I booked through Enjoy Travel, who connected me with Zezgo Athens — a rental company with a terrible reputation (which I sadly discovered too late).
The car broke down due to a maintenance fault, and Zezgo tried to hit me with inflated costs and even suggested claiming them from insurance in a way that felt dishonest. I had purchased what Enjoy Travel calls “full insurance,” but it turned out far from full — and for the parts it didn’t cover (technical breakdown of the car, which I didn't caused), there was no agreement in place between Enjoy Travel and Zezgo, leaving me exposed to unnecessary costs.
When problems began, Enjoy Travel’s “support” was simply: write a letter to claims. No help getting a replacement car. No mediation with the rental company. No alternative transportation for the day I was stranded. Just a cold, legalistic response with zero empathy or acknowledgment of the inconvenience.
I’m not disputing they may be within their rights — but that’s not the point. Good companies step up for customers, even when the fine print doesn’t force them to. Other companies, can't name them here, actively help and protect their clients. Enjoy Travel, in my experience, does not.
This isn’t about the money. It’s about taking responsibility, working with trustworthy partners, and showing basic decency — which were missing here.
The (negative) review by feefo, which is only accepted by EnjoyTravel, was denied because the costs were mentioned in the review.
