Avoid Bensons for Beds if you are hoping they will deliver your bed when they say they will!
Bought a (very expensive) bed, headboard and mattress in the Aylesbury store. Cannot fault the sales side, absolutely brilliant. Booked (and paid for) delivery day of choice to cooincide with house move. Day of delivery arrives and 30 minutes before they are due, get a text to say cannot deliver! Said they would be in touch within 24 hours to rearrange. They made no contact at all. I called the Aylesbury store and was told they would see what they could find out and call me back. They didn't. I called again and the phone just rang and rang, no answer (most likely other customers in the same situation as me) I persisted and eventually got through. Earliest 'suggested but not guaranteed' delivery was 10 days away. So I cancelled the order. A manager had to call me to ask the ridiculous question of why I wasn't happy before they would issue a refund! Refund was reluctantly issued and I have purchased a bed elsewhere with 2 day delivery! In the menatime, I emailed customer services to lodge a complaint and they responded saying I had not given enough information for them to look into it. I would expect my name, address, order number and reason for complaint would be enough but it seems it isn't and the complaint cannot be looked into. I will never, ever set foot inside a Bensons for Bed store again or look at any of their products online. Absolutely appalling way to treat paying customers!
