I had a deeply disappointing experience with Folksam. After being robbed and losing a significant amount of gold, my family and I were treated as if we were criminals. The process was stressful and degrading, compounded by the clear bias we faced due to our foreign background. Instead of receiving support during a difficult time, we were met with suspicion and unfair treatment. It's disheartening to see an insurance company, which is supposed to provide peace of mind, act in such an unprofessional and discriminatory manner. I would not recommend Folksam to anyone, especially those from diverse backgrounds. Their approach is not only unfair but also unjust.

Water leak in the ceiling. Called emergency number and they told me to call back on monday unless it got worse during the weekend. Water dripping from the ceiling inside and we dont find the source. It dripped for some 30 min then nothing but clear we have an active leak.
Tried to call back monday and their phone system is a joke. No estimate just ”many people are calling right now” and takes hours then suddenly cutting connection and you are expected to call back and start from last in line again.
Finally got through and was told I had to figure out myself what to do and who to call as they first need to know if its something covered by our insurance. Why were we not told that the first time we called?
We have 4 weeks waiting time for anyone to come check based on the calls Ive made.
This insurance company is a joke and they have a lousy customer service and approach.

I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Fol and I can't say enough good things about my experience. From start to finish, their customer service was exceptional.
When I needed to file a claim, the process was incredibly smooth and stress-free. They handled everything with such efficiency and professionalism, making sure I was kept in the loop every step of the way. The claim was processed quickly, and I received my payout without any hassle.

For big package home insurance If you lost your keys and if it's not showing your name and adress on it they don't gonna help you at all
Also telefon line is totally catastrophe
Waiting time take over more then 1 hour and suddenly cutting connection and you should call back again
After all they open and close again and again until you get crazy for service

The worst insurance company. After reporting the damage, it was very difficult to contact the people responsible for my case. In fact, my case was constantly transferred to other people. No contact with the current responsible person. I do not recommend! Apart from all the stress associated with the damage, it is now even greater because the insurance company does not treat the client well.

Folksam did not pay the examination fee for the damaged good as they promised on the first contact. I am still trying to reach someone about the case, but they do not even relpy my massages. I am planning to end my contract and make an official complaint about the case.

First of all, it’s impossible to reach out to them!! I’ve been calling from the early morning and they answered me just now (it’s 4 pm). Crazy!!!
Second of all, it was an accident at my house and they refused to pay the right amount of money. It’s supposed to be x amount of money and they only said they can pay half of that price. It won’t even cover the materials!
I’ve been completely robbed. I’m paying lots of money for this insurance, they won’t respond to any of my emails, they won’t pick up my phone, they won’t pay the money and it’s been almost a year!
I definitely don’t recommend this insurance. The most horrible experience.

I've always had a positive view of Folksam until we had a water leak in our bathroom. Folksam failed to handle it in a reasonable way. The entire thing took over our life for half a year.
* They hired a company that took months to remove the old bathroom. This should take no more than a couple weeks. The subcontractor offered "svartarbete" for additional work. We didn't think Folksam took this seriously at all.
* The agent didn't speak English so I had to constantly get help.
* We would call the assigned company 5 times and they wouldn't answer or call back. They said they only call back if you leave a message. It's like some game to get them to show up. When we realized months had passed and nothing was happening, we asked Folksam to switch build companies, they refused. So we had to take a payout instead and hire our own workers, costing us a lot more than if Folksam provided a reasonable builder.
* Folksam admitted they don't use the assigned builders that often and it showed because their cost estimates were completely wrong. The initial payout was missing roughly 100 000 sek of damages and we had to spent tons of hours correcting all their mistakes.
* Getting a clear answer from Folksam on anything was super difficult. Why can't they answer basic questions about the claim?
You have insurance for these difficult moments in life and Folksam completely failed.

Cannot recommend. One year after damage to a car, the amount has not been paid out and case not finished. The Worst insurance company I have ever seen. Can recommend to avoid and use a serious and honest insurance for cars and everything. If you Email Them, it takes months with no reply. It is so bad it is not even a security to have insurance with Them. 0 stars.
