no recourse for unethical seller
I have proof to back up every claim I make in this comment just request my email and i will send screen shots of conversation with seller, but no one wants to go through what i went through. i made an offer on a item the offer was accepted (this all through their proprietary messaging app). so that was Oct 1st. it went through one hold up after another after that till this after noon. when the seller intentionally slowed the the process down until they got a better deal this morning and cancelled our agreement/deal.

Got a defective carburetor and the seller would not send me a new one he wanted to give me 75 percent of my money. I said no I wanted a new carburetor or a full refund. So I gave him negative feedback. Then he tells me if you change the feedback to positive he would give me a full refund. I told him to keep my money and the negative feedback. Tried contacting eBay and a week later no word from them so I'm done with ebay and will not be buying from them again no customer service.

Tried getting help off Facebook and 2 agents by the names of Chu and Geo were stupid and rude to me. Also treated me like I was stupid. Beyond unacceptable and they should not be agents. Both left the chat before I could respond. When I did someone else from ebay looked and never responded. Beyond unhappy with ebay and a couple recent purchases I made where I didn't get the correct refund. Some cents/dollars are missing and I don't understand why.
Will not purchase from ebay anymore if this is the kind of business they want to run and have ignorant non helpful customer service. Should be able to report agents.
They should also have a email to reach out to customer service.

I need to use Ebays' Click & Collect service, unfortunately. Roughly 4 out of 10 times, I get no QR code to let me collect. Collection point staff refuse to accept ECP code as an alternative when this happens (allegedly they're supposed to). Ebay customer service is purposefully hard to reach. They tell you they'll "pass it on to the team" and nothing happens, or it's very slow. They say they'll get back to you in 24 to 72 hours (3 DAYS). It was more like a week last time. I'd told the seller to cancel it by that time. I was done. Anyway, it's happened again. This is about the 4th time. So, after you wait up to 10 days on their "3 Day delivery", you can't even get your parcel. There is a massive rival company that are lightning fast- Their 4 day delivery often arrives the very next day after you ordered it. I only use Ebay if I really have to now. Shame. I have used them almost 20 years. They used to be pretty good. They're a massive pain now
Ebay sucks
Ebay sucks. 19 years down the line, thousands of transactions gone through without issue, 701* 100% feedback. Over 20 sales since April, no complaints, and orders always shipped out within 24 hours. Yet today they decide to put my payments on hold having previously paid out within 24 hours without incident. No rational explanation, just stonewalling and infuriatingly inept call center operatives reading from script. If i get a response here at all, it will be a cut and paste job in all probability written by AI. Ebay's customer service has eroded over the years from within. A culture of arrogance, profit maximization over customer care and a sneering lack of accountability. Ebay no longer serves personal users, it's geared up to high volume big business willing to pay exorbitant fees. The small personal seller is pushed away. What makes it worse is that Ebay really doesn't care.
Worst customer service ever period
Worst customer service ever period. I tried selling a drum set on eBay for the first time..next day my account was banned as well as me ever making another account for some reason. When I called to see what happened I was told they could not tell me. When I asked for a supervisor I was hung up on. That happened two more time until I finally got a supervisor to explain to me it was not an automated mistake but an actual person in which did this. He said the note he put explained i was suspended because of unusual activity on my account that's not normal. I said I never even use my account. He then explained that is correct and I have not logged in over a year...I am done with ebay..I mean you guys are not even up to date like Amazon and others with other subscriptions/services. As well as any sort of membership or deals worth it.
Sorry to say this is the end of Ebay's age. It was nice while it lasted but I'm done after today with this horrific experience!!

Forced me not to business with them - lunacy
I've used ebay for a great many years for buying stuff. Today, for the first time, I decided to use them to sell. They tried to force me to offer the items at a price way below value (as I didn't have a selling history) and said also I couldn't buy anything other than "buy now" because of unusual activity on my account. I can't develop a selling history as I don't have anything else to sell. I'm not going to sell the hifi below market price (I did the research on price) and subsidise ebay or any potential buyer. They couldn't tell me the unusual activity on my account. They bleated on about policies - i said the policies are not relevant to me as I have nothing else to sell. They still bleated on about policy. The situation is totally kafkaesque Orwellian nonsense. I will never use ebay for anything again because they forced me not to business with them.

Impossible to Reach a Live Agent — Seller Support Is Useless
It’s nearly impossible to get any real help from eBay’s seller support. They rely entirely on automated AI that doesn’t understand the issue and keeps you running in circles with no way to reach a live agent. For sellers trying to resolve legitimate problems, it’s extremely frustrating and time-wasting. eBay seriously needs to improve its customer service and make live support accessible again.

I’ve been with eBay for over 18 years and never had a problem or terrible experience. I sold a dress and the buyer didn’t get it on time so they put in a dispute to return it and claimed it arrived damaged. After offering a partial refund, and going back and forth with buyer. eBay sided with buyer and is forcing me to return and refund . Leaving eBay and going to Poshmark!

Horrible customer service
Never used eBay till September this year. Order a car part from a seller in Markham Ontario. Part was sent, through Canada post. Was delivered to wrong mailbox, I eventually tracked it down through calling Canada Post. About a week later I got a message saying my account is being suspended for putting the eBay community at risk, emails and a phone call with an agent and they refuse to even tell me why.
Extremely Disappointed — Account Suspended Without Reason
I saw an item I was interested in and created an account to bid on it. I placed a bid, was outbid, and decided to leave it there, keeping my account in case I wanted to use it in the future. A few days later, I received an email saying my account was being suspended because it was supposedly “putting the eBay community at risk.”
When I reached out to an agent, they refused to explain why and told me it couldn’t be appealed — that we should simply “part ways.” I’ve done nothing wrong, and as a new user, I’m honestly very disappointed. I’d heard about eBay for years and finally decided to try it, only to have my account suspended without any explanation.
eBay should be more transparent and allow users to clarify or resolve any issues before taking such drastic actions. It really feels like they just don’t care.

eBay has a ton of not so trustworthy or friendly sellers, when you leave a negative review or feedback for a seller to warn other would-be-buyers of the bad experience or that they are scammers eBay removes it to make eBay seem better than it actually is, ultimately making the platform a dangerous place to shop!
Satisfied until something went wrong
We were satified with ebay, until one day when we mismatched 3times password, afterwards we succesfully sign in and noticed that mobile number was wrong. So after updated mobile number, our account was from secutity reason blocked. We called to Germany where we got only robot then we called USA support where we were lucky to get connected to real person. Result from that is "they are number one in security" and solution how to unblock is by calling on old number, no other option (we proposed login via paypal, my husband id card, driving licence, video call comparision face with id, bill for internet with name, we did ask also for other option and no it can not be email).

You should vet your seller better . way back vault is nothing but scam.It should also be noted that eBay 's customer service is non existent.ebay does not have a customer service phone number. By refusing to talk to buyers, you have to ask what is eBay trying to hide?
