I cancelled my rental application in…

I cancelled my rental application in favour of purchasing rather than renting.

The lettings hub have refused to delete my personal data after I withdrew, and now are ignoring my legal requests for a SAR and for my information to be removed from their systems. This is against GDPR and they have no legal right to retain my data especially as I have never rented property previously nor will I in the future.
Quite questionable actions, I do not trust companies who retain information with no legal grounds. I wonder who this information is bring shared with if they think they can ignore these requests. Legal action pending!
Delete my data now!

I spoke to Caroline initially and she was down to earth human and lovely. She asked Chelsea C to help and the responses were in within a couple of hours.
Today I spoke to Lorraine B who went above and beyond to help me. I can only thank them and acknowledge that there are people who work for this company who are doing their utmost best.

Simply diabolical

Simply diabolical. Unfit for purpose and requires some form of ombudsman to review their practices.
I am not willingly involved with MWU directly. unfortunately the property developer I am purchasing a PX from is using them. :(
The property I am purchasing is unregistered, which appears to be a common theme as previous reviews have experienced the same. I was not informed until too late.
Now I know that they knew very well and had hoped if I proceeded with cash they could get away with it. I am disgusted.
I have sold and ready to complete but cannot because they have only allocated a solicitor last Thursday even though I expressed the urgency of the matter and huge bills I was running up.
Absolutely disgraceful experience. I am getting legal advise because I will not continue to lose large amounts of money because of them.

UPDATE after response below.

I don’t have to be your client but your awful practice and involvement in my purchase is causing me a great inconvenience.
We are still trying to work out the exact purpose for the existence of this organisation. Maybe it is simply an inefficient incompetent money grabbing middle man specialising in failing miserably and causing grief.

I had an excellent experience staying…

I had an excellent experience staying at Travelodge Cheshunt EN7.
So many people warned me not to stay at travelodge but I gave it a try and was soo happy I did!
Carmela and Monika went above and beyond to help me in any way I needed. Carmela chose a room that accommodated my needs without a qualm.
The quality of the breakfast served at TL Cheshunt is better quality than some of the more expensive cafes in the area offering a better value for money. The room was spotless and the bed was amazing! I slept so well I was SO surprised at how comfortable it was!
Thank you so much, you didn’t have to help but you did and this is much appreciated. Excellently managed hotel.

I purchased an electric heater from…

I purchased an electric heater from this company to replace a previous good working order item. The electric heater has stopped working, cutting out suddenly after approximately 5/6 months.
Until a few minutes ago I was being ignored. There responses are very defensive and telling me I have to prove that it was faulty, this is contrary to consumer rights. I will update this post if they refuse further to refund.
Jacs lighting are deliberately denying consumer rights regarding the electric heater purchase from them in good faith. They blatantly misconstrued what I have said after following information provided with the heater and are accusing that I had not dusted an item that they have not seen note checked.
This company lacks basic professional integrity and I am reporting them today. Buyers beware!

PLT missing items scam

I placed an order with PLT on Thursday 11 July for 2 pair of shoes. When the parcel arrived I could see immediately from the outside that only one box was in the package. I assumed the second item was out of stock so went to check my emails for confirmation of this. I realised that both were listed as issued. I quickly took pictures of the package and one box within and sent a message to PLT. They got me to confirm that I had not received the item etc. I can’t believe how much I trusted that they would see the facts! I was wrong!
They then sent a response on Sunday to say they had reviewed my order and confirmed that the shoes were packed.
Impossible! The investigation claims department state that they only work Monday to Friday yet emailed me on a Sunday morning.
I do not know how this happened but only one box was in the package.
PLT have stonewalled on this issue but there is something scammy about this whole thing. The onus of proof is not on me as the customer as we have no way of evidencing opening the package.
PLT I DEMAND TO SEE THE EXACT FOOTAGE OF THESE ITEMS BEING PACKED, SEALED AND ADDRESSED WITH MY DETAILS.
I know they won’t do this because it did not happen! It was not packed I did not receive the item and this is such a scam.
I feel stupid because I reordered another pair of the same shoes the same day because I wanted them so much! 😡
PLT/Boohoo should be boycotted and cancelled I know that this must have happened to other people. I will not be defrauded! I am not a liar and I have family who are lawyers so let’s go!

I hope everyone can see the response which completely ignores my request to see the footage.
I am not crazy, nor a liar nor a thief!
I am not stupid either, to take the steps I am taking publicly it is a matter of principle!
THOSE SHOES WERE NOT IN THAT PACKAGE! I REFUSE to pay for something twice because of loopholes in your system.
A warning to all. Beware. It is only a matter of time before this happens to you.
Useful information, PLT no longer exists but is now BOOHOO.
I have experienced boohoo lying before that is why I have closed my accounts with them in the past.
I already responded to the email but in boohoo true style they will not respond to truth.
You cannot guarantee that just because something was packed and sealed in view of your factory cameras that that was the end of the matter. I have shared this with many friends who are now noting this situation and withdrawing from PLT/boohoo as they know me by character!

Thank you for this review. Due to many false claims made in the past, it means that we have had no option other than to change the way missing item claims are handled.

When a claim is received, this is passed to the relevant team who will review the footage of the order being scanned, packed and shipped. I can see our customer service team passed this claim to them and upon review of the footage, it was found all items were packed and sealed into the parcel that was sent. We take missing item claims very seriously and due to the footage showing all items were packed and sealed in the parcel, we are unable to offer a refund or resend on the alleged missing item. If we can help further with this, please respond to the email the team sent advising of this

Boycott PLT scam - missing item.

UPDATE: 23 July
The facts remain and stand again and confirm. That package sent is not the same that I received and I do not know how many hands handle it before it arrives. One boxed pair of GOLD coloured shoes arrived alone in that package. End of.

Having checked your order I can see that our Customer Service team and Escalations team have reviewed your claim for a missing item along with our specialist team and all have concluded that the parcel has been sent with all items and securely packaged and based on the delivery confirmation from the courier the same parcel has arrived at the delivery address.

As such no refund or replacement will be offered on this occasion.

Holding my return for 5 days

Holding my return for 5 days. Refusing to confirm they actually have received the item by email for that period. In the live chat they are acknowledging they should have refunded by this time, they HAVE the goods but REFUSE to process the refund now.
Disgusting service recently more headache than they are worth. Customer service deplorable.

UPDATE - Jessica may have quickly responded last September 8th 2023 yet TRINITY CLAIMS has FAILED to action and complete the scope list report on terrible works by their contractor builders. On the 6th Sept a surveyor attended and highlighted the awful quality of work. NO FURTHER ACTION. I Was called 1 month ago but no report/scope or list shared with me to date. You can’t make this up.
Not sure if you have a choice to avoid TRINITY CLAIMS once a part of QIC but avoid Policy Expert, QIC holdings and any related companies if possible. Shocking, appallingly poor and should be investigated.

Policy expert experience. This company has authorised a contractor via Trinity Claims to complete works on my property. The claim handlers, Trinity Claims have been a nightmare to deal with and the contractors works have been checked three times by varying policy expert surveyors and they deemed the work poor. I have proceeded to the ombudsmen 3 times as the experience has been horrendous. Now the time of renewal they increase your premiums astronomically and refuse to compare and provide a competitive price. So my premiums have increased despite the awful works on my property that will need to be rectified. All because of a bunch of cowboy builders authorised by the claim handlers, it’s a game! Well done policy expert. Everything is great as long as they are taking your money for free.
