I got scammed by them pro
This is by far the worst car rental customer service are rude and unprofessional they try being super aggressive with me on buying additional insurance when i told them i got full coverage from the website and Geico covers the insurance. There were old couples there they were screaming at they had double their cost of the car. Its a scam dont go for cheap car they will scam you.
Hidden Charges
The young lady who checked me in was rude, no customer service skills at all. She told me I could cancel my reservation while I was standing at the counter. If there was another rental place close by I would have. My car insurance company said I was fully covered, my credit card company said I was fully covered, and the rude counter agent wouldn't accept any of my insurances and charged me 30$ per day, which as a Canadian I had to pay an additional 30% on top of the daily charges.
SCAM ALERT
I was told by one of their Employees that they purposely don't fill up the gas tank so when you return the car and you don't document that it was not filled they charge you a 65.00 Dollars fee. They also charge you 25.00 dollars 💸 fee for not returning the car during their business hours. WHAT A SCAM.
Not Good
Pickup from airport was very slow. Booked Zezgo through Travelocity. I couldn't understand the agent (non-english speaking in the United States) but they didn't use the Travelocity pricing and added the same items and doubled up on fees. The fees for the toll pass were not shown, just added. Pretty much everything is an unknown dollar value they added on.
Gave them a 1 star because of no other…
Gave them a 1 star because of no other choices. Got my rental as a bundal through Expedia. When I got to the rental office, I was told that my car insurance did not cover loss and damage when in fact I have full insurance and have transferred same insurance with other rental companies.
They have other hidden fees that no other companies have charged me for in Fl. Their advertising is misleading and suggest prople go with other rentals co and stay away.
This company does not exist in Heraklion!
Arriving in the middle of the night at Heraklion airport, we had reserved and payed for a rental car with Zezgo.
There was no Zezgo pick-up shuttle, nobody answering the Zezgo phone number and after walking to the Zezgo rental adres we found an abandoned place where there is definitely no car rentals!
We had a horrible night in Heraklion and are still waiting for our money back!
My Worst experience in a life time
This was by far the WORST rental experience I’ve ever had. The car they gave us had constant battery issues and completely died on 9/21/25, leaving us stranded. We had to pay out-of-pocket just to get it jump-started, and when we called customer service, they wasted hours of our time only to tell us to drive the car 3 hours back. That meant another 3 hours returning to the Keys — a full day of our vacation completely destroyed.
To make things even more ridiculous, the keychain had the WRONG return address, adding another half hour of driving we shouldn’t have had to do. Between the unreliable vehicle, incompetent service, and careless mistakes, our yearly vacation was ruined.
This company clearly doesn’t care about its customers or their time. If you’re thinking about renting here, DON’T. Save yourself the stress, money, and aggravation — go literally anywhere else.
Booked online? Prepare to pay more...
I really wanted to like this company but here's the gist...
I booked through an online site for my recent vacation. As soon as I booked my dates, I signed into the Zezgo site and saw that the dates were booked for one day earlier and for returning one day earlier that what I booked on what I found out was a 3rd party site. After several unanswered emails to the only email addresses that I had, my wife finally called to try to talk to someone in the office to make sure we had secured a card. After two days, we had the reservation updated.
Once we arrive to pickup the car, we were told that the $90 that I though was securing the car for the weekend was not enough. They proceeded to tell me that only $70 would be applied to the agreement and I ended up leaving by paying an additional $113.70 (the tolls portion was expected). We did not use the toll transponder at all during the trip and there was not deduction for not doing so (not thinking it would be refunded). On Tuesday, I was charged an additional $77.55 and will dispute this with my credit card as it was not on the agreement.
Between the unresponsive emails and the extra fees that were added on before signing the agreement and the ones after the agreement, I will have to disclose all of this in the survey or review site as well as provide all of this to my credit card company to review during the dispute of the last charge.
At $281.25 for the rental, I could have rented a better car right at the airport.
UPDATE: They finally two weeks later about the $77.55 charge. They claimed it was for tolls (which I never even used or drove on a toll road) and vehicle cleaning fee (car was returned spotless and was never informed of any type of additional cleaning fee). They provided all of my paperwork and even the credit card slips that I signed. The $77.55 was not signed and was not even presented to me to sign when I returned the car but they had me sign one that said $0.00 when I returned the car indicating the car was returned in good shape. BE AWARE OF THIS SHADY BUSINESS.
DON'T DO IT!
Rented through Expedia to pick up at LAX. The lady at the counter refused to accept my insurance info after I presented her with a card and with the policy itself. Got charged $ 98 for their insurance. Never in my life has it been this difficult to rent a vehicle. And to top it all off, she was RUDE!
I went online an rented a mini van for…
I went online an rented a mini van for the 16th of September, I was going to Georgia for a family reunion. I used Booking.com and Zezgo requested a $ 1,000.00 hold. When I went to pick up the mini van they mentioned $ 2,000.00 hold. Becuase people use the cars as Ubers, this is not my issue. They never checked the car, they did not check the fuel nor gave me a contract. I live like 6 minutes from the Orlando Airport. I arrived home gave them a call and asked for a contract then I was told I could not leave the state and they will charge me $.060 for each mile after 100 miles per day, the car was useless. I decided to take it back. Refuse to give me my money back for the 6 days rental and now they are charging my credit card 105.06 for pre-paid tolls on a mini van I never used. They have fraudulent charges and excessive holds on rental. Do not use them. I filed a complaint to the BBB and will continue to file complaints until I get a full refund on everything they took
This os by far the worst car rental…
This os by far the worst car rental customer service are rude and unprofessional they try giving me dirty car plus it had the front bumper falling to the ground i asked them to change the vehicle, nobody wants to drive a dirty old mess up rental car is an embarrassment of a company 4 people walked out please dont rent from this company is a total mess
Reservation Cancelled !
WE Pre paid a car rental for a week with Expedia, and when showed at the counter at Zezgo, they had cancelled the reservation and left us with no car with a family after a long flight. Expedia don't advertise clear rules for car rentals, just don't care about experiences only false advertising, RENT directly with serious car rental companies inside the airport, avoid intermediaries such as Expedia for car rentals avoid ZEZGO
Please don’t use this company
Please don’t use this company. They spoil our vacation. We booked car with them on line and were told to bring our car insurance (if we have full coverage) and we do, that they are going to charge $500.00 refundable deposit when we take car out. First able we waited at the airport for almost an 1 hour for shuttle to show up and then they ask for extra non refundable @250.00 for lost of use.( if car ends up in body shop)We called uber and driver took us to another rent a car place where we got a car, paid less, they excepted our insurance and never charged us anything extra. Never heard that. It’s a scam.Don’t be another VICTIM.
Unprofessional Service and False Advertising
The check-in process was unduly burdensome, particularly for a traveler arriving from a flight. The requirement to personally photograph the vehicle and report any damages was an added stressor. Furthermore, the staff were unaccommodating and provided no assistance, exacerbating a frustrating experience. The service we received was profoundly disappointing. Upon returning our vehicle, we were assured a complimentary shuttle to the airport. However, upon arrival at the drop-off location, no staff or shuttle was present. After waiting 20 minutes and being forced to order a ride-share for fear of missing our flight, an employee finally appeared. This lack of follow-through on a promised service demonstrates a serious failure in customer care and transparency. Due to this unreliable and unprofessional experience, we will not be using your services in the future.
SCAM ALERT....
SCAM ALERT..... Zezgo has trained its employees to scam you. I saw this multiple times while at the counter for 3.5 hours. EVERY PERSON LEFT. Not one person got a car due to their policy.
I am blessed to travel the world. I have the best car insurance money can buy, specifically to be able to rent cars anywhere with massive coverage. It was not good enough for Zezgo. I had the manager at the insurance company on the phone wanting to speak to the agent and they refused. Would not talk to them........ They wanted to charge me $300 extra for a 3 day car rental. Insane. Everyone walked out. Not one person took a car. This is all to make extra money. They will not accept any insurance. You rent you. Good luck, you will be burned.
Be aware of their shady business…
Be aware of their shady business practices: They force you to buy 3rd. party liability through them even though your Canadian insurance policy covers your rental car. If you return your car before 8:00 am., they will charge you an additional $25. Also, both their shuttle bus and office stop working after 11:00 PM. USE ANOTHER CAR RENTAL COMPANY!!!
Oh everything went wrong
Oh everything went wrong right from when they picked us up about 1 hour after several calls were made and with the faulty electrical issue vehicle they handed us. Picked up the car, drove less than 5 mins, car turned off and won't power on, dashboard went blank and all the buttons stopped working.
Had to call 911 cos it was on a busy road to help out. Towed company came and luckily the car turned back on, quickly drove it back to the rude staff 😑 to drop it off because it started jerking again as usual.
Ask for my refund and the rude Hispanic staff was giving me attitude for my money. Anyways dropped the car off and called my bank to explain the whole issue with pictures as proof.
They seems shady and scammy. Never again will I use them if not Avis or Budget.
These suckered won't even answer the number provided and the rude Hispanic front desk lady was like that's not the main number.
Trained con artists.
Crooks and Thieves
Update: 08/29/25. I still haven't been refunded my money.
This place also goes by Advantage. I imagine they changed their name due to all the pending lawsuits that must exist.
Stay away from this place. I believe they're known by other names though so I would check that address. They charged me $67 for a refueling fee and for the gas that I supposedly didn't put in the vehicle. I received the vehicle with half a tank, they argued and said I received it with 3/4 tank. I submitted proof that it was not 3/4. I'm still waiting on a response. They didn't even send me an invoice for the additional fee.
I've rented vehicles from several agencies across the country and even at international rental agencies, I've never been treated like this. Very, very sketchy business practices. Go with a more well-known brand, you're safer there. Oh and yes, I used a third-party booking site, but there were a bunch of additional fees so the cost was much higher than listed.
Dishonest.
I booked through Expedia choosing the option for airport collection as I didn’t want a shuttle. This was for Athens. Regardless of this I still had to walk to a shuttle pick up and wait for an hour for the driver, he drove us 15 minutes away to a place called Abby car. It wasn’t even called Zezgo (I guess they changed their name due to bad reviews). I was then charged 1000 euro for a holding deposit. I didn’t experience this anywhere else in Europe.. so basically I couldn’t use my credit card overseas. It took several days after I dropped the car off to see the funds back in my account. There were several customers picking up cars at the same time and all were upset and complaining… the staff couldn’t care less.
