite friendly and professional at all times keeping us updated at every stage. The two gentlemen who fitted the windows arrived promptly and were polite and friendly. They were very respectful of our home - they put dust covers down where needed, brought their own bin for rubbish and cleared everything away when finished and closed the doors when they were in / and of the house (without us having to ask!). Jordan contacted us in advance to advise date & time of install and rang on day of install to see how things went and ask if everything okay and then as promised she sent me through the warranty and insurance documents next day as promised. Overall we are really happy with the service from this company and the windows look fabulous. Thank you to all involved.
