Risky, no protection, no care
Customer service barely exists for this platform. If an owner of a vehicle decides to keep the deposit, there is not much you can do about it.
Don't trust the reviews on the Yescapa website! They rejected my negative review of the rental. Easy to have great reviews when you don't publish negative ones!
We paid 2000EUR cash deposit and something broke off the side of the van whilst driving. Not our fault. Owner's fault. Old van with weathered parts. Forced us to pay.
Their mandatory 'insurance' fee is nonsense. It won't cover you.
Owner refused to return anything and kept the whole 2000EUR deposit. Luckily he sent a bank transfer for a partial refund, after we had returned to our home country.
This platform do not care. The website is buggy. Their phone number does not work, there is just a message telling you to email them. There is not even a proper web page for customer service or disputes. The app simply copies your enquiry to your email app, so you have to email them.
If you are lucky enough to get some kind of reply from Yescapa, expect them to side with the owner and take no action.
Pay the extra few euros for a proper van rental! This platform is too risky and they don't deserve your money.
