Wall to wall guarantee is a lie!

Awful experience with sky broadband. We signed up for the ultrafast package that has “Wall to wall Wi-Fi guarantee”. Sadly we don’t get Wi-Fi signal in two rooms of the house. I therefore called up asking for an engineer to come round, only to be told by a very rude man called Daffyd from retentions that the wall to wall guarantee only means you get guaranteed minimum speed (which admitted we do when next to the router). I asked what the wall to wall bit pertained to- which he just kept repeating the bit about the guaranteed minimum speeds. I said technically we have zero speed in two rooms of the house, but he just kept trying to charge me an extra £6 per month for the booster package. I therefore said I wanted to cancel under the terms of the guarantee, for which he said there would be an early termination fee. Sky is really going downhill and turning into a blatant money grab. I would avoid

Terrible home delivery service

We have a 3 month old baby so have been shopping online recently for convenience. Our delivery was scheduled for this morning at 7:30, but received a txt message at 7:45 stating the payment didn’t go through (even though there were sufficient funds in the account). We spoke to someone called Alison who had an extremely rude, computer says no attitude, and informed us that the driver had already missed the delivery and wouldn’t be able to turn back. Additionally there were no further delivery slots available this weekend. We were left with no choice but to cancel the order. Very disappointing service

Really letting it slip…

I’ve been a huge fan of Sonos products over the years but things really seem to be slipping. I recently purchased an Arc to replace my Beam. Out of the box it would not connect to the app. After lots of going round the houses with tech support, they informed me it was defective and would need to be replaced. The options- send it back and then they’ll send you a replacement. Or be charged for a new one which they will then refund to you. Both options are inconvenient. Making time to go to the post office in itself is difficult when you’re busy at work. And I certainly don’t want to be charged twice for what is a very expensive product. For the price a courier should be sent to collect and swap it for a working one. Not impressed

Shockingly bad customer service

Shockingly bad customer service. Constantly directed to the chat which supposedly allows you to do everything you can do by speaking to someone. It doesn’t. They then direct you to verify your identity through the app. But then won’t let you take it any further without calling up and speaking to someone. You then spend 40 minutes on hold. Only for them to continually cut you off. Avoid

Absolute joke

I’ve always used Parcel Force for valuable items believing their higher prices to be worth it for peace of mind should in the event of goods being lost or damaged. Sadly this opinion has now changed. I sold a coffee machine on eBay at the end of December. It arrived with damaged packaging and a huge dent in side of the machine. I filled out a claim form accordingly on their website which I found very hard to use/navigate, and it also kept on crashing. They asked for photos of the damage which I provided, and also for a questionnaire to be filled out the recipient. Both were done promptly. A month goes by before they asked for more pictures of the damaged packaging. I am unsure why they did not request this straight away, and I suspect this is an attempt to void the claim as most people would have discarded the packaging by this point (kudos to the recipient for taking photos of the packaging as well). Not wanting to ruin my feedback, I have been forced to issue a refund to the seller, so I am short £160 plus the £25 I paid for shipping nearly two months down the line. People slate Hermes but at least their claims process is quick and relatively hassle free. I would avoid using Parcel Force from now on

Criminals plain and simple

These reviews are just laughable and almost certainly most are from bots. Hermes are straight up criminals. I’ve had a number of things delivered and most are opened so someone can have a look to see what’s inside and if it’s worth pinching. A number of items that pass the eBay test don’t arrive at all. And they’ve also “damaged beyond repair” a set of golf irons I sold on eBay. How exactly you can manage this is quite impressive. Obviously posty fancied them. DO NOT USE unless you want your items to get pinched

STOP USING HERMES

Not really a review for the shop itself. More for them using Hermes delivery which is without a doubt the most criminal of all delivery services. I have ordered 3 items over the past few months from them. 2 of them had been opened enough to see what was inside. The third item never arrived at all despite saying it had been delivered. I guess that’s the one the postie likes the look of the most. Come on Zara stop cheaping out and use a decent delivery

If it seems too good to be true- it is

Horrendous!! When we switched everything was great. Cheap prices as we were led to believe from these reviews, and statements every month. And so I stopped checking the statements (as you would). Today I have received a bill for over £2,000. And upon checking I note that they haven’t given me a statement since 04/2020. I’m now left facing having to pay this enourmous bill in one go as we are moving house. Definitely one to avoid at all costs.

Oh my!! I really should have read the reviews before signing up! The complaints about customer service are 100% warranted. Website is useless for trying to get things done. Always coming up with error messages. So you call them to be held in an automatic choice loop for ages. Only to then be told to check the website!! Maddening! O2 you need to seriously sort this

It’s great. Until you have a problem

Long time eBay user here. I joined in 2009 and had never had a problem. But recently I sold a golf club and, although the buyer left positive feedback, later discovered some damage on the club which resulted from using the Global Shipping Programme. As I have always prided myself on honestly and customer satisfaction, I still offered him a refund as I was under the impression I would be protected from damage in transit by the GSP.
There the problems start. Firstly their website is a nightmare to navigate if you problem does not fit nicely into their troubleshooting categories. Secondly it is next to impossible to find a means of speaking to someone directly. So I was led around and around in circles on their website until it led me to inadvertently cancel the order. Which obviously I did not want to do.
So I emailed someone immediately stating this was made in error. And heard nothing in return.
So the following day, after no reply to my email, I managed to find a call me back function on the website. Here I spoke to a very rude and unhelpful gentleman who basically told me it was my tough luck and I would not stand a chance of getting my money back.
So I resorted to their Facebook messenger service. Where if you leave it more than 10 minutes or so to reply, they seem to forget the whole message string and start again from scratch. Aaaargh I’m literally tearing my hair out at this point.
So now I have a golf club damaged by their GSP and PayPal has issued a full refund against my wishes. And to make matters worse the buyer has not yet returned the club.
What happened, eBay?! You’ve really lost your way and are now focussed solely on the dollar. For that reason I’m now deactivating my account, and will use you no more going forward. I think many others should do the same

I’m a little surprised by the negative reviews of late. We’re in the middle of a pandemic and it’s no surprise they’re running a bit behind with shipping times. That said- I had a Sony 24 1.4 GM delivered within a week. I’ve also bought an a7iii, 55 1.8 ZA and an 85 1.4 GM from them and have been amazed at the great service and quick delivery. I would wholeheartedly recommend

Oh my god

Oh my god. I have only just seen the reviews for hedgehoginsurance.com as they have cleverly changed their name on here to cute little hedgehogs. And my experience has been every bit as bad as the other reviews. It seems easy -and cheap- to get insured by them, but as soon as you sign the policy they hit you with increase premiums due to minor details. Mine went up by £56 which they were demanding was paid immediately the prevent the policy being terminated. Which obviously in the current COVID19 crisis I just don’t have. I solute my disgusting. Just don’t use them

I give up

Absolutely shocking service. I had a creatista machine for two years which developed a fault whereby it started leaking and would no longer froth the milk. I was on hold for over 30 minutes trying steps to rectify it. When that didn’t work they said they would collect it for repair. But they only collect between 9-5 Monday-Friday. So I take a day off work to wait in for the courier to collect that machine. Off it went and we received it two weeks later. Still just as bad if not worse than before.
So again I was on hold for another 30 minutes going through the same troubleshooting process. Again no better. Again they arrange to collect it. And again I had to take another day off work to be in for the courier. Again no machine for a few weeks and again it returned- this time slightly better but still leaking.
So I call them again to complain. This time they agree to send a new machine out. Which to make matters worse doesn’t even make coffee let alone froth milk??
I’ve tried twice since then trying to return it and on each occasion now they say I haven’t been in when I have! That’s it I give up on Nespresso. Nice coffee but not worth the hassle

Shame I have to leave one star. Absolutely as bad as these reviews suggest. They claim to send bills in the post (none received) then add on 50 quid and threaten legal action with their first correspondence. I honestly don’t know how they’re allowed to get away with it

It’s great. Until you need to make a claim

Dare I say I was sucked in by the reasonable premiums. I insured my equipment along with added protection for my tablet. I use this for my business and so is essential to my workflow. Unfortunately I then dropped my iPad and the screen was smashed. I spoke to an agent who said if I could send them photos of the damage together with a quote for the repair they would honour the claim. So I took it to the Genius Bar who unfortunately said it could not be repaired and would need to be replaced. I forwarded this onto them, and heard nothing back. As I need the iPad for work, I had no choice but to pay to have it replaced.
I then hear from them two weeks later saying one of their team would need to personally inspect the damage. I said this was not possible as it had already been replaced (again forwarded them receipts for work carried out). Apparently because of this they would not reimburse the money.
They are dealing with my complaint with a time frame of 8 weeks to reply.
Altogether very poor service employing delaying and diversionary tactics. I will be cancelling my policy.
