Im better off today than I was yesterday.
I started my converesation by making the person aware i have seen some really bad reviews about them and I was not looking to be passed pillar to post only to be told my option were IVA/DRO/Bankruptcy. These are very extreme and for someone like me who has debt but also a steady income and no more than 3 missed payments in a row (meaning my lenders have never had to escalate my situation to a Court or worse) I can actually afford to clear all my debts myself but I wanted a more manageable way to do this or, preferable a loan to pay them off myself immediatley. I have 12 different lenders including credit cards and this can be difficult to manage sometimes. Anyway, I mentioned this to the person on the line and he was very understanding and tried to be personable and it was not like he was reading off a script although im sure there are guidlines. We went through all my lenders, what is owed and what i pay them each month, then conducted a soft credit search which determines whether or not I would have been elgible for a loan. I am not delusion about the amount of missed payments I have over the last few years and therfore knew it would be a long shot to get the loan (was not granted). I was then passed through a company call DFH who ultimately put me on DMP and I was happy to do it after going through my affordability. They will speak to all 12 of my lenders on my behalf, stop the interest on these (which is the main thing that has kept me down all these years) and further more all the information from consolidation expert team was passed forward so I didnt have to repeat myself. I had to provide account numbers so they have refernce when negotiating on my behalf but I believe this really was helpful for me as I dont know how I would get out of the debt without this team. My first payment for DMP has already been set up for the end of the month on pay day and this will be somethin i have for 4 years and all my debts will be gone which, when I think about it, I should have done many years abo before it got this bad. Overall I would say speaking to CS first was good and being passed through was not a frustrastion for me. You could prbably jump straight to DFH if you know you would not get the loan but eith way I dont think it changes the length of the phone call by much because BFH still need that information,
Big waste of time and a really weird…
Big waste of time and a really weird set up. It’s funny because they call you and say they’re going to connect you to an advisor, and then put you on hold on forever before speaking to someone, and spend best part of an hour going through everything. Then got told they’ll have to call me back the day after to find a solution. Book an appointment, next day comes, even get a text message to confirm the appointment time 10 minutes before it’s due and then….nothing 😂
No call, no reschedule, no apology. I think they called me about 6 hours later but never left a message or anything. But looking at all of the other reviews looks like it would have just wasted even more time! Avoid!
Misleading Service and Disappointing Experience with Consolidation Express
I recently engaged with Consolidation Express, a company that promotes itself as a helpful partner in managing and reducing debt. However, my experience starkly contradicted their advertised claims, leading to a profound sense of disappointment and frustration.
From the onset, the advisor assured me that our discussions would not revolve around Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) or Debt Management Plans (DMPs), which was crucial for me as I was seeking alternative solutions. Despite this assurance, the conversation inevitably steered towards an IVA, the very option I wished to avoid. It became apparent that the primary aim was to enroll me in their IVA program, which, as I later understood, included additional monthly charges, thereby benefiting the company from my financial predicament.
Moreover, I was taken aback by their quick dismissal of a debt consolidation loan as a viable option, attributing this to my credit card debt without exploring or discussing feasible alternatives. This lack of effort to genuinely understand and address my unique financial situation was disheartening.
While I acknowledge that companies in the debt solution sector operate in challenging environments, the expectation of transparency, empathy, and tailored assistance remains paramount. Unfortunately, my experience with Consolidation Express fell significantly short of these standards, leaving me more skeptical and stressed about my debt situation than before.
I urge potential customers to approach Consolidation Express with caution and to thoroughly explore all available options before committing to any financial plan or service they offer.
DONT use this company!
Honestly… I wouldn’t bother. From being promised they can help to then being told my “debts” are bad and I’m not eligible for a loan. Honestly, it’s a waste of time.
Now they won’t stop harassing me!

BELIEVE THE OTHER REVIEWS
BELIEVE THE OTHER REVIEWS
51 minutes on the phone with Christopher going over TONS of questions and promising me help then near the end doing a scare tactic into telling me how long it’ll take to pay off my debts at current rate. Declined for a consolidation loan asked if he can put me through to someone else who can help I expressly said if it’s an IVA or DMP I am not interested he said no it’s just making it one affordable payment. He puts me through to this woman I say the same thing not interested in IVA or DMP and she ended the call.
It’s a WASTE of your time, look at the reviews. The ONLY positive ones are people who’ve accepted an IVA/DMP this company will not offer you a consolidation loan

Pushy sales people, not there to help
Just looking at my options for getting my debts in one place, received a call as soon as I entered my details. I said straight away that I wasn’t looking for a debt management plan or IVA (after looking at other reviews here) as I’m able to afford my repayments, just looking to make one payment a month instead. They said they understood this.
Spent 40 minutes on the phone to a salesman who has clearly been told to pull at the heart strings, which was quite frustrating, felt I was made to feel bad about how I’ve chosen to manage my money. Only to be told they wanted to transfer me to a ‘specialist’ to set up a DMP or IVA which I didn’t want.
If you need a debt management plan or IVA (both valid options for some!) please go to Stepchange, a charity that doesn’t charge you rather than a company like this full of terrible salesmen who are going to take a cut of your repayments.

Bait & Switch
Referred to the company after seeing an ad for debt consolidation loans; was contacted soon after someone who ran through the details of all the information I'd already given on the online form. Was then told that a debt consolidation loan wouldn't be possible but my details would be passed on to a specialist for further options - person on the phone wouldn't say what the options were when I asked and started to be quite rude and talk across me when I asked any questions or requested some time to think before proceeding/ requested more information about what had been discussed already).
Unsure whether they actually offer debt consolidation loans as advertised but they seem very keen to refer you to another team/company to discuss what I would imagine are DMPs/IVAs as others have experienced. Avoid.

They claim to offer debt consolidation
They claim to offer debt consolidation, but to me it seemed the process is a bait and switch towards an IVA. When told them I was not interested in such, they became rude.
Avoid at all costs.

Whilst I felt it was a good idea to start and I agreed to do the Consolidation, I realised a few hrs later it was not right for me and also when I went through my finances again afterwards I wouldn't be any better off and with the Consolidation it would take 1 year 9 months to repay and I have 2 debts that will be paid within 12 months. So I emailed Hadyn who I dealt with to cancel the whole( There is a cooling off Period) and whatsapp him and guess what??? No response! I couldn't ring as was at the Hospital. My ref number for anyone from Consolidation Express is 432035 Please acknowledge and cancel for me!!

This company keep calling me and texting me, either trying to scam me or thinking I'm somebody else.
I just tried to call and correct them, but they hung up on me mid-sentence. I was perfectly polite.
Do not deal with this 'company'. Absolute shambles.

Not very helpful...
Phone call started off like the genuinely wanted to help, but you get passed around from pillar to post and they really dig deep in to why you have so many debts. Real personal questions and when you explain they ask you again a few minutes later. Got rather rude when I was being passed to yet someone else and I said I didn't have time. They said do I want to help my situation or not!! The bloke I spoke to clearly has targets on his back. It's all very robotic and I didn't genuinely believe they wanted to help. After I again said I didn't have the time, the level of rudeness got worse so I had to terminate the call. I will be going elsewhere to a company that genuinely wants to help and aren't just put for a quick buck on a loan repayment.

Okay so a very WEIRD experience
Okay so a very WEIRD experience. Spoke to a lovely guy who after a long and LENGTHY phone call where I had to break down every single debt I had, he then put me on hold, then came back and said congratulations I’m glad we can help me. Asked me how that sounded? I told him I was extremely happy to hear that (and honestly I was) I thought my consolidation loan had been passed. He got me very excited then he sneakily snuck “unfortunately you’ve been declined a consolidation loan” this was because of my debts and CCJ. I thought oh okay so I can’t get a consolidation loan for debt because I have debts? So what are you good for? Before I could even process how he got my hopes up and then crushed them he quickly said he was passing me to a colleague who would help me.
Another lovely guy but my Gosh… I then had to repeat everything I had just said to the first guy, breaking down my debts all over again. In the end, he told me my options of IVA and DMP and other options which I knew I didn’t want. I told him I’d think about it - something told me to go on here and read reviews - I then went and read reviews of the company - ALL HORROR stories of what people have been thru, credit getting worse with DMP, company taking 50% of the payments people were making towards their debts and pocketing it and I said hell no. Thank God I read reviews. I emailed him. No thank you.

I saw this advertised on Instagram and…
I saw this advertised on Instagram and thought I'd give it a go. I have many cards and really wanted to consolidate them into one payment rather than the several that I have. I can't fault the person who I spoke as he was really nice, but the way the company works and the questions they ask get personal. They soft search your credit history and have all of the information in front of them but then go in to detail about the why and what's for each card, at which point it makes you feel like you've hidden something from them. I was honest from the onset with what I had and how much I owe etc. but they then start to interrogate each card on your credit file and it just feels weird when they have the facts in front of them from the soft search. I get they need to confirm how much is on each card but I think maybe less on the whys, you are where you are so I really didn't get the point. I said to the guy, will I get a loan or not, or shall I just chip away at paying the cards back one by one and he said to do the latter which I would prefer after that call! It really wasn't a great experience and there must be a better way to "help" people. Again, the guy was fine, I just think the last thing you need when you're trying to get help is to be interrogated by the very people you've gone to ask for help. The only reason why I could think they do that is to offer a debt relief order or a debt plan which is why I stopped the conversation and ask outright if I could get a loan to help or not.

I spoke to this company and explained i was looking for some consolidation help. The first man i spoke to was lovely, really friendly and put me at ease. He explained that they could help me and was going to transfer me through to a specialist and just before he put me through he said very quickly "to make you aware we can't help you with a loan" and i was then transferred. A man answered the phone (call centre was extremely noisy) and it was almost as if he was giggling. He explained that the best option was an IVA. I said i didn't want to rush into anything and that i would need some serious time to think on this, his response to me was nothing but unprofessional. He started saying "Don't you want to help yourself though? why wouldn't you want to help yourself?" I said i needed time to think and he asked what i needed to think about and that the more i think the worse my situation would get! He was incredibly pushy, it took a lot of persuading (from my end) to get off that phone call.

Amazing
Just spoken to a couple members of the team and I was super nervous about it because my debts were quite bad. But they were super nice and really friendly, and have helped me so much! I spoke to Dylan first and he was lovely and passed me onto Jakob and I honestly can’t thank him enough! A weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I am just so grateful to both of them, definitely recommend!
