The cleaner is great

The cleaner is great, does what was expected. However the charging cable was not a new one (we wondered if the whole product had been a 'return'). It would not charge the spare battery when not actually connected to the cleaner. We didn't know if it was the cable or the battery at fault. Maybe a new cable would help?

Just bought a Ryelo moon pod vacuum

Just bought a Ryelo moon pod vacuum. They send me a VC205 instead by mistake. I want a complete replacement they instead offering to replace just the stick.
After some amicable conversations we agreed for a return with refund.

Got refunded, thank you. And I am in the process of reordering the Ryelo Moonpod from them hoping to get the right item this time. Thank you.

The model number for the Ryelo Moonpod is VC205, so whilst the item itself is technically correct, I do completely appreciate that you'd prefer to have the item with the relevant branding, and with the flexible tube, exactly as ordered. It was an error on our end, and I sincerely apologise.

We offered to send the flexible tube by itself because it's the fastest way for us to complete your order. It also means you'd have a telescopic tube for free.

Promises were kept.

Excellent customer service in resolving a fault

Fantastic company to deal with. I purchased a new hoover for my elderly Mum but unfortunately it developed a fault. The email provided for the managing…

The email provided for the managing director on this site for problems previously did not work. I am apparently not allowed to tell you what this email is, because Trustpilot does not want any emails in their reviews. if you look at a negative review on Trustpilot dated on 28 March 2024, and tech shack’s reply, techshack does however publicise this email.

When I pointed this out, Trustpilot noted “ We do understand that the email address was found in a reply to another review, but we can still deem that the email address is contravening our guidelines since the business didn't include the personal information in their reply to your review, the company's website, or the description of their profile page on Trustpilot.”

The firm Techshack sold Chinese goods that don’t always work, like Litrobots robo-vacuums. They knew the Litrobots robots were problematic, people had been defrauded, and they continued to sell them for some time afterwards. They were defensive about their decision in an email exchange. Interestingly, the Litrobots UK website was taken down because of increasing consumer complaints, and tech shack is trying to distance themselves from their actions. I have reported them to Trading Standards.

Trustpilot left this review up because it is simply true. I have seen the defensive reply below. They are actively working to have legitimate consumer warnings removed from public view, preventing other consumers from making informed decisions. They also are implying that criticism of their business indicates the complainant is not medically well and then are condescending. It may give you an indication of how you might be treated as a customer.

TechShack states in their 28 September reply:
“We categorically deny the allegations you have made, and we are currently seeking legal advice regarding the defamatory nature of your repeated reviews.”
This is an attempt to intimidate a consumer from posting legitimate warnings about their business practices.
While I may not have personally purchased from them (I purchased from the manufacturer directly), I have:
• Direct experience with the product they sell
• A CCJ against the manufacturer for consumer law violations
• Legitimate knowledge of the product’s defects
• Provided them with a good-faith warning about the products they’re selling

Best online sales support team...ever !

Nobody says much when an online sale goes smoothly, but they are quick to comment when there's a problem
I had one or two complications with my order. The customer support team are outstanding !
My issues were resolved rapidly and with great comms.
I have never had better online purchase support. This team are the gold standard and other online retailers should study them to try and be as good.

Alls well that ends well! Fake goods delivered premium price paid

Case update,
After posting my original review, see below, I have been in contact with Monica from TechShack, she has provided very good service, refunded the original payment, investigated and reported back to me their findings, which we clear and they have taken decisive action over that particular supplier. Monica has also provided a goodwill discount towards any further purchases from them. Based on the customer service received they certainly have earned a second chance!
"So, i ordered and paid for a particular set of ear buds, they weren’t cheap, and this company were just slightly cheaper than going via the brands website, cheap enough to not set alarm bells ringing ie £10 cheaper than the brand website, however what arrived was not what I ordered, not a ‘knockoff’ as the box was not the brands and the functionality despite being labelled as noise cancelling, they totally weren’t, looked the same as genuine ones however the functionality is certainly not! Called customer service, sent images and was told that a full refund would be forthcoming, lets wait and see! In summary, product delivered was an Ali express/Temu cheap quality not the premium product and price i paid, customer service agent was good which is the only positive…..
