Do not trust this company ! They say they have delivered parcels when they haven’t. They can’t provide photographic proof. The couriers probably just go through the list and marked all as delivered!... See more

Most worst courier company to exist

Most worst courier company to exist. They should be brought into media and made ashamed of how they run services in UK. No customer support, no delivery accuracies, no reliable drives. Be aware of them

Impossible to contact

As with other reviewers..they do not deserve 1 star.
Parcel collected Monday 2 December being sent to Glasgow.
Last tracking..over a week ago states it is with courier for delivery.
Telephone calls not possible "technical difficulties"
Email contact on Internet..response is the site is no longer being used
Email to Chief Exec returned by Google not delivered.
Live chat confirmed tracking I already had but no explanation.
Requests for further info ignored etc etc
Goods sent insured for £180..cannot get any info how I claim
as no way to speak to them in any way

If there was a no stars option I would…

If there was a no stars option I would give it to them.

They have according to my tacking had my parcel locally since last Thursday. I get a notication yesterday (Tuesday) my parcel will be delivered between 2 & 4pm.

At 1.19 I get an email to say it has been delivered with a signature that is not mine. As this cane to my business I check with goods in who confirm Hermes has not delivered or been on site.

I recount this to a colleage who ordered from a different business to my parcel but delivered with Hermes. Same delivery time and signature - how very strange.

As a matter of course we checked the businesses all around, only one had a delivery and the goods were still in the post room not our parcels.

We can prove no vehicle from Hermes was on site and someone has fraudulently forged both signatures - it is outragous - are Hermes drivers taking these? How can it be that a forged signature is used.

Typical Hermes customer service complet an online form blah blah.

If there is a way of knowing beforehand any business I am looking to buy a product from online uses Hermes I will not buy. Without doubt the most unprofessional delivery company bar none.

Would give no stars if it was an option

I’ve had bad experiences with this company in the past and sure enough they have continued to be beyond useless. First of all the scheduled delivery for Wednesday this week failed to take place – because of a theft from the vehicle apparently. So a notification arrived this morning “Your local Hermes courier has had to re-schedule your delivery. We're still delivering your Cassart parcel today. We'll now deliver your parcel: Between 3pm and 5pm.” So I cancelled everything and stayed in – only for no delivery – AGAIN. No notification whatsoever from Hermes until an update on their website after 7pm. “We're sorry your local courier couldn't deliver your parcel today. We'll try again on the next working day”. From now on if I find out a company is using this company as their courier I will simply avoid buying from them

Diabolical

Diabolical

They delivered my parcel to someone else. I checked the website to see how to contact someone, every option I chose either online or by phone (when I finally found a phone number) told me that they had delivered the parcel. I know they haven't because I was there and they were not. The parcel has been signed for by someone else.
You can not speak to any one it is all automated., you try the online chat option and its shut & In a final attempt to get grid of you they tell you to contact the retailer who sent the parcel. why? they didn't give it to a random stranger Hermes did.

Absolutely Rubbish

Absolutely Rubbish. So bad if a company uses them I won’t order from that company because I can’t rely on the product be delivered. Hermes sent me tracking saying parcel would be delivered between 15.00 and 17.00 so arranged my day around this. Sat like a lemon waiting for said parcel. Checked tracking at 16.45 to find that it had been ‘posted through letterbox’ at 13.41. No it hadn’t. It was a bag of dog food, there is no way that’s fitting through anyone’s letterbox! And how is 13.41 between 15.00 and 17.00. This company is totally unreliable, I don’t think I’ve had a single delivery to Cornwall from them go smoothly. From now on I shall check to see if my orders will be sent by Hermes and if so I shall not bother ordering and I shall tell the company why. It’s not just me friends have had similar issues with deliveries. Cornwall Hermes drivers are not reliable.

Had 2 out of 3 parcels delivered and…

Had 2 out of 3 parcels delivered and somehow their driver has 3 signatures. I never signed for any of these parcels I only knew they were there when I nearly fell over the 2 delivered parcels on my rear step. I was in when they were delivered but I never had a chap at my door. As for the customer service, this is just as bad as the failed delivery, I've been calling for two days and their head office number keeps saying that the office is closed. Is this due to all the complaints that are due in when it finally does open again.

Drivers all just lie.

Drivers all just lie. "Attempted delivery" that never happened... consistently. No calling card. Just lies to avoid delivering on that day.

Intentionally impossible to contact anyone in customer service.

Genuinely, one of the worst brands on the planet for customer service in my opinion.

1* is generous.

Just awful

Just awful. I’ve been waiting 3 days for a parcel. Everyday it’s the same thing ‘out for delivery between 2-6pm’ I was due another parcel today and what a surprise it’s not arrived today. I don’t know why companies use this courier and I don’t know how they will cope at Christmas time. I won’t shop with companies use Hermes now, they are just as bad as Yodel!!!!

If I could leave a '0' star review

If I could leave a '0' star review, I would! I get a text saying that my parcel would be with me between midday and 2pm, so I make arrangments to be there. At 3.30pm, I decide to check the tracking info directly on their website - lo & behold, I find that there's been " a slight delay with my delivery" and I'd advised to check the website tomorrow morning. Firstly, I've wasted an entire afternoon, secondly, a text to advise me would have been good and finally tomorrow is hardly a 'slight' delay. This is not the first time I've had problems with Hermes - the company really should be closed down - DIABOLICAL service, or should I say lack of it!!!

Stay clear

Parcel was tracked as far as a local delivery depot. Then there was a delay. They told me the parcel was damaged. Then they said they couldn't locate it which means it's probably been nicked and they seem to be content to leave it at that. Avoid at all costs.
They have since asked me to send them details of the outer wrapping and what size and weight the parcel is. How the hell would I know?! I'm supposed to be the receiver but it looks like that's not going to happen.

Shocking company

Shocking company. Every single time I place an order with a retailer online they use this diabolical company.

Every single time my tracking states 'your local courier will deliver today between 9am-11am' and every single time 10 mins later 'your parcel has been delayed we will have it on the move in 24 hours'

Also it always seems to be dawn my local courier who doesn't seem to know her job.

'hi I am Dawn I am your local courier, I like spending time with my family and walking the dog'

Well Dawn, how about you walk your dog to my house and deliver my parcel?

Bunch of hills have eyes goonies jokers

Hope the company goes bust so retailers can stop using them.

This company is a crook

This company is a crook, say they've delivered a parcel when in fact I refused it at the door and the driver took it away and then stated it had been delivered and signed for.

HERMES SHOULD BE ASHAMED

Hermes were due to deliver a large indoor plant. They are contracted by a company to do this in volume. Therefore the dimensions of items cannot come as a revelation and they should be prepared with the correct size delivery van. The plant got as far as the courier only for the company to decide the parcel was too large and will held back for up to another 48 hours. That’s bad enough but this is a living item not an inanimate object. How can you be so incompetent as to deliver the item to your courier and only then decide the item is too large for their vehicle. You must know what vehicle they have. This is simply breath-taking incompetence.

The companies failure to provide a customer service phone number at local call rates is abysmal.

Delivery driver FORGED my signature

Had the final part of my Amazon delivery posted through the letterbox by Hermes this morning.

Apparently I've signed for it even though I don't actually live at the delivery address and was actually 40 miles away at work at the time.

If the delivery driver had actually rung the fully functioning doorbell or even knocked on the door, they could have obtained a genuine signature from the householder where I had it sent.

Contacted Amazon, as it has a negative impact on them. Amazon apologetic and claim they'll look into it.

Haven't heard back from Hermes yet. It's extremely unlikely they'll reply to me message via the website.

Retaining the option of police involvement
