Watch if you're outside the US when ordering. I just got a bill from Fedex for another $58 in shipping/duties. Nothing about that on your site. Never order again and will not recommend you! As of this review you have a 1.5 star review with 84% giving a 1 star review so it's obvious most are dissatisfied with you. Don't respond with "sorry contact us privately on our email". Just do better!

I worked here and they denied me my bonus that I worked hard for saying I only needed to meet a sales goal, which was met. So don’t ever work for this company they pick and choose who they want to screw and it was me.

I ordered the harry and Lloyd costumes for Halloween. I ordered the costumes on October 16th and it had an estimated delivery date of October 22nd. I got the shipment notification with the tracking number on October 17th. On October 25th I still had not received. Called October 27th and the delivery date got pushed to October 31st and customer service said this was still within their 11 day shipping guarantee and if I did not receive it to call. The tracking was still sitting as “data received” at the original location. November 1st I called because I did not receive the package and the tracking is still saying “data received” at the original location, it hasn’t moved. I requested a refund and Customer service said that there was nothing the can do because it is in transit and is probably held up at customs and if I do receive it to refuse the package and I could get returned that way. It has now been 24 days since it was “shipped” and it is still staying “data received” this doesnt even mean the carrier has received the package. I want a return because it is clear I am not getting this package. Customer service is not much help because they say it is in transit. I have bought all my kids costumes from Spirit Halloween stores but if this is their customer service and guarantee I will never purchase from them again.

I have tried 3 yrs in a row. I received a coupon in the mail and was informed it couldn't be used at the location. (It said nothing on the coupon about a certain location). Last year I was told again that coupons are only good in the month of September. This year they had advertised on the door and at the entrance of getting line to pay that if you enter your email to win you would get 20% off the item. I registered and did it and was told that that offer is not being honored any more and they didn't know why. There wasn't any expiration date labeled on anything. These are 3 different locations in 3 years. If you are purchasing what you see with nothing added you have come to the right store. The workers have not been helpful and have been completely indifferent. I have been trying to support the work in my local towns but I will have to return to AMAZON. The quality is the same and at a lower price. I have emailed and tried to call in years past but this year I was done and I am leaving a negative review.

We ordered a jumping spider online and it was defective. They refused online to give my husband a refund due to the fact it was from the states and we are in Canada! My husband went to the store and it wouldn’t let us refund form there either! However they took the spider! We had to pay shipping and conversion charges so now we are out $127!! I tried to talked to someone online tonight and they said I had to show a video of the spider even though I told him the store took it and now the store is closed so therefore won’t get my money back!! Even though I have receipts and proof I paid for this spider! Now we have no defective spider and no money back! This store is a rip off and I will never ever shop there again!!! They should have refunded us when we called the first time as they gave us a defective product!!!!
After this review is when I got contacted by Spirit Halloween and received some of my money back! So instead short $127 I was short $44 but I appreciate the effort and wish I didn’t have to make a review on the internet for this to happen when we tried from the very beginning to let them know spider was defective.

I ordered a costume on 10/22. I paid for expedited shipping to be delivered by 10/26.. It did not arrive until 10/30, 4 days after it was supposed to for expedited shipping. I also can't return it because the return window was closed before it even arrived. Customer service was terrible. No refund, as their return window has already closed. BEFORE my order was even shipped out. Amazing.

This place has horrible products and no customer service whatsoever!! I bought an electric pumpkin carving tool that never worked and when I brought it back, they refused to exchange or return it. I just wasted $10 for nothing. Never coming back!!

We placed an order and due to using an existing account there was no way to verify the address prior to placing the order. Spirit Halloween has no customer service contacts (we tried calling and email) no way to correct an error in the order and a no return policy after the end of October even for items ordered for the next year after Halloween. I would never order from them again. There is no method to correct errors and no flexibility if there is a product that is defective.

So evidently after Oct 24th the stores do not refund for any reason. My son needed a wig and beard so he could be a book character for school. I paid nearly $30 for it on Oct 30th at 9pm. 7am the next morning as my son was getting ready for his school day we opened the package and it was missing the beard. This completely ruined the costume look and he was a broken hearted 11 year old. I was told in the store that someone must have stolen the beard and the best they could do is exchange for a complete set. It was too late as my son didn't dress the part that morning 😒. They let people try stuff on and that is what happens. If the rule is no return then the person that rings customers up should be required to open it all up and show paying customer at point of sale that everything is there as it should be.When I reached out to corporate I was basically told we should have opened it before we left to make sure it was all there. Who would have felt the need to do that? This place is an overpriced JOKE!
And if corporate would ACTUALLY read that I HAVE ALREADY CONTACTED THEM AND THEY WERE ZERO HELP THAT WOULD BE GREAT INSTEAD OF A GENERIC REPLY SMH

Bought an inflatable costume for $60. No refunds were allowed and I was a bit skeptical. I put it on and it worked fine. 5 minutes later the inflater air conditioner fell out of the costume. No returns were allowed, so there goes $60.

I drove 17 minutes to the Spirit H. near me (ft worth, TX) and they were completely OUT of MASKS literally walked the entire store multiple times along with other people looking. No Micheal Myers no Freddie no purge no anything. They did however have a huge selection of printed blankets. Spirit Halloween literally has one job and that’s to provide Halloween costume materials. STOCK YOUR STORES PLZ

I tried to return a damaged item and was denied. Call help desk and stood in the store for 2 hours while they tried to figure out who gave the ok for a refund just to be told no. Customer service from manager was apauling! I will never go back!

Awful customer service, horrible return policy, and rude associates. I purchased costumes for my children, and asked the associate before paying if items were returnable. She stated they were able to be exchanged. Brought items back within 1 week because my kids chose different costumes and I was refused refund or exchange. Sales associate was inflexible, stated items were no longer able to be exchanged after a certain date. I asked for a manager. She stated there was not a manager on duty. Another sales associate reinforced the no-exchange or refund policy. I told her I was told it could be exchanged and she said she “didn’t know who told me that”. After not getting any help from the associates, I called customer service. Was left on hold for 15 minutes. Never talked to a representative. Left a message. Have not received a return phone call.

I ordered a costume for my grandchild and was shipped paid the expedited fee . Didn’t come on time and mostly due to the post office I will give them that . However when I called customer service after waiting for over 20 minutes to explain what’s happened the lady was very rude , very impatient and basically roughly told me to take it up with the post office . I think customer service agents have to be a certain type of person - with patience , not rough and not harsh . Take it up with them mam . Ok ? Byeeeee . Yeah . Never again . One time deal

Purchased a Fortnite Costume on Sept 14th, 2024. Did not open costume until a couple weeks later. The helmet did not work. I emailed customer service about the problem. First I was asked to send a video, I complied. Then they another video and photos, I complied. Then they asked if I had installed the batteries properly. The battery pack could not even open. After several exchanges I said that it was silly going back and forth, and that if I could send the costume back, they could
see it was broken. They refused to give back the money and sent me a new costume instead. Terrible customer service. The correspondence went from Oct 12- Oct 18, 2024.
