Exemplary Customer Service
I’ve recently purchased a petTracer tracker for my beloved cuddly feline. I had a couple of questions so I contacted petTracer and I must say their customer service is exemplary. In a very short time I had received a response with clear instructions on how to solve my problems. I’m very impressed.
The tracker works well and it’s so helpful knowing where puss is and where he’s been! He doesn’t seem bothered by it and the tracker is a good fit. So much better than other devices I’ve used to try and track his movements.
Would definitely recommend.
This tracker is a great product!…
This tracker is a great product with not only GPS but radio tracking for when cats get inside sheds etc...also you can see when they're getting closer to home in real time due to the radio percentage change. But importantly, their help team are quickly responsive and have got me through anxious moments with tech advice I could follow and replaced the old collar that had a rare fault in its batteries. They are lightweight enough for my cat a Norwegian Forest) not to be troubled with it or try to get it off. I also fitted a catflap opener on mine with ease..plus an ID tag and bell with no worries to my cat. These are so much better than the previous cat trackers - and their service team are so helpful.
Great product and customer service .
Great product . Lightweight . Works just as described. Have tracked our cat’s movements and discovered his territory since buying a collar in May this year .
Really impressed with the customer service after our cat managed to lose its collar (after 4 months of constant wear apart from charging ) . Retrieving and tracking it was made much easier with help via their support service . Used the mobile station and radio tracking to find the collar with email help from James including tips and detailed satellite map of the location to search . The collar itself activates a light and sound to help retrieve it when lost .
Reliable and trustworthy company from my experience .
BUYER BEWARE - item not fit for purpose
BUYER BEWARE! Brought this item as looked very neat and website reviews were glowing.
I had to wait over 3 weeks for the product (although warned to be fai4 on website) so very disappointed that Item received was clearly not fit for purpose.
The GPS didn’t work at first and their customer service told me to put on cradle and then was reset ( I assume remotely). Placed item for test in garden as instructed but told I must have wrong type of sky and product may bounce signals off trees and fence which will give an inaccurate location and was registering numerous different locations differing over 20 mtrs apart over minutes, so little use to track a pet or locate the collar if it comes off, but I’m in open ground on a hill and don’t have problem with other GPS devices.
The radio signal is supposed to cover up to 0.5m but lost signal at 200yards. When brought back into the house within a couple if metres of the base station it was registering the device 100mtrs away.
They advertis it has a light and sound. Light flashes under th3 plastic so zero chance of seeing it, and the bleep was so silent you could only hear if placed up to your ear.
The app itself kept going out of sync and complaining about location services and worked only if reloaded the app.
Overall, this product is not fit for purpose and rather than offer to replace (ie may be faulty), they just argued it has inaccuracies.
The kitten insert was just 4 inches of sticky neoprene you can get from B &Q ( draft excluder), not quite the neat quality of the rest of the item. I didn’t try to use it as never got the item to track on first test but doubt it would last 5 minutes.
Now been reading other reviews and wish I had read before as not new news about the failure of the product.
Only positive, the team did try and support quickly on a Sunday and I’ve offered them a chance to rectify if they believe in their product, but last email suggests they accept the issues so not holding out for much more.
Fantastic product - recommended
Fantastic product ! First class customer service...
Both our cats love their collars and adapted to them instantly they are lightweight and unobtrusive, and don't fall off easily.
Great that we can track our cats up to 1km away in open countryside (we have a roof mounted antenna) which gives us reassurance about their whereabouts.
We upgraded to Petracer 2.0 via the upgrade service and the new collars seem to do better on battery and range. The transition went well and the technical support excellent. Recommended !
Gives peace of mind.
I had put off buying a tracker for my cats because I was worried it would be heavy & uncomfortable for them. The design of these is great. They aren't too heavy & the weight is spread around & built into the collar, rather than dangling from the neck.
Neither cat minds wearing them. They don't flinch when they are taken on & off to charge.
Customer service has been good as we swapped to the newer version.
Easy to set-up too.
Artie did get some hairloss at first, but it grew back despite continuing to wear the collar. The only other down side is how addictive it is to chevc whay they are upto on the app :)
My cat already loves the collar
My cat already loves the collar, he is super comfortable in it whether jumping or napping. Much different to the other trackers which are an extra weight to a non-ergonomic collar. He always tried to get those off. Not to mention the GPS+Radio tracking. Thank you again for creating per tracer! Customer service is top notch with fast and helpful replies. Great company and delighted to be their customer.

Having lost our cat for 3 mths we wanted to find a system that would work for us. This system has been absolutley brilliant. Our cat Tilly is only small, so size and weight of unit were important. She wears the collar all the time and it has never bothered her at all. She happily allows us to remove and replace it for charging.
As for the function of the device. We have been amazed by the detail it provides. We have learned so much about her time away from home.
This product has made us feel very comfortable with allowing Tilly to enjoy the freedom of an outside cat. Thank you.
Customer service is top notch
Customer service is top notch, you email them with a query, they respond within 20 mins or so, or sooner.
The tracer does its job really well and I’m able to see where my munchkin is at all times.
The fact it has radio and gps is pure gold, as you know if your cat is stuck in someone’s shed, or sitting on someone else’s sofa, you can still find it.
The tracker will only track up to half a mile on gps, then it will go offline. That’s when you need use radio, you unplug the home station, plug it into a power pack (shame it doesn’t have batteries), connect it via hotspot to your phone internet, and go walkies to look for the little blighter, starting at the last known location of course.
Once your cat comes back within the half mile range, you can look at the map and see where they went and how far they travel. My cat literally ranges for miles!
Downside
It can be expensive if you have a lot of cats. However, if you’ve just one or two, once you’ve bought the collars and the station, it’s around £100 per year subscription which isn’t actually too bad. I’ve got 8 cats, so not really affordable for me to buy 8 of these, although if I was a millionaire I would definitely buy 8 of them! I’ve got one on the go for my naughty boy who likes to wander.
Overall, despite the initial price, you do get what you pay for and it’s a fabulous thing. Highly recommend.
Saved a cat stuck in a tree
We bought 3 tracking collars for our kittens when they were ready to go outside, due to our autistic son being very nervous about them leaving the house. They work well and any problems have been quickly dealt with by support - I have had replies at all hours and on weekends.
One morning I went out to find our most adventurous cat as he hadn't returned as he usually would. Thank goodness for the tracker as I was able to find him on a neighbouring farm stuck high up a tree. I would never have found him without the collar - so thank you Pettracer!
Only slight downsides are I find the app a bit unintuitive and once or twice it has not worked for a short period (blank screen, unable to log in) but these resolved themselves, and compared to being able to rescue a cat, they are small fry!
Great for peace of mind
I have had this tracker for about 6 weeks now. I got it because my rescue cat Olive is very anxious around people, and I was worried that if she got lost, she would not approach anyone to be able to scan her microchip. She has a new lease of life now and loves being outdoors. She also comes home when I send the beeps most of the time, which gets rewarded with treats to reinforce the behaviour. I can relax as well, knowing I can look at the app and see she isn't far away. I mostly just look at it when I want her to come home now.
The customer service was also great, responding and solving an issue within a couple of hours.

Trust advisor didn’t care was really rude and didn’t want to help she’s lucky my dogs chip is already with you or I would of gone elsewhere will definitely be warning new dog owners off this company
James and the team are brilliant!!
James and the team are brilliant, it’s never too much trouble to ask for their help to try to locate our cheeky cat!
I am very grateful for their help, would and have recommended the collar to everyone I know with a cat. I am a worry wart and feel that I don’t need to as much when he is wearing his collar. Thanks again!
Our Pettracer Experience
We have 2 young Siamese cats and 1 of them has been lost for one full day on two separate occasions. After the first event we tried air tags on their collars. This didn't work as the accuracy wasn't great and on the 2nd event we found the collar but no cat. He managed to crawl back late at night with a broken leg. After a large vet bill his leg has mended, but this time we bought a Pettracer collar each. The collars work well and if we want to we can pretty much pin their whereabouts down at any point in time. However, this does depend on the GPS signal, which is not always reliable, although within a reasonable period of time it usually registers. This can be frustrating sometimes. However, the Pettracer collars are a SIGNIFICANT upgrade on the air tags, and we think are as good as possible given the difficulties of tracking a cat! It has also provided us with a heat map of their hunting ground, which has been quite illuminating, so if they do manage to lose the collar we have a good idea of their most recent position. On a couple of occasions, when we felt that they were too close to danger we have been able to go to a spot near where they are and call them over, which has worked and we have been able to bring them home. Both cats seem happy to wear them and they are much more substantial than the previous attempt to use air tags. So, not perfect but better than anything else we have found. Also, I do have to compliment the team at Pettracer, and in particular Zoe. When we have needed to raise questions a response to our emails have usually been instantaneous, and always helpful.
Two collar failures in the first week and the homestation won't hotspot. This is unacceptable
We've had the system a week, two collars have fallen off our cats, one on a neighbour's patio, so the 'safety buckle' clearly isn't robust enough to cope even with device self-weight. The other cannot be found seeing as the homestation refuses to hotspot off any of the mobile phones in the house. We've taken the third collar off and replaced it with the previous system because we simply cannot trust PetTracer to provide anything that resembles the claims made on the website. This is over six hundred pounds of expenditure to place our cats at greater risk than the previous system which was *Airtags*.
The LEDs are necessarily weak as they are shining through the elastomer encapsulation of the collar and naturally sit underneath the ca's throat, and the alarms can barely be heard standing in the same room. I don't know if this is second-source issue from having to race to resupply inventory given the demand, but none of these problems should ever have escaped QA inspection prior to sale.
I'd already communicated with the company support email address on the day of receipt because we couldn't get at least one collar alarm to sound via the phone application, despite the application claiming it was sounding. Customer service claimed they could activate the alarm remotely but they did not sound. This was reiterated when contacting them about the lost collar and the inability to get a consistent signal via RF for it.
I simply cannot trust the product.

I have a rather adventurous (and…
I have a rather adventurous (and occasionally naughty!) cat who loved to roam, especially before he was neutered. I honestly can’t imagine letting him out now without his PetTracer tracker on.
The collar is lightweight, comfortable for him to wear, and has a safety buckle — which gives me peace of mind. Even when he’s lost the collar during a scuffle with another cat, we’ve always been able to find it thanks to the tracking feature.
I often see posts from people desperately searching for their missing cats, and I truly think more owners should consider using PetTracer. It’s made a huge difference for us.
Peace of mind for our very special, but poorly moggy
We had our Pettracer for nearly a year to track our dear cat Sybil who had many health conditions. The peace of mind it gave us, knowing exactly where she was, was just wonderful. Especially as we'd previously had the sad experience of having another much younger cat who had a very sudden stroke.
The pettracer device is fab, not too heavy to wear and their customer service is just brilliant. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to any caring cat owner.
Researched many tracking collars, PetTracer is the best
I researched many tracking collars available in Canada before I chose PetTracer and I'm glad I chose this one. I didn't give 5 stars only because the collar is a bit pricey in Canadian $$. But, the product and service are excellent! The support staff are very helpful, I've dealt with Zoe and Anna, both were great. I do wish there was a phone support option, but they are quite prompt at responding to email requests for help, even though I'm in a different time zone. A few days ago my cat came home without her collar. I was able to make the home station mobile by plugging it into a power bank so I could take it into the forest. The radio function enabled me to get a signal in the woods and activate the beeper to find the collar in the heavy brush. I don't think I would have found the collar with GPS only, as it was not visible. I am now confident we could find our cat if she gets lost on a crazy adventure in the forest. :)
We’re absolutely thrilled with our PetTracer!
We’re absolutely thrilled with our PetTracer!
After only one week of use, we finally know the full extent (at least we think so 😼) of Boris’s kingdom—and wow, it’s huge! Our little adventurer has been crossing forests and fields, pausing by the lake, and exploring all our neighbours’ gardens while they sleep. Seeing his routes plotted so clearly in the app has been a real eye‑opener and it’s quite hilarious to see his crisscrossing tracks and patterns. We knew he liked to wander but not that far!
Setup was painless, the collar synced with the app within minutes, the GPS locked on quickly, and the battery runtime is impressive compared to other trackers we tried. The collar itself is light and low‑profile and Boris accepted it right away and hasn’t tried to wriggle out of it once.
The built‑in heat map shows his favorite hotspots. Should he ever linger beyond range, we can simply move the home station to where he roams most and search for him. That peace of mind is priceless!
For anyone with a curious free‑roaming cat, we can’t recommend PetTracer highly enough!
MISSING CAT in London
I am very sad to have to write this.
My cat has the PetTracer collar on, it’s fully charged but I cannot find my cat!
GPS NOT WORKING and the collar is fully charged.
I had been using TRACTIVE for 5 years which worked brilliantly BUT it was a bit heavy. So I found PetTracer which looked so much more comfortable.. so I bought it. And it was much lighter..
💨💨💨💨 BUT..
IT JUST DOESNT WORK!
The GPS is constantly going off so I’m unable to use live mode.
My cat needs regular medication and I really need to find him… and I can’t.
I’ve written to support as I need help asap. They send me “how to” videos.
Not helpfull!
Just to be clear.. the GPS of TRACTIVE worked really really well. Same area all around my house.. I could even see where he was in London when I was in NYC!
And If the battery was charged in TRACTIVE collar, I could always find my cat…
NOT so with this APP. The app says it’s fully charged.. I have tried everything.
The other night I was outside with my cat standing in the middle of the street, ON MY PHONE, app open and there was no GPS. I was a block away from home with the Home station sitting on a window ledge. That’s not acceptable.
If and when my cat comes home I will be taking off the PetTracer collar and putting back on the TRACTIVE.
