We purchased our new vehicle from Cannock branch plus our daughter and niece all within the last 6 weeks due to the excellent service from the sales team. When you purchase a vehicle you are provided the option of warranty extra over to give an assurance of safe no cost motoring. Unfortunately our vehicle has developed a fault and the vehicle is unusable. We reported the fault on 23rd October explaining the fault. I was called today on 24th 24 hrs later to be told they cannot look at the car for 2 weeks, should have been longer but due to fault it'll be 2 weeks. They will not provide a courtesy car as its not been diagnosed, I cannot hire a car as they will not cover the cost. When sold this warranty the sales guys explain you have total cover, no issues like other garages, everything covered except general items yet here we are again, no support, warranty is worth nothing without providing after care that was sold to us. Total disgrace DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, they are saying one thing but mean something else. I suppose we will be back to paying out ourselves to resolve the issues as the car is required daily. Nightmare!!!. RW Cannock
For clarity the car has now been arranged by BIG Motoring, however the nightmare still continues as we have had to arrange the RAC with daily calls who are not helpful and their hire car ends the day before yours starts meaning we are without a vehicle for 24 hours. Nowhere in your particulars does it say that the warranty is ran by the customer, it says you just call?.

First Attempt – Cannock Branch (Price Discrepancy and Reversal)
We contacted the Big Motoring World sales team to request a price match between two identical Tesla Model Y Long Range vehicles in white, both located at the Cannock branch. One vehicle with 36,000 miles was listed at £22,500, while another with 38,000 miles was priced at £23,500. The team advised that the lower-priced listing was a pricing error but confirmed it would be honoured for the customer who reserved it.
Later that day, the £22,500 listing became available, and I reserved the vehicle immediately before travelling to the branch. Upon arrival, the advisor (BJ) informed me that the price was £25,000. After escalating the issue and presenting screenshots of the reservation and website confirmation, BJ consulted with his manager, who agreed to honour the £22,500 price. However, shortly after, BJ was called into the office and returned to inform me that the manager had reversed the decision following a call to head office. The final offer was £25,000, which I declined due to better-priced alternatives elsewhere.
I would like to acknowledge BJ’s professionalism throughout the process. He handled the situation with transparency and courtesy, and I fully understand this was beyond his control.
Second Attempt – Cannock Branch (Vehicle Relocation Without Notice)
We reserved another Tesla Model Y at the Cannock branch and visited later that day to inspect the vehicle. After a 30-minute wait, we were informed that the car had been relocated to the Norwich branch. No prior communication was provided regarding the move, and the lack of customer consideration was disappointing.
Third Attempt – Norwich Branch (Positive Interaction but Vehicle Issue)
Despite previous setbacks, we travelled three hours to the Norwich branch to view the previously reserved Tesla. We were welcomed by Jaden, whose customer service was exceptional. He demonstrated a level of professionalism and care that should be a benchmark across the company.
After a test drive and completing the paperwork, we noticed that Autopilot was unavailable. While attempting a software update via mobile hotspot, I discovered a hairline crack in the glass roof, which was not immediately visible. This issue led to the cancellation of the sale. Apologies were offered by the branch manager, Damian, but no price match was provided for similar vehicles in other branches.
Conclusion
Across all three attempts, the experience has been inconsistent, with moments of excellent customer service overshadowed by operational and communication failures. While individual staff members such as BJ and Jaden demonstrated professionalism and integrity, the overall process lacked reliability and transparency. These experiences have led me to reconsider future engagements with Big Motoring World.

They sold us a vehicle with significant accident damage despite providing a 200 point checklist stating no evidence of accident damage.
Took over two months to get the rejection accepted and a refund as apparently cosmetic damage is not covered under the consumer rights act so they obviously have no idea of the law or just blatantly disregard it. They are now refusing to reimburse the costs incurred as a result of their breach of contract so will be looking forward to seeing them in court.

Far too pushy and misled and miss sold products.

Awful. Bought citroen c5 aircross April 2025 and immediately had fault alert for electric traction intermitently flagging up with inability to use electric mode. I raised this and was told it could just be thr hot weather. This continued on and off and as still under mamufactor warranty i was told first point is local citroen dealer as to not kick in my extended warranty yet. Diognostic test showed needed new battery. Big motoring world refused to cover this although a battery should last 10-15yrs. Car was low milage and as has happened since day one 200 point check was void as obviously the battery wouldnt of passed. Now can see why it wasnt charged ready for my test drive. Stay clear of this company. Costly experience i will not want again.

Thanks very much to Dylan for helping us choose a new car and for getting us a great deal with lots of patience and care. We are looking forward to driving away today with a great new car
Edit - after I wrote this review we sat for a very long time waiting for the car. The whole process took from 11.30-5.30. More staff needed at the weekend I think! Much too long to wait

i found a car i liked and took it for a test drive on a Wednesday edvening. the car had outstanding finance on it which i believe is foreourt finance, (a regular practice for car sales rooms). i asked and was reasured that it was normal, and that all the cars have that finance on them in their showrooms. i then left a £500 deposit on the vehicle, while the salesman was pushing me to pay it in full and drive it away that day. it was about 6pm at this point which is relevant later on. i refused as i needed too take my vehicle home that i was in. the salesman said he would drive it to my house for me, i only live 3 miles or so from there. so on the Thursday i take 2 hrs off work to call in pay for the car in full, and take it home. i got dropped off their and spoke to the sales team. they came out took my payment of £14,100 and brought me the log book. i picked my phone up to do the online road duty payment and they tell me the car has to be taxed at the postoffice due to it being a dissabilty car. its now 3 oclock and i have to get a taxi to a post office. so now i get a taxi to the post office to sort the tax out. they could have told me that at any stage about the disability car tax issue but chose not to until it was almost too late. in the taxi i made a payment for my insurance of £300 and started a warrenttee i had paid for on the engine of the car, another £50. as i left the post office my phone rings and its Big Motorung world. they inform me that i can not now have the car as it has developed a fault on the battery. i said how long will it be before its ready? they said "not sure" so i said well shall i come get it tomorrow? they said no, it will likely be about 11 days!!! i need the car for work next week i tell them. they said theres little chance of that as they are not sure where the fault is yet. the only reason i give them 2 stars is because at least i didnt get it home with the fault. now here is why it gets so very wrong. they reinbursed my deposit there and then. it came back to my bank on the Saturday morning so 2 days. i called them on the friday about my £14100 and was told they guy who deals with refunds was on leave and it would get sorted monday! i was not happy but there was no apology. i started a dispute with them through my bank, and waited until Tuesday to call them BMC up for a progress report. well i was met with "it wont get done that quickly, we suggest your money will be returned by a week on Friday. that would be 2 weeks and 1 day since i gave them £14100 for absulubtly no product. on the plus side, i now have the logbook for that car, although its on finance so legally the finance company own it. i just think that there is a way they can return me my money as quickly as i paid it to them. i have had to buy a different car now and i can assure you its not from BMC, they lost my custom and my faith in them. its a very worrying situation knowing they made a loss of £10.7 million last year and have my money.
EDIT. my money came back in on the 6th day.

Purchased a 2024 ford puma has finance in place with them before turning up still kept on site for 6 hours by sales man. Tried to rip us off with part x until I said worked in trade the increased offer by over 1000.00. Few days after taking car home noticed inner panels missing from rear of car reported it supplied pictures told items were attached when we had it so we took panels off asked for pics proof sent wrong part of car challenge sent back still said we removed the parts and refused to talk to us again . I wouldn't touch this company if I wanted to buy a toy car KEEP AWAY unless you want ripping off. Another email from the escalated issues department again showing the incorrect part of the car in question. Makes you wonder if these people know the front of a car from the back. I have over 30 years experience in the motor trade and feel people like these are the ones that bring the trade down
Could to take this now to trading standards to show up just what a company these are and take money off people. What a shocking way to run a company. Can't wait till they add rubbish lie filled reply to this.PLEASE ALL SEE REPLY they are still saying about pictures showing outside of vehicle not of the panels on the inside that we reported missing. More proof that they have no idea what they are talking about and just rip people off avoid and go to a proper car dealer Arthur Daley could be trusted more than this company

Avoid big motoring world -the reviews are overwhelming negative and our experience was negative-paid £129 to move a car priced £22,500 from Kent to Cannock and arranged a test drive, was advised that this would be refunded if car was not as described. Car was dirty , bird poo splattered all down rear side of car, rear interior trim was loose. Harry the salesman was nice and advised cars are only cleaned if a sale is agreed .No v5 with the car, no battery certificate. 3 month warranty is pathetic with £500 claim limit, extended warranties are very over priced £1395 for 12months ! as are alloy wheel protection and paint /interior protection at £799 each. They refused to refund the £129

Oh dear - just bought a Kia Sportage from BGM and when I got home noticed the rear parcel shelf (that hides all your luggage etc) was not present!! Upon contacting the Cannock site was told that all cars are "sold as seen" - despite their boast of quality that they "check, check, and check again" - and that I had not noticed the lack of parcel shelf (ie my fault!). The sales force acknowledged that they knew of the lack of parcel shelf, but failed to mention it during the 6 1/2 hrs I was there. Their celebrated "200 point check" also failed to show that the shelf was missing! Avoid, avoid, avoid, unless you are absolutely sure you can verify EVERYTHING about the car personally - do not rely on the 200 point check or assurances from the sales force - you are buying a car "sold as seen", rather like a back street garage!!

More interested in selling me their products and convincing me to use BlackHorse finance instead of a finance of my own choosing. Avoid this company at all cost. Worth reading facebook groups dedicated to exposing them (wish I saw it before wasting my entire day).

DO NOT VISIT OR BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE!! Went to view a a car after viewing it online, it looked as in excellent condition on the photos online, however once I got there, everything went just downhill, the car had dents, marks ,scratches and even the rear light had been some how hit and was loose. The sales guy kept insisting that I should just buy the car and they seem really persistent on their warranty which is all a scam as I had this before with a different car from this place and they don't help at all. Nevertheless, i seen the same vehicle model parked next to this damaged one and that was also damaged and run down. None of this is mentioned on their adverts and I not only wasted my time going here (45mins) but also wasted money travelling here. Avoid this place at all costs, and if they be persistent on their warranty, DO NOT fall into the trap. P.s if you see the vehicle EJ22 VDA do not buy it as this was damaged, they may try fixing it up and selling it but I'm sure no one wants a damaged car.

Hi, I had an appointment at Cannock this morning with the aim of coming away with the car that I had reserved for £99. I travelled over 100 miles by train to buy this car and When I arrived, I was shown the car by a very polite and knowledgeable representative of this company (although I’ve forgotten his name unfortunately), he was extremely positive and helpful.
Unfortunately, the car I was looking at buying had quite a lot of stone chips to the bonnet and then I noticed a 2 to 3 inch rip in the drivers seat - all of which wasn’t mentioned on the sales site. The manager came out and had a look, then explained to me that he could book it in but it would probably make it all look worse.
After showing the car to my wife via a video link, we decided that we would still buy the car and then once the paperwork was almost complete, I mentioned about the email I received (only this morning) with a £100 promotional discount from this company if I bought a car between Monday to Friday (Weekday100, Cannock site only)
The sales representative showed this to the manager who then refused to honour this stating that it had finished on the 15th September (again, I only received it this morning- 29th)!
I have spent £70 on a single train ticket to come for this car, I certainly wasn’t expecting to pay another £75 on another single train ticket home due to what I can only call ‘Greedy tactics’ on behalf of the Cannock manager!
Your company missed out on a sale of £18,300 this morning and if I said I was disappointed/disgusted with the above tactics, it would be an understatement! Just awaiting the news now that the fully refundable deposit probably won’t be coming back to my bank account!
Thank you (or at least the manager of that branch for wasting my day). Maybe things would’ve ended differently if I wasn’t a cash buyer, but we’ll never know now.
Ps, I gave the extra 2 stars for the guy I initially dealt with on site, I give zero stars for everything else
