Awful customer service
Awful customer service. I have called several times and emailed without a response. I submitted my meter reading online, which has increased my monthly bill. This is understandable as we are home alot more at the moment. What isnt understandable is that my month hasn't reset. It currently states 2nd Jan to 8th Feb. This should of refreshed on 2nd Feb as per all my previous bills. At the moment the monthly bill just keeps increasing which means a huge bill for Feb. It would be useful if they bothered to respond so we know what is going on.

I have been trying to contact this…
I have been trying to contact this company for weeks. My elderly mother was switched to this company a year ago has not had a bill and they have not contacted her either. Finally get through to someone on Twitter but can not talk to me as I am not authorised on the account. I just want to get the final bill so I can switch her to a new company. At this rate there will be a huge bill that she can not afford to pay shocking customer service.

I signed up in March 2020.
I still haven’t got a bill, I pay an amount every month but this must be voted the worst company in uk.
Spend a lot of time on phone, send so many emails, had so many apologies and still nothing.
Good news, I’ve just been contacted to say my 12 month contract is almost up.
Unbelievable ????

Still waiting to pay Powershop some money
I bought my home in Sep 2020, it took me until Dec 22nd to finally get through to Powershop to take over the previous owners account. I lodged an official complaint because they never answered my emails. Even now I have told I couldn’t access my account on line until I had submitted 3 monthly meter readings. I wasn’t allowed to set up my direct debit then either. So at the moment I owe for electric and gas use from September, I accepted a tariff in December so at least I know what I should be charged. I have called many times to submit my meter readings but am always over 20th in the queue. I was with Eon at my previous property, so think I will go back to them and let them sort it out as they now own Powershop. Terrible trying to contact them.

Definitely the worst utility business I…
Definitely the worst utility business I have ever dealt with - and that's in 40 years of experience, across all sectors.
Following a lengthy and fraught debacle trying to get them to replace a broken meter in 2019, I was informed in July 2020 (almost a year later) that the day and night readings had been reversed when Powershop sent them to whatever body they are required to send such info to, so I was asked to send photos of my meter, which I did - but had still heard nothing by October, when I had to chase again. I was asked to do a 'kettle' test, send more photos, which I did, and since then, and despite a reminder, have heard nothing. I want to change providers, but of course cannot do so till this is sorted. Powershop is in no rush to sort - I wonder why.....
My advice - do not touch Powershop. I see that E.on are taking them over, so I probably wouldn't rush into using E.on either for now.....

Powershop appalling customer service
I know covid has caused problems but they can't use that as an excuse for their appalling customer service. I was 18th in the queue. If this is not bad enough, I waited for 1 hour 45 minutes to get an answer. I was the next person in the queue for 15 minutes, how can that be if they have a reasonable amount of staff. I spoke to a very nice lady who went to sort out my query after a few minutes the line went dead. I was thinking about changing supplier but this has decided me.

One of the worst suppliers
One of the worst suppliers. I left two months ago and I never received a final bill in that time. I spoke to their facebook team and they were rude and just kept saying 'this is not my department'. It took for me to raise a complaint for them to eventually send me a final bill. I work for an energy supplier and know how disgusting this is.

Good concept useful when it works…
Good concept useful when it works however I was informed by a manager if all super savers are purchased I would achieve the stated figure of 13.5p per unit, having purchased all the super savers I only achieved 15.3p per unit at best over a twelve month period. When I requested them to explain this they avoided answering the question. I have had several problems over two to three years unfortunately the call centre staff have always failed to answer my enquiries, basically it appeared they don’t know how the system works and always referred me to a manager to explain which often worked but if the staff aren’t sure then who’s to say what’s working correctly. Now after three years I’m told they are closing down this concept and joining e-on. I guess the concept wasn’t working very well after all, shame.

I really enjoyed powershop and buying the power packs in Advanced. Whenever I had a query I had no issues phoning up so I cant relate to the poor experiences some are saying.

Had the worst time with these people
Had the worst time with these people. Moved into a house and wanted to move from the previous owners supplier (Powershop). That was in October - I'm still trying to leave now. Promised calls back from them and they never do. Shockingly bad service. AVOID.
**UPDATE Still waiting for a call after supplying my details. Every time I call, it takes an hour or more on hold before you can talk to someone. I give up!

Avoid at all costs
I have paid approx £3000, £250 per month for the last year, the demands keep coming. This is crazy compared to previous suppliers. Rip off Britain, needs to be investigated by Ofgem for the service and tariffs - stay clear!

Falsehoods and threats.
Falsehoods and threats.
I have a case in the hands of the Energy Ombudsman to basically stop this company demanding monies that are not due.
The accounts dept. send regular collection threats and are now threatening to to add £25.00 'overdue' charges to the debt that does not exist.
The many of you out there that have had the same problem, please get the Energy Ombudsman involved. It is the only way companies like this will be stopped. Putting your case to the Ombudsman is simple and effective. PLease Please do it and bring this company to heel.

Long wait at customer phone line
I've just moved into a new property where the previous owner was using Powershop. Had to call powershop in order to register my details with them (no option to open an account online), waited on the line for an hour only to be hung up by them, then tried again, waited another hour and finally got to speak to them to open an account. Customer service is really not good, no wonder why I'm switching from them immediately.

Moved in to a flat which PowerShop were the electricity providers, and was charging the highest possible tariffs as I am a new customer. Waiting times are on average more than an hour every time I wanted to pay my bills or change my details. Ridiculous. Avoid at all costs

Worse than useless!
Speak on the phone, you will wait for an hour for an individual who does not understand their systems, cannot assist and will simply do nothing.
E-mail them and they simply do not reply, I am still waiting for a reply to messages sent on the 21st & 27th of October.
Now on the 9th December they sent me bills for May, June, July, August, September, October, November & December giving me 7 days to pay, threaten me with a debt management fee, debt collection action and ask me to contact them to sort it out! I nearly wet myself laughing.
I have been trying to sort this out all year and always offer to clear the account completely as soon as you send me one single piece of paper which you simply seem incapable of doing, take me to Court why don't you, I would love to embarrass you even more than is possible on the internet.
You are incapable of providing any customer service, the customer experience is more than a joke and if you actually have somebody who is trained in resolving the monumental problems that you create for yourselves, then get them to get in touch.
I am told that Facebook (not on it), Twitter (not on it) or Trustpilot are the only 3 mediums that this shambles monitor, let me see what happens to a post on here. Clocks ticking Powershop.................

Don't screw it up, Eon!
I really like this company's arrangement of prepaying for energy and I struggle to relate to the terrible reviews here and I'm not just talking about the horrendous spelling. I'm very concerned that new owners Eon will move away from the pack prepayment model. Can Kevin reassure me, please?

Very confusing and disorganised.
I left this company back in July and paid what I owed them. Today I got about 6 email invoices and my heart sank. I thought I'd paid. No, they owed me money - about £250, then as I progressed throughout the invoices it transpired they only owed me £3.65. I updated my payment method so they could actually pay back the price of 2 pints of milk, only to find out the cheeky buggers have taken £1 from me. I don't trust them. I would only recommend this company to my enemies.
