The logistics of the company were under transition. The development was transferring to come under the management of another area. Consequently our experience was negatively affected due to lack of communication, and further exemplified by the sales representative moving on to another company and losing interest and accountability. The standard of finishing throughout was abhorrent and we had to report numerous malfunction of fixtures and fittings, such as leaks, apiancrs not working etc. The new site manager has been fabulous so far and reacted immediately and has assessed problems and esculated appropriately so hopefully things will be rectified. My excitement of moving into a new home was squashed within minutes.

DWH Customer Care team member, Andy , attended to carryout snagging for several issues which had arisen. Andy was friendly and polite. He carried out the repairs professionally and left the work areas clean and tidy. I woud be happy to use Andy again if required. Thank you Andy.

I live in a block of flats built by DWH built in 2014, they are also the freeholder/landowner.
The roof started leaking across the site when just 5 years old. The leaks have got worse each year.
Now at 11 years old the roof needs major works and DWH are accepting no responsibility and have left leaseholders with massive bills.

We love the location of our new home and we also love the space the layout provides. Some features of the home are absolutely amazing. However, there are just far too many quality issues for this to be considered a five star experience. The staff in the sales office have been great throughout, but the part exchange team were virtually non existent, as was the progression coordinator. Far too often, a lack of communication was simply blamed on people being on holiday. There are too many quality defects to list here, but a few highlights:
The house was not sparkle clean when we moved in, the finishing is poor and no one knows how the new heating systems work, so we haven't had a consistent hot water supply...
Let's see how things go over the next few months, as we settle in, while having to deal with the constant traffic of various different tradesmen coming into our home to repair faults...

We are very happy with our new home in Nantwich and the whole experience of purchasing it. The property itself has a great finish, and the quality of the build has really impressed us. Our sales advisor, Jordan, deserves a special mention – they went out of their way to correct any miscommunications and made sure we had everything we wanted, always supportive and keen to help throughout the process.
As with most new builds, there were some delays, but the team kept us well-informed and handled everything with professionalism and care. We always felt reassured and in good hands. Overall, we are extremely pleased with both the service we received and the beautiful new home we now have.

I had a great experience purchasing a new DWH at Kingsgate Abingdon. We were able to do a part exchange for our new home. Dawn, the marketing representative, was excellent with her communication, and we were offered some fantastic incentives. After the handover, Kerry took great care of us. The part-exchange process was smooth, and we received the keys to our new home faster than we had anticipated.

Isabel Lees has been wonderful, since the first day we came to explore Thorseby Vale development, right up to us reserving our home. She has always been so friendly, knowledgable and has made the whole process less daunting. Very genuine and sincere, we never felt pressured, or like she was anything less than excited and positive for us. A joy to deal with

We are very pleased with the standard of workmanship on our bungalow on Olive park Uttoxeter, we also visited many times during the build and found everyone to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable, it really has been a pleasure buying from David Wilson Homes, a great big thank you to Chris in sales, Tom, Russell and Ian the site agents and all the tradesmen that worked on plot 180. I would have no hesitation in recommending David Wilson to any future buyers they take great pride in customer satisfaction a rare commodity nowadays.

The friendliness & professional approach by the sales consultant. Providing all the information required on plots we were interested in. There are 2 points i would like to mention, we were interested in another plot and saw the show home at a different site. The front of the show home was different to the plot we saw so there was a bit of a disappointment there. The second point, whereas I appreciate there is a process David Wilson follows to obtain the relevant information from us. I think what needs to be considered is the availability of applicants to provide this. Both me and my partner have very high pressure professions with limited available time to make the necessary contacts. Personally I feel by allowing several days without constant reminders maybe a way forward. This in no way reflects on the salesman at the site, he is just following the process & procedures set out by David Wilson Homes

I did a review shortly after moving in and gave 5 stars so wanted to revisit now that we have lived in the property for 3 years. Overall the house has been great and the neighbourhood is lovely. On David Wilson themselves the sales to completion process was great and the on-site aftercare was brilliant too. Since moving to the support of the Customer Care team we have had mixed experiences. Generally they have honoured commitments to fix any issues and the tradespeople used have been generally good. However we have had numerous issues with our en-suite shower and DWH have failed repeatedly to ensure the correct standard of fix has been applied. In Jan 2024 we had to have the whole room ripped out due to escape of water and a full rebuild. Then in July of this year we once again found water streaming through our ceiling below. The tradesman who inspected found numerous issues in how the previous fix had been applied (a recurring pattern) and again we had to have work done to fix. David Wilson will not commit currently to covering the latest fix for more than 12 months even though we have had numerous issues and water flooded through our ceiling 17 months on last time around. We still haven't had 2 years go by without water coming through the ceiling so we have asked to speak to a local area director on the matter but the customer care team generally answer questions like a chat bot and do not seem to really care about the experience we have gone through. I really don't think it is unreasonable for DWH to commit to their customers that they will go two years without water pouring through a ceiling due to their improper workmanship.

Overall my experience was really good from the start. The sales lady Karen was really brilliant, she made me feel like a valuable customer and her communication on big or small issues was really top notch.
The team from the Sales manager, Site Manager and workers on the site were all respectful, helpful and friendly. I cannot thank them enough for their help.
