It’s great. Until you need to make a claim
Dare I say I was sucked in by the reasonable premiums. I insured my equipment along with added protection for my tablet. I use this for my business and so is essential to my workflow. Unfortunately I then dropped my iPad and the screen was smashed. I spoke to an agent who said if I could send them photos of the damage together with a quote for the repair they would honour the claim. So I took it to the Genius Bar who unfortunately said it could not be repaired and would need to be replaced. I forwarded this onto them, and heard nothing back. As I need the iPad for work, I had no choice but to pay to have it replaced.
I then hear from them two weeks later saying one of their team would need to personally inspect the damage. I said this was not possible as it had already been replaced (again forwarded them receipts for work carried out). Apparently because of this they would not reimburse the money.
They are dealing with my complaint with a time frame of 8 weeks to reply.
Altogether very poor service employing delaying and diversionary tactics. I will be cancelling my policy.
