Could someone from Hermes contact me…

Could someone from Hermes contact me please. I can’t find any way of contacting anyone at Hermes.
I had a card through the door this morning saying a parcel has been left at the back gate. It was put through without ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door.. I was in the whole time. The parcel is not there and all I have is an 8 digit code. When I go through your automated system I cannot make out the name of the retailer for me to contact them and find out what it was.

Unbelievable!

Ordered a sofa in January.. and told 6 weeks. In March (Well over the 6 weeks) was told there was a delay, blaming COVID. In April was told it was in the warehouse but couldn’t deliver as it was a two man job and couldn’t place two man in the same truck due to COVID. This morning I watched one man carry the small lightweight sofa in to my house followed by a second man carrying a little box of the four 6inch legs. I start to ask myself if it really justified a 6 month wait. On inspection there is a chip out of one of the legs and an industrial staple sticking out of the front of the sofa. Just rang Next to sort it out and after being passed to the third set of recorded messages... the message says they are too busy and to ring back later... Goodbye.

Don’t trust them with anything valuable

Delivered to the wrong address but somehow managed to claim it was someone with my name who signed for it.

Had to go back via the seller to rearrange the delivery.

Explained to both the seller and dpd that I am unable to say when this person (whom I don’t know) will be in for collection. Suggested either or both a collection is made in the evening when people more likely home or leave a calling card exposing the error and ask them to make contact to arrange the collection.

No.. instead ‘I’ simply get told by text when dpd will be attending at this other address to collect the parcel, followed by another telling me ‘I’ wasn’t at this other address when they called to collect.

I tried.

Be careful re descriptions, not consistent across the ranges.

Sent the wrong item. Queried it and was told I’d ordered the wrong item.
Now very confused as I have purchased a number of items from them over the last year. I thought ‘deep shine croc’ related to the larger crocodile type print, consisten with previous orders. However, it seems with this particular product ‘deep shine croc’ in fact is the smaller lizard type print.

No care and attention. I guess to big to care.

Delivered parcel to wrong address and tracking showed signed for by someone with my name! Complete lack of attention by driver.

Contacted them and just ignored the issue saying I need to sort redelivery with sender.

poor customer service

Amended my address on their website and ordered items. Only discovered today that details didn’t save and items sent to my old address. Delivery company need to collect items and redeliver. I explained I go away Friday morning (it is Tuesday night now) and suggested it may not happen in time. Suggested they resend the order to the correct address and get the original items returned. Simple? No they don’t do that. No means I need to go out and buy the same items elsewhere just in case.

Accepted my order and money. Website said delivery 3-5 days. Contacted me to say would be 4-6 weeks. Said okay but heard nothing back to confirm if They have actually ordered it despite 3 emails.

Should have read the reviews first!

Buyer beware

Having advertised a product they don’t stock and cannot get hold of they offered another more expensive product for the same price. The alternative product, prc direct have advertised at £147.99. John Lewis have the same product at £115.
Now not getting a response so struggling to get my money back.

Beware... likely not to be in stock but don’t tell you.

Good price but no stock. Having heard nothing for a week since making the order I queried when delivery might occur. Response, in poorly worded email, was that they were in fact out of stock. They should have highlighted that on the website or at time of order so I could have gone elsewhere. No trying to get money back.

Not good for landlords

When I took out my 3 policies I was told I could provide tenant details and yourrepair will contact them to arrange gas safety certificates etc.
Having gone to the trouble of ringing to update tenant contact details as requested, I am now being asked to sort the appointments myself.
It seems yourrepair are as inefficient as the other providers.

Hi Darren,

I'd like to apologise for any miscommunications that you may be experiencing.

I have just checked the system and can see that the Gas Safety Certificate that you have previously stated is due on the 7th January has now been dispatched to an engineer. I have spoken to the allocated engineer and they have confirmed that they have tried contacting your tenant for the property but the line was engaged and will keep trying to contact them over the course of today.

Please rest assured that we are actively trying to get this booked in. I would recommend if you require any updates on these appointments or have any further queries that you contact us on 0330 223 4422 and a member of the team will be able to assist you.

Easy to set up... difficult thereafter.

Well, following my last review.
Waited a month to go back on line to set up tenant details/contact numbers/boiler details/gas safety due dates for three properties. One property is due by 7th Jan but earliest available date was 13th Jan!
Not to worry I thought as your repair offered for me to contact them by phone and they would update the details. So, assuming they could override a computer it wouldn’t be a problem.
After a very frustrating 22 minute phone call I was told I had to give 28 days notice so 13th Jan was earliest.
Had this been explained at the outset I could easily have done the sums and identified the initial wait to input details Plus 28 days notice period would mean I could never have achieved the 7th Jan deadline.
I moved to yourrepair from 24/7 and Homeserve due to poor service.... I think I’ve made a mistake.

Hi Darren,

I'm sorry to hear that you have found difficulty in booking your Gas Safety Certificates. The minimum 28 day notice procedure for this is a guideline we have in place to allow enough time to ensure we can successfully arrange for an engineer in your area to find time to book this in on or before the due date to ensure you have this completed in time.

I can confirm that I have arranged for a claims handler to contact you today to discuss which of your properties is due on the 7th January and to ensure that this is booked in with an engineer for on or before that date.

Review of Chrono24

With a little tweaking this could be a great site.

A great site for locating watches, and reasonable prices can be found. The option of ‘suggest price’ is a little clunky. I have found on a couple of occasions that I send a suggestion and get no response from the seller. This essentially blocks you out, and has prevented me from actually buying a watch at the advertised price. It would be better if the offer lapsed after 24 hours.
I think the 6% commission is a little steep and perhaps pushing more private sellers to eBay high offers a little more flexibility on price with lower seller fees. Having tried to purchase a Rolex Explorer 1 214270 on Chrono24 and had no response from a price suggestion I subsequently found one on eBay at a good price. Finally, being in Europe I find phone calls to Chrono24 expensive. Their response to emails are slow. All that said, I bought a 2004 a Rolex Explorer 114270 from a seller in Paris on Chrono24 recently and found their communication and delivery quick and efficient.

If you want a straight forward experience.. go elsewhere.

I don’t know if it’s just me!
Despite my last review, I thought it must be a one off and can’t be that bad given the reviews Chronext get (or pay for?).
I emailed them yesterday with request for a fresh part exchange. Heard nothing back (no surprise).
Was called today by Chronext and thought it was in response to my email yesterday. Instead they wanted to find out if I was still going ahead with the previous deal!!!!
Explained I wasn’t but had emailed them yesterday enquiring about a fresh deal against the same watch. Chap didn’t know anything about it.

Be careful. level of cover in Select policy is misleading.

Feel misled in taking out their Select policy. No explanation that there would any additional charges, let alone excessive charges as I expanded a collection. Was led to believe I had a ceiling amount and provided total remained under this I was covered.
Direct Line having nothing of it.

Poor communication and dubious operating practices.

After agreeing a reasonable part ex deal, the problems began.
Was sent a request for payment for the full price of the watch I was part exing against. I emailed them to explain it was part ex deal and didn’t think I should be paying the full price, rather the difference. Never heard anything back.
Then received shipping labels... 5 different labels in total with confusing instructions as to what goes where, including instruction to place some in a shipping pouch. Emailed them to query what a shipping pouch was, and what/where these labels should go on the package. After an exchange of poorly translated and confusing emails and an attempt at google translate from the German instructions I gave up.
Emailed Chronext to explain I was not prepared to leave my £4350 watch to chance with their courier/wrong labelling, and the fact I had no response to my query re the part ex payment request. I had no response.
The next day a courier arrived and sent away, and the day after that I had an email from Chronext asking to make new arrangements for courier to collect. No acknowledgement of the previous emails/queries made.

Calling time on John Lewis.

Just had a call from John Lewis customer services re my Le Creuset rusting pans. Very underwhelmed. Delay in response was because someone was on holiday.. I get that, no issues... and...
Yes there is no longer that ‘John Lewis’ special customer treatment when there is a problem. Basically, the same as any on line store, no better.
Described how much we have spent in John Lewis over recent years (10s of thousands) but it meant absolutely nothing. I guess they have too many wealthy customers to make our purchases to be of note.
Concluded... I take my rusty pans back to Le Creuset and they will sort it out.
No one cares any more. I will not be walking through their doors (or Waitrose where we do our shopping) again.
Trouble is... where can one go these days where customer loyalty is valued?

Easy to set up, less straight forward afterwards

Added 3 properties with different start dates and gas safety check renewal dates. Easy to set up on the phone but now have to wait to input the gas safety check dates. Would have been really convenient to have been able to enter straight away which takes away the risk of forgetting to log back in in a month to enter them.

Hi Darren,

Thank you for joining us at YourRepair and for taking the time to leave your feedback.

In regards to Gas Safety due dates, whilst we do have the function for policy holders to use their online portal to enter these dates, along with other profile details at a later date should you not have the right details on hand at the time of sign up, we would be more than happy to enter those details in for you over the phone if you have them available and ask us to do so.

If you have those details and would like them entered in for you, please contact us on 0330 223 4422 and one of our customer service handlers will be happy to update your profile for you.

No longer offer that special John Lewis experience

Rang to complain about the response to my last post as Le Creuset are adamant their stainless steel pans shouldn’t rust, and I’m unimpressed with the incineration by John Lewis that I don’t wash my pans. Was told someone would call me back between 4 and 8pm that night. They never did.
