Everything was really simple, Nigel was really helpful, friendly and gave us lots of options. We are really happy with the blinds and the fitting.

Oh where to start!!!!!

Oh where to start!!!!!
We ordered a sofa in 2019, it broke a day later. Homeserve came out and restitched, 2 days later it broke again. Sofa had been damaged in transit, Harvey's refused refund. Said we could order another sofa, we did and paid the difference £278. Covid then hit and then they went into administration. 1 plus year of constant calls and emails with them promising it will turn up to be told last week after i emailed order has been cancelled.
They have refunded £278, but we are now stuck with a faulty sofa that we are still paying for on credit. Administrators are unable to help. We paid extra for cover if anything went wrong, so lost money there too. Been the most horrific stressing experience. Now no clue what to do with this sofa as still paying for it. Not even able to buy a new sofa as still paying for this one.

Harvey’s/ Bensons for Beds Ripp off

Harvey’s & Bensons are owned by the same company! Apparently it’s legal a company can go into administration and and then trade under a different name!! The company Alteri Investors kept Bensons and put Harvey’s up for administration. Alteri investors is not in financial difficulty, yet they won’t refund people’s money they have ripped off! I will be contact trading standards.

the saga still continues

the saga still continues, Harveys have now rang me 7 times in the last three months to give a refund, but somehow they are trying to refund the wrong amount i paid
every time they say sorry will ring back in 15 mins and get this sorted, quest what no phone calls, i have now emailed 3 times since December with copies of invoice and finance agreement still no response, other than that emailed everyone gets saying they will be in touch within 5 working days, they must only work 1 day a week, all this saga started in Jan 2020. complete waste of time, i am not sitting on the end of a phone for them to waste my time and money as well further.

This is an update from a previous review but regardless still a disaster. We eventually did receive our sofa after being told it was cancelled and also telling them to cancel the order, panther logistics sent a text that they were delivering the next day and to be fair they did and all is well. But this doesnt change the fact the communication has been awful given its sister company bensons can fully operate and waiting 1 year for our furniture is a joke even though of the current situation.

Total ripoffs

Ordered a mirror before Christmas from this company which never arrived costomer service said it must have been misplaced by currier which can happen so I gave them the benefit of the doubt when they said they would send another.... This never arrived either and no more contact from costomer service.. I've gotten many items online with no problems this company is the first major letdown... I 100% would not recommend them to anyone

Don’t deserve any stars!

Don’t deserve any stars!! Waited a year for my suite, got delivered yesterday, received 2 left sides of the sofa!! I also got told that the supplier ordered this and that’s all I was getting!! Rats! Bensons for Beds are the sister company and bought the order books. I am in contact with a solicitor! I ain’t letting this go and we have rights!

Absolute Joke

I too would be given them a 0 if this was possible. Just wondering if anyone had the other half of my settee out there ! Ordered last March, heard nothing for months on end and being fobbed off by the customer service team. Had a phone call at the beginning of December to say my sofa would be delivered the following day, all well and good but we ordered two three seaters and one half of each was delivered, and both the left had side so couldn't even make a complete sofa. That was three weeks ago and we kept being told that they were looking into it. Gave up and phoned them again this week to be told that we had all that we were due, hmmm two halves a sofa, well great. We sort of laughed at first, but now not funny and have asked them to collect the two sofa halves. So if anyone out there has two right hand sides of a grey leather sofa, do let me know!

Again I wish I had an option to give a zero rating!!

After my previous review I received information from Harvey’s via trust pilot that they were unhappy with the comments I had made and requested my phone number to take this further and receive more infomation. I willingly supplied them with my contact details and surprise surprise to date no contact thanks again Harvey’s for NOTHING!
Also per consumer advice recorded delivery letters sent to the ADMINSTRATORS AND HARVEYS AND you guessed it no reply
Also contacted creation finance and as usual no help other than advising unable to cancel finance agreement

Section 75 - Full Refund

We purchased a leather suite that had a lot of problems with the frame and cushion interiors. Harveys did send there own technician out who agreed with what we had said but then wrote a report out that there was nothing wrong with the suite. We contacted Hitachi Finance and was advised to open a section 75. We was then advised to employ our own Furniture Technician to provide an independent furniture report.
We contacted Barrdale Furniture Inspections who was absolutely fantastic. We received our full refund last week.

Ordered a corner sofa in March 2020 and…

Ordered a corner sofa in March 2020 and was told they would be delivered in July. Expected delays due to covid and finally got a text in September to advise delivery would be last week of October. Still nothing. I have called numerous times and now found out the containers are being bought into Panther Logistics in Northampton. 1 container a week and once those are delivered the next container comes in.... we have no idea where we are in the queue and fairly worried given everyone else's reviews of water damage and half made sofas.

Probably the worst customer service…

Probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Sofa was delivered incomplete and unusable. Took over six months before we got the missing piece delivered and only then because I found out a way to contact one of the directors in person.

Very poor service all round.

Received my new sofas on the 5th attempt !!!! previously two were delivered damaged then the next two weren’t even taken off back of the wagon. The driver said he wasn’t unloading them due to water damage . I’ve accepted the 5th delivery but not 100% happy with them . Complained & was palmed off with a load off lies . Tried phoning customer services to complain & now told they’re in administration. Sofa’s weren’t cheap but feel ripped off !!!

Did I get a scam call ?

Did I get a scam call ?? 🤔
I received a call (9.12.20) from a private with held number. A man knew my name & said he was ringing from Harvey's Furniture regarding 2 reclining chairs I left a deposit on back in December 2019, (this was correct) and could I give him my full name & address with postcode, I was hesitant regarding my postcode and said I wouldn't give it as I didn't know if this was a genuine call. He said if I didn't give it he would end the call and I would have to speak to head office, so I gave it.
He then asked if I still wanted the furniture I had originally ordered, to which I said I did. He then says I'll arrange a delivery date now but you will have to pay the balance before they are deliver them. I said, '' I hope you are not gonna ask me to pay for them now, he says ''yes, you'll need to pay with a card today ! "
My reaction was....Are you for real, you've cold called me, you've with held your number, I haven't a clue who you are and you want me to pay you hundreds of pounds, you could be an ex employee who's pick up my invoice & I could be paying into your own personal bank account, do you think I'm an idiot ?..... f-ing get lost & I hung up !!!
Now all the way through this year up until June, I've received emails from Harvey's informing me of the delay of my order due to corona and the delay in the shipment coming from China so if this was a genuine call surely I would of received an email not a cold unprofessional call like this ?? 🤨

Ordered two sofas in March

Ordered two sofas in March, due for delivery in July. Finally got a delivery date in mid November. Delivery arrived it was only the left halves of two sofas. They have admitted they cannot be find the other halves so waiting on them collecting the furniture halves so I can get a refund 😡😡😡😡

Excellent quality

Excellent quality. Good looking sofabed and easv to pull out when needed. Plenty of choice of materials and colours. Delivered to a room of our choice. When not in use it's a smart piece of furniture, comfortable to sit on.
