Poor Powershop, such a good company and now can't wait to leave
Like many others here I have been with Powershop for years, have always experienced excellent customer service and enjoyed saving on buying packages. Since Eon have come along it has all gone, all their hard work destroyed. I know I have pre-purchased electricity until August and yet this has disappeared from the App. I have sent messages through their website over the last week and haven't heard anything. I have just tried on the phone but have given up after an hour and seven minutes. I know we are in peculiar times but this is just unacceptable. Changing suppliers now. I was an Eon customer years ago and they were poor then, obviously nothing has changed. Such a shame for Powershop

Had a new gas meter fitted 16/9/2020 since then they have refused my Gas meter readings i submit monthly. Also demanded i send pictures of new meter and serial number done twice to-date but wont accept still. I have requested my large amount of credit on my account to be paid back 6 times via E-mail and twice by phone still no response. Hours to get through on phone and no action on E-mails a joke of a company.

Since Eon next has taken over Powershop you can not get through to them .
I have twice telephoned and been left hanging on for over 30 min but no reply sent them a number of messages on line and on twitter. I had paid up till the end of april it was all refunded then taken away and am now facing a further bill for £130 this month. They tell me I am using nearly £5 a day in electricity.WHAT IS GOING ON

I’ve been a loyal customer for 3 years & can’t say a bad word for Powershop team - always helpful customer service advisors & competitive rates to take control of your bills, but now they’ve got sold to E.ON & I can’t get through to them for few days, I asked for a call back, but nothing happened, my account seems to be frozen & I suspect there’ll be no powerpacks in the future, also I’ve had dreadful experience with E.ON previously therefore I see myself changing my provider in the near future. Truly sad as Powershop was a great company.

Like Jonny Berry down below I'm having the exact same issues since the E.ON handover. I was very happy with Powershop's power pack model, and I received no formal notification about the switch until I had already been switched, now I need to ask some basic questions about my account and billing, I've been unable to get them on the phone for two days. If this is a taste of things to come under E.ON, I'm GONE.

Powershop and E.ON
Has anyone else been disappointed by the way that Powershop has treated, (some of), its customers during the take-over E.O..
I have been with Powershop, previously part of nPower, for more than 2 years and I have to say that their model of buying energy, as much or as little as you want, using their Powerpacks, suited me down to earth! The website was excellent and all the information regarding prices, usage, etc. was easily available. Their Customer Service was good, but fell away in the last few months...probably due to the pandemic.
I only found out about the takeover by E.ON when it was mentioned on another forum some time ago. No official contact at all from Powershop, except when I logged onto my account a few days ago and read: “Welcome! We have moved you to Powershop Lite.” I believe that translates into more expensive tariffs, even though my current ones don’t expire until October.
All the credit that I had built up by buying Powerpacks has now been refunded which means, I think, that I can’t purchase energy at their current prices. The Customer Service is virtually non-existent. I called them yesterday, and literally spent 51 minutes waiting for a response. Not even a recorded message to say that “my call will be answered soon.” I sent a (polite) online message of complaint today. Following my earlier experience I don’t have great hopes of a positive response.
If this is the way that E.ON treat its new customers, then I can’t see me staying with them too long, I’m afraid. However, I will see what they have to offer, and if they have a similar purchasing model to Powershop at similar prices, then I am prepared to give them a try.
Has anyone else, who is with Powershop, had my experiences?

Be aware of this company
Be aware of this company. They just want to steal your money !!! I will be contacting Ofgem as they didn’t let us out of the contract . We used to pay £60 a month and they increased our bills to £300 per month . They are disgusting!

Utterly appalling call centre…
Utterly appalling call centre arrangements. Typically I have to wait an hour to get my call answered. Today, I was on hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes to provide an updated meter reading and pay my bill. As soon as the call was answered, it was instantly cut off. This kind of incompetence is not going to retain any customers.

If you value your hard earning money stay away
This is a dishonest company I am surprise they are still in the business. They will give you unbelievable estimated meter reading then you'll end up paying for what you don't use. They will rip you off stay away from them.

We have been with Powershop for a…
We have been with Powershop for a number of years and have NEVER had a problem. We've submitted a meter read each week and bought all special packs and power packs which kept the electric costs down. Saved credits take us through the winter months. Now PS is merging with E.on Next we can't get any answers to queries and NO-ONE is answering phone calls (we have always had good response from very helpful receptionists). We need to know if E.on Next will honour PS "special packs" rates or will we be charged at PS "baseline energy" rates. Once with E.on our monthly bill will increase by £14. We are running our credit down before the merger takes place.

The end of an era in the supply of enegy
I’ve been a Powershop user since October 2018.
I’ve found PS to be among the cheapest energy suppliers in the UK. I have only twice needed to call customer services, and on both occasions I got through within three or four minutes and spoke to a knowledgeable and helpful agent. I was given useful information that answered my queries.
It’s true that you have to do a bit of legwork reading your meter every two weeks or so, and going on the PS website every four or five days to buy cheap packages of energy is a bit of an inconvenience, but you can’t expect everything to be given to you on a plate.
And remember there are no exit fees.
I am a bit apprehensive about E.ON Next which will take over the running of Powershop. As one of the big six I will be surprised if they can equal the value for money that the old PS gave.
Update12.3.2021: the excellent customer services desk at PS has set my mind at rest about the exit fees: there will be none after E.ON next takes over.(Thanks for the info, Kevin at PS Cust Svcs.) E.ON Next has its own tab on the E.ON website so you can go there for more info and get a quote. The energy sold by E.ON Next will be 100% from renewable sources. Very laudable, and also quite competitive as a renewable compared to the fossil-burning competition.
For me 4,200 kWh elect pa + 14,800 kWh gas pa would go up from the current £1,130-ish pa to about £1,360-ish pa.
It would be in a good cause. But £230 pa extra . . .
Will I stay or will I go?

A complete rip off
A complete rip off, a proper scam. I can't understand how company like this one are still permitted to exist. Customer service is completely useless, had to wait for over an hour on the phone and the operators are unable to help. Their new power packages are nothing less than an extorsion. Buy power for 3/5/8 days?? Who does that?? Their social media 'support' on facebook and twitter are completely useless too. Zero support and costs extremely high, had to pay over £200 for 2 months of electricity only on a 1 bedroom flat. STAY AWAY OR LEAVE THEM ASAP

not one for the lazy brits
I can't comment on customer service as I have never had to use it since joining in 2017 and I am sorry e'on have bought it as this will mean higher prices for me after the transition
It's a hands on account with the cheapest electricity around
you do need to do some work to reap the benefits and that's why it doesn't work for many of the lazy brits moaning here😊
