Watch out Bristol airport travellers
Watch out travellers, Bristol airport continues to underperform. Pre booked and paid for multi-storey airport parking, got there and….” it’s full sir you cannot enter” You’ll have to use short stay. Any problems take it up with the airport. short stay carpark also full. 20 mins later after just driving round a full carpark, thé airport opens open more short stay spaces. Good luck finding a customer service agent/desk to avoid being charged twice. They don’t seem to exist. No number to ring just an online form with a 3 week response time.
Bristol silver zone parking- AVOID
Bristol silver zone parking was a terrible experience, on returning at 7pm, there was a massive queue of people waiting to get back to the parking and no buses showed for half an hour. Then another long queue to get our keys only to be told our car was not ready and we had to wait for another half hour to get the keys. The lady behind the desk encouraged us to scan the QR code to give feedback but even this was not working as it said it had reached its maximum for the month 🤣. When we returned to the car there was a new scratch to the front bumper. We didn't bother perusing this as a quick check on reviews showed that they disputed any damage claims and by this time we were just glad to get away. I would discourage anyone from using this service!!
Save yourself money and book a taxi !!
Arrived back at Silverzone in pouring rain, it took an age to retrieve my key, was sent to the wrong parking bay, eventually found my car only to find that the internal drivers side door handle had been broken, my fault for not reporting it there and then but it was now gone 2.00am in the morning we had been on the go for many hours and were tired, cold and soaked to the skin and just wanted to get home, really could not face going back to the chaos in the reception room, add to this the valet parker had scrawled some message on the yellow tag attached to my key about the issue with the handle so thought it was pretty safe to contact them once home, might have guessed really so no real surprise - they asked for pictures of both the broken handle and the scrawl on the fob but have dismissed any claim due to me not reporting it before i left the park. As you can see from many of the reviews on here, i am not alone in experiencing damage or just damn right neglect to my vehicle so please do yourselves a favour and consider a taxi or any means which saves you having to use Silverzone car park. I will never be coming back here !!!
Do not use this service
Do not use this service!
When we received our car back all the main controls had been altered. Our car is stop/ start with the button and does not need altering. The radio was playing at almost full volume, the main dashboard was completely different, the internal lights had been changed and a lot less petrol in it than we had to begin as it was a full tank. Absolutely appalled by this given that this is meant to be a trusted place to leave your vehicle.
Do not use this service if you care about your vehicle.
Turned up on Saturday when airport road…
Turned up on Saturday morning when airport road was closed was a nightmare trying to get into park and get to airport BUT I still made my flight the car park team went above and beyond to get me in to terminal … very well done amazing job thank you so much
Silver car park
Silver car park, Bristol absolute Shambles, after a long journey home had to then que then for half hour for key, 2 people sorting lengthy que out and quite a lot had lost their ticket or had a problem increasing waiting time, when I did get back to my vehicle, it was as if it had been in a rally, covered in mud on the one side. Will not be using again. Making a complaint about the condition of the car
Absolute shambles!!!
Absolute shambles!!!
Sent me and my pregnant partner out twice where we didn't find our car. On my return I asked can they check their data base to see where it is and they said, "our database is the hand written label. They they had to get someone to go out and find the car.
Needless to say caused a lot of stress for my pregnant partner after a long day.
How they can rely on handwriting for something as valuable as people personal vehicles is beyond me.
Horrendous dificulty for Blue Badge holder
I entered long stay car park (I was prebooked and paid for) only to stopped immediatelly by parking attendants, they explained that I must park at the rear of the car park because of construction work. I explained that I am a bluebadge holder and had difficulty walking, they then told me I would have to use the multi-storey carpark, I had trouble getting out of the long stay, stuck at the exit barrier had to call for assistance, explained to the operator that I what I had been told to do, operator was confused and asked me to wait which seemed like ages before the barrier went up with no explanation at all from the operator.
Drove up to the multi-storey carpark and entered with no problems. Walking to the terminal building we discovered that the route had be blocked by the constuction work and diverted which seemed like miles when you are disabled.
Same problem on our return miles to walk back from the terminal, not quite so bad on the way back to the carpark as it was all down hill. Drove to the exit barrier which would not open when ticket inserted again had to call for assistance, it took ages and ages for the operator to answer, had to explain all about be sent to this carpark, he then asked me to wait because he knew nothing about blue badge holders being sent to the multi-storey, eventually after 10 minutes he eventually opened the barrier and off we went.
Overall an horrendous experience, perhaps we should use another airport until construction has ended, unfortunately for us we booked another trip before we went through this experience and will have to go through it all again at Christmas
Don’t do it!
The process went well but my car was treated like a race car. On drop off the car and contents were fine. Dropped the keys as standard and on return, the drivers seat was so far back that there was no room in the back. It had been slammed back as my kids toy, hidden from sight under my seat as my kid was worried it would be stolen, was cracked and wedged so I could not move my seat without a significant amount of force. I know the cars are moved but my car records the fuel consumption as most do and it was so obvious the car has been driven fast around the car park, all my belongings in the boot were scattered and my motorcycle helmet was scratched from being bounced about the boot. This is a family estate car too so not a performance car by any means. This is not the first bad experience in Silver zone for me. Be aware of the drivers. Check your mileage, your fuel, and your wheels. They really don’t care about your car. I watched a driver race a car out of a space as I was leaving and I was shocked to see the lack of respect for the valuable car in question. This parking has cost me more than the booking fee, a replacement toy and visor for my lid. Don’t so it!
Stayed 4 days. Short stay. Mmmm...
Stayed 4 days, super expensive. Car park (short stay) basically a field with fences. Had to trawl around for ages to find a space. When it came to leave, you have to go the the pay meter first, then exit through the barriers. Even then, the gate did not recognise my registration and I had to press the call button, which was eventually answered after about 5mins and the guy put the barrier up to let me "escape"!
BTW, it's some distance from the terminal, not 5 mins!
AVOID Meet and Greet from Compare Parking Deals!…
We used Meet and Greet from Compare Parking Deals for Bristol airport parking. Reviews on their site - which I presume were all fake -were all 5*. Horrible experience. We were told to phone 40 mins before arrival but no one alswered for that whole time. Finally answered as we arrived, incomprehensible and rude voice told us to go to Short Stay, no further instructions. Once there we had no idea what to do. Eventually found a man - no ID, certainly no uniform - who seemed to know about us so we handed the car over to him with some anxiety. On return same rude voice on phone told us they would be 25-45 mins. Result - 25 minute wait in the cold. Car returned plastered in mud. Altogether utterly unprofessional - and utterly unlike the 'reviews' on their site. Impression was of a bunch of chancers pretending to be a proper service. No way of submitting a review on their site.
Building work is ongoing which means…
Building work is ongoing which means the short stay car park is not great currently. It is poorly lit and the cars are parked on loose hardcore which has spilled onto the walkways and my partner twisted his ankle on it straight away. There are no row or space numbers so impossible to note exactly where you park your car. This became a problem for us when we returned and our car wouldn't start so needed to call breakdown. I was lucky to find a member of staff at a paying machine who very kindly said he could bring a jump pack to start the car. He was very helpful but not sure what I would have done otherwise to let someone know we would be late leaving as no-one answered the phone that you can use if you require assistance and there was no obvious office to go to.
Cheapest Option £76.49 for 4 days!
The Parking procedure is absolutely fine. The transfers too and from the car park are horrendous. They ram as many people on the buses as they can and there is luggage everywhere. picking up your car is a lottery, if you are one of the first off the bus you will get your keys fairly quickly if not you will be in a long queue. Also lacking in customer service skills at the collection desk. Politeness and manners cost nothing. Finally the cost for parking at Bristol airport is outrageous even here at Silver Zone but it was the cheapest. I will be looking to fly from an alterative airport in future.
Silver parking
Silver parking, collected car from z weeks holiday, drove out of the car park, car flagged up tyre issue, rear tyre had a slash in side wall, it's run flat tyres so wasn't obvious in car park. I've sent many emails but all they keep saying it should of been reported before leaving.
Been told my complaint has been passed to manager for review but no response.
Cannot be trusted
Picked up my car last night and just like a number of other reviews my seat was moved to a reclining position and a number of the settings had been played with including putting on the air conditioning.
The check in and out is good but it needs someone in authority to supervise the moving of the cars as it appears to be youngsters fiddling with everything.
No signs of damage but obviously I have no idea how the car was driven when moved.
In the past when I picked up my car it was always as I left it but sadly that is no longer the case.
Bristol airport scammer
Went to pick my friend up at the new pick up zone areas! Signage were confused and got ticket from smirky gleaming teeth 🦷black guy in white van clicking pictures away ! If I receive parking fines I will see you in court Smirky face.. As it turn out there is NO PICK UP POINT but it tells you go there and you stuck overcrowded middle carpark with no pick up point!! Biggest airport scammer in the world !!!
Can't fault this service
Can't fault this service, we had no problems at all. Especially good for disabled parking. Checking in and out went so smoothly and not difficult at all. Really large car park and they are moving cars off site really quickly, so plenty of spaces. We booked online in advance and used a discount code which saved us quite a bit, happy days.
We read the reviews which aren't that good, but spoke to friends who had no problems so we booked.
Never leave your car there
Never leave your car there . They play with your car and race it all over . We going to police with the tracking information
Expensive
When holidaying I tend to fly from Bristol more often than not.
The last few times I've parked in the multi storey, which is easy and very convenient. Previously and not that long ago I was paying about £80, this year £120, but I've just booked for next year at a cost of £213 and that apparently was with 15% off. Absolutely mad prices and I guess from now on I will be looking to fly from my local airport instead.
Booked in advance but no spaces available
On 4/6/23, we paid £97.74 to park my car for 3 days in the short term parking area at Bristol Airport. We arrived at the due time (4pm) on 3/10/23 and simply could not find a car parking spot. We spent 45 minutes driving round in circles with half a dozen other cars also trying to find a spot. We then phoned the number on our booking sheet only for a woman to tell us that she could not help us and that we had to fill in an online form! With the time of our aircraft project getting closer and closer, we had no alternative other than to park in an unauthorised spot within the short term car parking area which meant that we spent the rest of our holiday worrying what we would find when we got back i.e. the car clamped or indeed towed away. It was an absolutely dreadful start to our city break. I would never again ever use the short term car parking area at Bristol airport because of the stress that it caused
