Scrappy sofa with lot of scratches…
Scrappy sofa with lot of scratches after use of 1 year.
I have had a very long conversation about 1 year fight them to resolve this issues and they have asked to deal with Castelan, both are playing ping pong with no service. Now website doesn't work, no one responds to your email or call. Any help is really appreciated, I have paid 1200 for sofa and 450 for insurance but in the end this is what I get.
Unhappy with service
I'm only giving one as I can't score lower. Suite ordered in Feb 2020 and with covid and administration I wasn't too worried it would take longer. I received a text on 12 October with the delivery date of 2 weeks later. The next day I get a call to say I had to pay outstanding balance even although it was ordered on interest free credit. Order cancelled as I couldn't afford the £1500 upfront and I'm still waiting on my deposit being refunded. I've tried to telephone this morning and message saying "You've dialled incorrect number"! What is going on?

I had a fun experience at Harvey's today. Was able to choose from a variety of chairs, sofas and other basic furniture needed in my new home. Thank you to the lady who accommodated and took care of me. Happy customer here.

I have had 2 big sofas for 2 years. My husband and I only use these couches. Each of them is lying on a separate sofa and one of them has a sponge on the seat. 3 years of insurance against each damage and you cannot get through. Defeat !

Ordered 2 sofas and table in Feb20 paying deposit and the rest on finance .As expected delayed by COVID and then administration.Phoned in August to cancel after reading reviews and offers sizeable discount which was accepted. Messaged last week with delivery date and all items arrived as expected.I contacted customer services several times and always got through and found them helpful granted there were at times a fair wait.Really happy with items and now waiting for see if agreed discount will be passed onto finance company as advices this would be activated on delivery.
Wouldn’t waste your money or time on the company
I ordered my 3 seater, 2 seater Sofa and matching footstool earlier in the year, COVID happened and caused a delay in my delivery ( which I expected ) however, on delivery Day I advised the drivers to take my purchase through our carport and through the double doors straight into my dining room. Both delivery men declined my opinion on this and continued to go through my front door and my kitchen door to take it into my dining room I explained again that it would be much easier to go through the double doors but again Harvey’s delivery men refused and continued to take my sofas through the front door. Once inside they break a rare collectible Disney item and didn’t even apologise for the breakages
I then checked my sofas over and realised the feet on majority of the sofas and footstool were damaged, I rang straight away to Harvey’s customer services to be told I would be sent a £50 cheque for the breakages and sent out new feet for my damages ones this would take around 10 weeks due to Covid. I rang a few months later to enquire about my cheque and new feet and was told they would be with me soon as there’s a delay again due to Covid. I ring again today 5 months from when I received my sofa to enquire about my sofa feet and £50 cheque for the damage of the Disney item to be told there’s nothing Harvey’s can do due to administration and they no longer make the sofa feet - I informed the lady on the phone how shocking I think Harvey’s is and the company should no longer be trading if they can not support customers with faults that they have made - I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT TO PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HARVEYS AS THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS AND REFUSE TO HELP WITH DAMAGES/ FAULTS THEY HAVE MADE
Don’t give up.
We ordered our sofa in January and after reading all the bad reviews had almost given up hope of seeing the sofa. Last week we received a call giving us a delivery date of one week. Today the sofa arrived. It was unpacked and assembled by the delivery guys and was everything we expected. So to people still waiting, don’t give up.

Some hope for people who are looking for a refund - we ordered and paid a deposit for a sofa in March 2020, just before lockdown, and after many promises of delivery I finally asked for cancellation and a refund in September and they admitted it wasn’t even being made yet due to ‘Covid backlogs’ in China. When I asked how the refund process worked they said that someone would phone me to arrange the refund within 30 days. No surprises that the 30 days came and went, but when I rang back a few days after the 30 days, a refund was arranged and in my account within 5 working days.
There are only a few people left on the customer services team so they really are thin on the ground. You need to stick with it and phone the customer services number at 9am, or you get stuck in ridiculous queues. I was sceptical that I’d see any of our money again so I guess one star is appropriate!

1 star they don't deserve! Sofa ordered and paid for in full January totalling £4100. Emails, calls, visits to the store, nothing but empty promises and lies from both harveys and Bensons for beds who are supposedly honouring orders (again lies!)😡. Sitting on the floor with 2 small children after getting rid of old sofa when a delivery date was promised. Only to then be told they don't even have the sofa its not even in the country as suppliers are over seas🤦♀️. Even if the sofa arrived tomorrow I'm at the point where looking at it would only remind me of the stress this whole situation has caused. Greedy, thieving scum! Taking peoples hard earned money to not even an honest response in return. A hard lesson learned if nothing else.

Giving everyone heads up on this topic I had trouble getting my money back but got ther in the end took 30 days to get my refund, if you get in touch with the Administrators they will refund your money within 30, be patient you will get your money back as I did and didn’t think was getting it back, then went and bought a big leather corner recliner sofa out of Argos delivered within 2 weeks, hope this helps people, you will get your money back trust me

I put a deposit on a set of bunk beds on August 23rd, I was told delivery would be 1 month, then I was phoned to say it would take another month. I agreed to this and I then got a phone call last Saturday after 8 weeks to tell it was ready for collection. I drove to Harvey Norman and paid the balance of my bill only to discover the beds weren't there after I had paid in full. When I questioned this I was told that I was to pay and they would then be delivered to their store which was not what I was told on the phone earlier that day. I asked as a gesture for the misinformation and inconvenience of travelling over that morning would they deliver the bunk beds just 6 miles free of charge to which they responded Absolutely No Way. Having shopped in this store since they opened in Ireland I am disgusted with level of customer service I experienced and as awarning to all when they ring you to tell you your items are ready get them to reconfirm that the information is correct. Needless to say I won't be shopping in this store again nor my family.
Horrendous service and ridiculous delays
My partner and I ordered a table and chairs in May when we purchase our first property together. We have not had any progress since then. We paid in full for the table and chairs and have repeatedly chased bensons for beds for an update. We have been advised that the supplier is in China and they do not have an email address or phone number nor do they have any clue when it will arrive. We email every 2 weeks and are no further forward. We have nothing to sit and eat on as cant afford another table. We paid £800 for the table and chairs and so expected a decent service. We don’t know what we can even do at this point and are extremely frustrated by the whole thing. At this rate we won’t have a table to eat on at Christmas!!

There’s only one star not no stars- ordered two x 3 seater sofas from Harvey’s after many emails Panther turned up with 2 x large boxes on Thursday , had only 10 mins to drop and knew nothing I didn’t even sign for them - turns out it’s 1 of my 3 seater sofas - I now have 1x 3 seater sofa and all I keep getting is send an email - someone has swiped my order or it’s been given to somebody else ! A complete joke

Similar to everyone else here. 10 months after fully paid for sofa and now they say its 'gone missing' ! yet they were able to locate it back in February in warehouse and only a 2 seater needed reordered as was damaged (hence the wait from China for it) 1500 fully paid in January 2020. They took my money and now they say that 4 pieces of corner sofa either were never available or 'GOT LOST' in the warehouse. Total disgrace. When I questioned that all orders placed before June 2020 were promised to be honoured, they said this is no longer the case. And little discount given on the remaining available item. Which to be fair is pretty useless and only reason we are still going to take it as we already have part of the sofa in another room and can be kept as spare pieces. Disgusting behaviour. Take your money from you and run away with it. Also not to mention they never contacted me. I have been ringing so many times 30 plus calls to get updates etc since March. Oh and never a reply to any emails!!!! Not a bit of wonder they went out of business. Good riddens and stop wasting peoples time, effort, money and emotions Harveys GOODBYE .

Similar to previous reviews - we ordered back at the start of March. Once I had seen they had gone into administration, I contacted them to confirm our order would go ahead.
Several emails and several chasers - each time told it would be delivered. I was then told around 5th October to expect to be contacted with regards to delivery within 14 days. Today (15th October), I received an email to advise our order is cancelled and cannot be fulfillled!
All these months with assurances and I have now disposed of my old sofa for them to tell me we won't receive our order is beyond astounding.
I have asked how we escalate our complaint but I don't expect to hear anything back - in all my years, I have never had an experience anywhere near so bad.

I ordered 2x2 seater suites in March they were due to be delivered end of July I assumed because of covid there would be some delay but still waiting went to the shop twice told 2 different dates still no suites arrived no communication from Harvey’s except 1 email saying they would look into the problem the problem is I don’t have my new suites it’s disgusting behaviour.

I ordered and paid for a 3 piece suite from Harveys , in February this year. Delivery was to be in June, but, no sign of it. To cut a long story short, the suite WAS delivered on Saturday 10 October. I thought I'd lost my money when Harveys went into administration.
