Appalling service. Waited 6 weeks to be sent the wrong window. All you get are automated responses that don’t resolve the problem. The routine response is they tried to contact you, case closed, start again. Instead of collecting and sending the correct window it’s treated as if it were a standard return and refund. No offer to correct the situation and send the correct window. So if I ever get my refund having already had the wrong window collected I am back where I started 2 months ago and have to reorder.
Wrong order placed
Myself and husband went into store and ordered a bespoke size external door to open both sides and 2 windows. We found an employer that spoke good English and we told him all our requirements. Printed off the paper work and I checked measurements etc but what I didn’t check was the description as I don’t understand written Spanish or speak very much at present. I signed as I saw all the measurements were correct. When I received the order he in fact ordered us a balcony door which only opens from one side ! We went straight to the store to try and resolve the problem. I spoke with someone who understood me and they said they would rectify for free as it was their mistake. Anyway after they put everything through with the new correct details their supervisor said no I’d have to pay again. We’re not talking a couple of hundred we’re talking nearly 900 euros. This is after I was told they would do it for free. The young gentleman who served me was so apologetic saying he thought it was unfair I had to pay again. I’ve actually spent 1000’s of euros in this store renovating my villa and for the supervisor to just say NO has really upset me. She didn’t even give any solution to how we could maybe adapt it for any help what so ever. I just feel it’s such bad customer service. On the other hand the young chap has been trying to help but without success. So I am now left with a balcony door so we can only exit from the inside and can’t get back in. Leroy have lost a very good returning customer.

I had two fitted wardrobes fitted by Leroy Merlin, La Zenia. They were guaranteed for three years. One of the wardrobes started to fall apart. I went into Leroy Merlin to report this and they said a fitter would come to have a look at the wardrobe then do the alterations to make it perfect.
I received an email from the intallers who said the installation wasn't part of the guarantee which is ridiculous.
I won't go back to Leroy Merlin for anything else as I feel they couldn't be bothered to rectify the bad installation.
Good shops, terrible customer service
Generally the shops are great to find what you need, but the number of times I have ordered something online and one or more parts are either damaged or missing is completely unacceptable for such a big company.
For example, at the moment I am waiting to install a kitchen that I recently bought, but it did not contain the door hinges or wall brackets (which the product states are included). I reported this 3 weeks ago and have heard nothing, this gives an idea of how useless their customer service is.

Terrible Experience – Do Not Buy from Leroy Merlin / Direct Comfort/Viggen Komfort
I purchased a mattress from Leroy Merlin (Direct Comfort/Viggen Komfort brand) and it has been one of the worst buying experiences I’ve ever had. The mattress itself is unbelievably hard and extremely uncomfortable. When I tried to return it under their so-called 30-day return policy, I quickly learned that this “policy” is misleading.
To return the mattress, I was told I needed to send an email, fill out forms, and then pay for the shipping myself. On top of that, I was expected to somehow repackage the mattress—something that is practically impossible once it has expanded out of the original box. The shipping cost alone would be about the same price as the mattress, making the return policy completely useless.
This is not real customer service. They do not stand by their products or their promises, and they make it nearly impossible to exercise the return policy they advertise. I am now stuck with a terrible mattress and no real options.
Save yourself the headache and avoid buying from Leroy Merlin or Direct Comfort/Viggen Komfort.
Disgraceful delivery experience
I bought two sun loungers for my elderly mother's home in Villamartin, Orihuela, and while the products themselves are absolutely fine, the cost and execution of delivery was woefully subpar.
A €55 delivery charge was applied, despite my mother's house being only two miles away, and I've just found out that the delivery men would not carry the loungers to her solarium for her. The solarium is only one set of stairs above her bungalow, and instead, they left the loungers in her front garden.
To put this in context, my mother is 80 years old, 5'2", and quite frail… she has absolutely no chance of moving the loungers on her own and for me, this would have been a twenty second piece of help that would have avoided a bad review. Whether in the T&Cs or not, it would have been the right thing to do.
She had asked them if they would move the loungers for her and was flatly told no. This is a terrible service that puts LM in an extremely bad light and will absolutely make me think twice about using them again.

joder! i hate leroy merlin Bahia de Cadiz, and their website. I am not allowed to review half the things ive bought. And i just bought an expensive ceiling fan... it has serious design flaws, and needed lots of repairs. their website is a joke. their store is a joke. its been badly run for decades. why, oh why, hasnt the rubbish management been replaced ?! (the jerez branch is worlds apart!)
SO GLAD WE TRUSTED LEROY MERLIN TORREVIEJA
We trusted Leroy Merlin with our bathroom project and we are so glad we did! This was a complete renovation including the removal of all tiling and sanitary wear. Our planner was so patient, inspirational and knowledgeable, she listened to us and designed an absolutely fabulous bathroom for us. We are truly grateful to her. The project manager was attentive and efficient, we couldn't have done it without him. Everything we needed for the project arrived on time with no hitches. The team of fitters were incredible, they started and completed the job within the agreed time frame. We can truly say they are skilled craftsmen, they produced first class workmanship covering plumbing, electrics, new ceiling and lighting, tiling, new WC, sink and basin, shower, shower screen and tray and all the accessories. Our home was left beautifully clean. Their attention to detail was outstanding, the team even went to the trouble of fitting the toilet roll holder with a toilet roll and a towel to the towel rail, beautiful finishing touches. We now have the bathroom of our dreams and as a result, we will be trusting Leroy Merlin with our whole house renovations. A big thank you to everyone involved.
Not reliable
The prices for instalations and never the correct price, and when someone is booked to come make measurements for installations they never call to confirm the time of the appointment or call at all. When I contacted the customer service centre, they apologise but don't do anything to help in any way. Such a shame as it used to be a good company
GOODS ORDERED ONLINE NOT DELIVERED
Goods ordered online have not been delivered on the date i was given. No contact at all from Leroy Merlin or their couriers . I should not really be surprised i suppose because i have ordered items online from them before and on each occasion there were problems with delivery .
Useless app
Online shopping and the app, are useless. It wants you to register your NIE or passport number, yet won't accept the details entered.
Can you imagine how many sales they lose, by underinvesting in these crucial functions? Not good.

IT'S THURSDAY AND SINCE LAST WEDNESDAY, WHEN I RETURNED THIS FAULTY AIPER ROBOT, I STILL HAVEN’T RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE. I CAME FOR A TWO-WEEK HOLIDAY AND HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF BUYING A ROBOT THAT DOESN’T WORK FROM A LEROY MERLIN THAT DECEIVES ITS CUSTOMERS.
I’m shocked to see a big sign at the returns counter that says:

That’s a blatant lie and a disgrace — this is deceiving the customer.

This company is often ok but when their service goes wrong they tend to ignore complaints and annoy their customers. I admit to having bought mirror sliding wardrobe doors from the Ondara store in May this year, that were too big, as my builders changed the floor level slightly, but I had bought more than 5000 euros of other items so arranged for a return. The return service took until July 3 to take the doors away and to date no refund. I have thought better of returning other items due to the complete inability of their Customer Service people to respond to my emails written in both English and admittedly non grammatical Spanish.
I think that staff at this store and within the Customer Services department need reminding that customers are a necessary evil and complaints will happen and that a prompt and efficient returns service will in fact increase your customer base and will become a marketing advantage.

Una de las peores experiencias con un comercio – Eviten Leroy Merlin Torrevieja a toda costa
Tuvimos una experiencia verdaderamente lamentable en Leroy Merlin Torrevieja y nos sentimos obligados a advertir a otros consumidores.
Después de comprar una bomba para spa defectuosa desde el primer día, seguimos el procedimiento correcto y contactamos con el fabricante, quien nos indicó que debíamos devolverla a la tienda para su reemplazo. No fue algo sencillo: nos encontrábamos en una segunda residencia y tuvimos que hacer un viaje de 120 minutos (ida y vuelta) para solucionarlo.
Una vez en la tienda, la situación fue aún peor. El encargado, que se negó a dar su nombre (aunque en su tarjeta de identificación figuraba como "Fran"), fue descortés, nada colaborador y totalmente reacio a ayudar. No solo se negó a reemplazar el producto defectuoso, sino que además nos vio cargar el artículo pesado sin ofrecernos la menor ayuda. Este nivel de atención al cliente no solo es decepcionante, es inaceptable.
Lo más frustrante es que, según la Ley General para la Defensa de los Consumidores y Usuarios (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007, de 16 de noviembre), así como la legislación europea en materia de consumo, tenemos derecho a un reemplazo o reembolso cuando un producto es defectuoso desde el inicio o no cumple con los estándares de calidad. Esta ley protege al consumidor hasta dos años, especialmente si el defecto se comunica de forma inmediata.
Leroy Merlin Torrevieja ignoró por completo estas obligaciones legales. Como resultado, hemos contactado con nuestro banco para abrir una reclamación bajo el artículo 75 (si se utilizó una tarjeta de crédito del Reino Unido) y hemos iniciado una reclamación por incumplimiento de los derechos del consumidor europeo.
Leroy Merlin puede ser una gran cadena, pero esta tienda demuestra un total desprecio por el cliente y por las leyes que lo protegen. Si usted es propietario de una vivienda vacacional o turista, tenga cuidado: no están dispuestos a ayudar, y su personal es grosero y evasivo cuando surge un problema.
Jamás volveremos a comprar en Leroy Merlin y recomendamos encarecidamente evitar esta tienda si valoran su tiempo, su dinero y un trato digno como consumidor.
One of the Worst Retail Experiences – Avoid Leroy Merlin Torrevieja at All Costs
We had a truly appalling experience at Leroy Merlin Torrevieja and feel compelled to warn others.
After purchasing a spa pump that turned out to be faulty on the very day it was opened, we followed the correct process and contacted the manufacturer, who advised us to return it to the store for a replacement. This wasn’t a simple task—we were staying at a holiday home and had to make a 120-minute round trip to deal with this.
Once at the store, the situation went from bad to worse. The manager on duty—who refused to give his name (despite it being clearly displayed on his ID badge as “Fran”)—was dismissive, unhelpful, and utterly unwilling to assist. Not only did he refuse to resolve the issue or replace the faulty product, but he stood by and watched as we struggled to carry the heavy item in and out of the store without offering any assistance. This level of customer service was not just disappointing—it was outright disgraceful.
What’s even more frustrating is that under Spanish Consumer Law (Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007, de 16 de noviembre) and European Consumer Law, we were fully entitled to a replacement or refund for goods that are faulty upon delivery or fail to meet quality standards. The law specifically protects consumers within 14 days (and up to 2 years) for faulty goods, especially when reported immediately.
Leroy Merlin Torrevieja ignored these legal obligations entirely. As a result, we have now opened a dispute with our bank under Section 75 (if using a UK credit card) and filed a complaint for breach of EU consumer rights.
Leroy Merlin may be a big name, but this branch clearly does not care about customer service or consumer rights. If you're a holiday homeowner or a tourist, be warned: they are not willing to help, and their staff are rude and evasive when things go wrong.
We will never shop at Leroy Merlin again and strongly advise others to avoid this store if you value your time, your money, and basic human decency.

Should you be unlucky enough to have an issue with your delivered product, such as bearing no resemblance to the pictures on their website, you will be told to deal with their third party sellers!
They mimic the Amazon Model of using third part sellers but they distance themselves totally from the sale, even though it is Leroy Merlin you pay!
Their customer service is non-existant and certaintly nothing like Amazons.
They continuously send you pre-written diatribes which have absolutely no meaning or common sense.
I also contacted their third part seller who unbelievably sent me an email telling me that I should not mix goods from them with goods purchased directly from Leroy Merlin. So they are telling me that the tap I purchased from Merlin should not be fitted to the kitchen sink I purchased from them!!!!!!!!!!!! A maronic comment indeed.
Avoid at all costs, I intend to take this company to task over the issues I've had.

If I could give zero stars I would I’m utterly appalled by the Service I’ve received I ordered a 2 in 1 garden sofa last week I was informed it would be delivery on Tuesday this week still waiting apparently the item went back to the GLS depot in Alicante I contacted leeroy Merlin who then contacted the company called tec take you sold my the sofa no information back for at least 24 hours same again Wednesday then Thursday all I get from leeroy Merlin it’s going to be delivered never no day or time I’ve even extended my flight home also I’ve asked for a refund only to be told just refuse the delivery when it arrives then I ask when will it arrive all I get is dont know I’ve even contacted by bank and asked for a charge back utter garbage service
