What is happening at Top…

What is happening at Top Cashback.?..Everytime that I buy something expecting a reasonable amount of cashback the claim is refused. Always using the same lame excuse. Because of issues in the past, I am very careful to follow their instructions to the letter…including their instructions below. Alas,to no avail..another £40+ refused.(others are stating like me it’s car insurance that they are not paying) I see others have the same issue when expecting decent cashback.
Very disappointed, and I feel scammed. BEWARE
See below part of their excuse…
“We’ve heard back from your claim and have been told that cashback cannot be awarded for the following reason:

"Your order was not found in the purchases TopCashback referred."

If your order ID matches the one you provided us, this means we weren’t seen as the referrer for this purchase.

While we know you visited this company through our link, sometimes websites or browsing activity before or during the purchase can prevent us from being seen to refer the purchase. It can also happen if a voucher code not displayed on our site was used or when cookies aren’t accepted on the brand’s website or app.

We want to help ensure your future purchases are awarded cashback. Taking steps, such as clearing your web browser cookies and cache before clicking through from us can help, as can making sure no other web tabs are open.”

See their pathetic generic reply. Same reply that I received on the previous occasions when cashback was declined. I followed these instructions.. still no cashback.. as I said “scammed”. DO NOT expect TCB to pay out if you are expecting more than a couple of pounds..this is the 3rd time my car insurance with different insurance companies has been declined.. I will no longer be buying via TCB as there is no point.

If we are declined for cashback as we are not seen as the last referrer by the affiliate network for the retailer, it can potentially mean something got in front of or blocked our information when the purchase was made.

Always top quality

I have used SFE for years. Always my go to for designer/quality frames. By using the Martin Lewis discount code £100+ glasses can be purchased for circa £35.
They now offer a fast track service (not sure at the cost or the speed of delivery).
Regular speed/delivery always takes four weeks..so isn’t the best option if you require your specs quickly.

Scammers Just like their parent company…

Just like their parent company Moneysupermarket , I feel scammed using their cashback service. Scammed by MS. Last year I thought that is would try Quidco (unaware that they are one and the same). Just purchased Vodafone broadband via “Quidco comparison” a week later still no cashback tracking. Conveniently for these scammers, you cannot make a claim for “Quidco compare”. The date and time / purchasing of me visiting shows on my account but they insist that it “didn’t track”. This is exactly the same experience as with Moneysupermarket last year. I am now cancelling my purchase and will repurchase through that other more reliable cashback site.
It appears that I am not alone ref tracking. There are dozens of comments on here from customers with the same experience as myself.PS..I followed ALL the rules.. cleared cookies, history etc. so really Quidco have no excuses… so I suggest that if Quidco reply they refrain from using this as a reason for not paying.
Wow..look at all the others with the same problems.. nothing tracks especially when a reasonable amount of cashback is expected.
Complete scam merchants. To top it all they have now deleted my account after me writing this review

No more in store purchase's

I have just had the misfortune of buying in store at Currys. I usually buy online. I visited the Leigh, Lancashire branch and was served by a nice lady called Shel.
Unfortunately, she was economic with how we should complete our purchase. We were buying two tvs hoping to take them home immediately. One of the items was a 55” and cost £1599.00 .
She informed us that the this tv was not stocked in store, and in any case because it was “ a large tv it would have to be delivered.” However, we could take the other tv immediately which we did. We placed the order for the 55” and reluctantly paid a £25 delivery charge.
(It now transpires that this is the most expensive delivery option !)
I have since discovered that we could have purchased both items for IMMEDIATE collection at numerous other Curry’s stores nearby. This option was was never mentioned by Shel!
Without this knowledge we were left in a “catch 22” position of having to agree to having the item delivered or we could not have the Tv.
I can only conclude that she didn’t inform us that we could purchase in a nearby store and the untruth that “large TVs have to be delivered”, because she will lose commission or sales target.
I have just revisited the store to make another large purchase and also to and request a refund of said delivery charge.
I again spoke to Shel,
the salesperson in question, her immediate response was that a “refund was not possible”. .. she didn’t even offer an apology, only a feeble attempt to “gaslight” our version of the events.
Of course, this means that I have now gone elsewhere to spend £1499 on an American fridge freezer .
This is very poor customer service. I do not like being taken as a fool.
It is back to online retailers for me.!

This is what I expected.. condescending reply.
I have replied as they suggest but I will not be holding my breath. What is the point?

No puedo creer lo mal que gestiona Leroy Merlin los problemas en línea. Hace tres semanas, pagué un estudio para instalar una puerta nueva. Leroy finalmente me contactó para concertar una cita una semana después. El perito no llegó. Desde entonces, he intentado resolver el problema a diario. El servicio de atención al cliente de Leroy Merlin no responde a los mensajes. Acabo de recibir un correo electrónico indicando que han cancelado mi pedido y que debería reiniciar el proceso. ¡No mencionan el reembolso del estudio! I cannot believe how bad Leroy Merlin are in dealing with online issue. Three weeks ago, I paid for a survey to have a new door fitted. Leroy eventually contacted me with an appointment day and time a week later. The surveyor did not arrive. I have attempted to resolve the issue on a daily basis ever since. Leroy merlin customer services do not return messages. I have just recieved an email stating that they have cancelled my order and that I should start the process again! No mention of refunding me the survey fee.! I will never order online fromLeroy Merlin ever again. GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY.! the most incompetent company.

Joke company but not funny.

Slick 5 star website but not to be trusted. Everything else zero. Communication non existent. Phone not delivered on time as promised, I cancelled the order. Eventually, my email was answered and a refund promised. Now three days later they say that the (cancelled phone) has been dispatched. A joke of a company. The phone (if it arrives ) will be refused.
Because of the delays, I purchased from another well known website ( beginning with back) and the phone was delivered next day.!
UPDATE. Pathetic Generic reply. One month on I am still awaiting the return of my money. I am contacting my Credit card company to initiate a charge back.

I am still waiting for my refund. I have started a “chargeback” via my credit card. Smart cellular do not like this because it will cost them..they have asked me to stop the claim and have promised to refund me again. I am sick of their excuses the “charge back stays”

Stay clear scammers

I only I had read the “real” reviews on here. I ordered and paid for a phone. I was relieved to get an instant message ..”2 working days to process my order”. It is now a week since I placed my order. I have received no updates..nothing since that first reply.
They state that they have “live chat” on their website good luck they must be zzzzz. I tried calling, it goes to voice mail, and then says they are “not taking calls”and to use email…alarm bells are ringing… The email reply states the email will be answered within two days…I will not be holding my breath..! Avoid this company.
Update I see that Trustpilot have put a warning about their solicited scam reviews.

Replying to their statement below. I have attempted to resolve this issue via the email that you suggest.
I have requested that my order has been cancelled and a refund issued. I am still awaiting a reply.

Smart cellular have asked to have this review suspended because of “deformatory” content.
I wish to put on record that I have a record of all my interactions with this company which prove the points that I have made. Well done Trustpilot my review is deemed truthful and is not taken down.

Still no refund. I have started a “chargeback” via my credit card. Now I get a reply..”stop the chargeback..refund on its way”.. how many times have I heard that the refund is being processed.?
The chargeback claim will not be cancelled..!

Now one month on and still awaiting my refund.
Credit card has frozen the money as chargeback is in force. I understand that this will have financial implications for Smart Cellular..serves them right

One star for the booking scam

Once again, Jet 2 change their price before I press “buy”. I have just booked a flight. Before the site will accept my selected booking it flags up” this fare is no longer available”, and lists an increased price. Of course, I do not wish to lose the flight so I pay up. This has happened on almost all my recent bookings, even though I have all my details in myJet2 in order to expedite the the booking process and avoid this “scam”. I us the word “scam” because something isn’t right. After reluctantly paying the increased fare, I immediately went back onto their website only to find that the fare has now decreased to even less than the original price..! However, when I try to book this new lower fare for my partner the same thing happens ..it increases in price again.!This is “click bait” terrible.
What is going on? I thought Jet2 were better than this…!

Top cashback WAS the best

Top cashback was the best. Not anymore.
Apart from the slow payout which you have to chase (one of mine took 12 months) not “tracking” appears to be the way not to pay out. Others have commented that higher value payouts either do not track or are “not seen” by the retailer. This means NO PAYOUT .
As others are having this problem I can only conclude that I have been scammed. There are alternatives to TCB and that is where my future purchases will be made. BEWARE.

Goodbye hotels dot com. I have used your site for years. The main (and only) reason was your rewards programme…stay 10 nights get a free night at the average value of those stays ( a 10% discount in real terms)…this was a fantastic deal.
Alas, no longer. They have changed this winning product with something called “one key”.. this gives “cashback” equivalent to 2%. In the future why would I bother? To add insult to injury I find that Hotels . Com don’t even offer the best prices anymore. They have now lost my business at least 60 nights per year.

Unreliable

Unreliable.
I thought that I would try Breeze for my recent trip to the States. In the past, I have purchased a local u.s. sim. Breeze only works for data which I did not notice when I purchased.(others have mentioned this issue) This proved to be very inconvenient as I sometimes needed to make calls.

The service went down for during my visit. This caused me major problems. ( I could only communicate when in a wifi hotspot.) Breeze customer service eventually got back to me stating that they were aware of a problem in the USA. ‘We are investigating and will provide updates as soon as we have them..we apologise for any inconvenience” ....This meant that I was hours with no mobile internet..really not good enough.!
By the time the service resumed I had purchased a sim on a local network..I only wish that I had done this in the first place…

Azura the 90s want their ship back.


People rave about Azura. I can only conclude that they are easily pleased or former Butlins clients.
The ship is dated. The central area with its glass lifts reminds me of a 1990s Debenhams. The set dining is a shambles. We were placed on a table with 4 miserable strangers who didn’t make eye contact with us. We asked to move the restaurant manager was less than helpful or interested. The food in here was bland and repetitive.
Fortunately, we had booked the Epicurian and Beach house speciality restaurants, both of these were excellent and the highlight of the cruise.
The entertainment in the theatre was poor..thank goodness the shows only lasted 45 minutes..Butlins again.
Bar service was slow and waiter service almost non existent. Time ashore was limited so exploring without using P&O overpriced excursions was difficult…too little time.
Why have two formal evenings on a seven day cruise? Captains was ok but the second was a complete joke. Nothing special.
I tried to post my experiences of the Facebook Azura page but their control freaks only allow 100% favourable remarks.
The flights on Jet 2 were well organised and good.
Cabin steward and all waiters were excellent.
We had a superior balcony cabin. Again, a good choice.
I understand that Azura is due a refit next year..well needed.

Halfords “fit at home” harvesting info

Halfords “fit at home” to replace a battery.
Booked and paid for a slot..8am to noon…received ‘order summary’ via email which then stated ‘all day’ fitting…not my 8 till noon..!
Concerned that I may have to wait in all day, I emailed Halfords to query this timing but didn’t get a reply..phoned but could never get through to a customer service agent..”tracking” does not work either. VERY POOR.
Thankfully, the Halfords man did arrive during the booked slot.
However, before he would start work that he said that he had to do a ‘survey’ before he could start the job..in spite of my objections he insisted that i had to supply my cars mileage and he then began to take photos of my car, tyres etc…why is this necessary? The battery is guaranteeed for 5 years and not limited to mileage. As a woman home alone, I told him that I was not happy.
I can only assume that they are gathering information to sell on and to pester me with future emails in attempt to sell further Halfords products..ie servicing, tyres, mot.
This is an underhanded practice and an invasion of privacy. Needless to say that Halfords have now lost my trust and future business…and is not to be recommended.

It doesn’t improve

It doesn’t improve. Manchester airport is an embarrassment. Originally from Manchester, On arrival, I found mysel apologising to fellow foreign travellers. Up and down stairs in what resembled fire escapes in order to access immigration only to find most passport readers nor working. From the depressing, overcrowded terminal 3 it’s a long dismal walk outside to terminal 1 to gain access to the long walkway for the train station ( walk being the correct word as the travelators have not worked for years). Departing terminal 3 has to be experienced to believe the ludicrous state of the place. Long security queues in a claustrophobic area. Security” staff” who look and acted like they had just been picked off the street. Very unprofessional. Queues at gates block access to other gates.. some even snake back into the food and bar areas. Don’t get me started on the other two terminals!
Ridiculous drop off and pick up charges..impossible to collect anyone without paying at least £12

HAPPY NEW YEAR??not..
I have just visited your new Asda Astley express petrol M29 7BQ. (New years day).at 7.45pm. The store states that it is opened until 8.00pm. Never have I witnessed such appalling customer service. The forecourt had numerous vehicles being refuelled and customers still browsing in store. On entering a girl on the till shouted over “we are closed”. I thought that this was strange having just checked the opening times before leaving home. Her next statement was to shout “ we closed 35seconds ago”….I believed this was an an attempt at New Year’s Day humour..alas, I was wrong, she was serious.…I only required two small items. She insisted that I would not be served…!
Why does ASDA state a closing time of 8.00pm when in reality it closes at 7.45pm? Is this the standard policy throughout all your stores? If so..WHY? If this is standard policy, why refuse service because a customer arrives “ 35 seconds late”. Speaking to customers in such a derogatory and sarcastic manner does nothing for the ASDA brand.
