DECENT BUYERS AND SELLERS BEWARE!!!
I purchased an item from a seller on eBay. The item was delivered to the wrong address although, my house number is the same as the dwelling's building number. The driver submitted a photo of a front door that was painted black. My home has stained glass windows which also surround my front door. Nothing in or around my home is painted black. I contacted the seller and sent him/her photos of my front door which included the house number. The seller insisted that my item had been delivered and deliberately ignored the photos instead of doing an honest follow up. I submitted additional photos of my walking up the front steps (showing my address and difference), opening my front door, photo of the view of my porch from inside my home to my closing the door and showing the same stained glass and door from an inside view. The seller insisted that it was delivered to my address and that I should check with neighbors😡. It was an act of Congress to contact eBay through their website which is full of advertisements and long useless instructions regarding filing a claim. eBay's AI program is a mess and definitely not capable of addressing complicated issues...much less recognize any differences in photos. To add insult to injury, To add insult to injury, I managed to speak with a customer service representative that reviewed the communication between the seller and myself, saw the photos and acknowledged that the two places were different. I was given a service request number and told that my case would be reviewed within 48 hours. My case was apparently never reviewed by a live person as it was closed in favor of the seller despite the OBVIOUS differences in the photos. I am livid... Ebay's AI system is a mess and being forced to use a system that is incapable of addressing and issue but, won't make it easy to reach a live person is bad for an honest buyer and honest seller. PLUS...apparently eBay doesn't honor its Money Back Guarantee. PayPal refunded my money. Ebay's system has made it easy for its customers to get scammed out of money. Although my item was only $38, it was MY money and I paid for an item that I never received. I have been an eBay buyer for 12 years with 100% positive feedback. In my opinion, he eBay platform is poorly managed and it's AI system is a "stupid one" that is not capable of upgrading itself with newly acquired information. In addition, it's nearly impossible to reach a customer service representative and if you do manage to reach one, most likely that person is unable to resolve your issue. The system is SUCH a mess that I will be deleting my account. Amazon is much better in my opinion. Making purchases from or selling on eBay is a risk. If their AI system is a mess, I'm almost positive that their payment/refund system is just as bad. After reading all the reviews, I edited my review to add one point. APPARENTLY, EBAY DOESN'T EVEN CARE ENOUGH ABOUT IT'S BUSINESS TO REPLY TO THE REVIEWS OR CORRECT THE ISSUES MENTIONED. ...UNBELIEVABLE!!! THIS IS A CLEAR REFLECTION OF EBAY'S CORPORATE MANAGEMENT... INCOMPETENT AND UNTRUSTWORTHY!!! 😮BUYERS AND SELLERS BEWARE!!!
