After booking the CP12 service, I called back to clarify a few of the sales persons claims about the offer on the website no longer being valid and charging me more than the original price quoted (not much, just £10). Manager in the customer service department agreed with me that the sales person was in the wrong, they offered me a £15 discount on the service but said that I would still be charged the full cancellation fee if I chose to cancel, even though their salesperson was in the wrong. I would hope that a company who admit they are wrong would fairly allow someone to cancel .
Excellent service. Robert was very professional, clean, polite and efficient.
I had the EPC done on a Friday and had the certificate on Monday.
Plus the charge was very competitive.

Booked gas boiler service and gas safety certificate with this lot. Phoned to say could come 2 hours early due to cancellation. Didn't remove boiler cover as said couldn't get at boiler inside cupboard due to the way it was fitted blamed kitchen fitters although boiler was actually fitted into the existing cupboards. Although I asked for a quote for the extra work and he had time in his schedule to spare, but left after only 25 mins. Now I have to pay again for a service. The lesson: Never pay up front.

Very pleased. I had my gas and electric checked at our flat. They visited within a couple of days and I got my certificates shortly after.

From the 1st phone call, to the gentleman who attended the property. A1. Highly recommend.
Robert and the company so easy to deal with. Everything straight forward. Great communication. The following up after for the EPC certification almost immediately. Definitely use this company again.
A breath of fresh air to deal with people that keep things simple and do not over complicated like so many do.

I paid for the certificate online before the check was done based on them advertising - Get Certified the Quick and Easy Way.
It has been 3 days and I have emailed and made numerous calls and still not had anything booked in.

Applied for a commercial property epc
Which was very steep in price than I thought . Had to pay because everywhere else was much the same !
Was hard to get hold of them after paying ,to find out when they were coming to do the job!. Unless you were paying again ! Got the certificate by email quickly after they arrived
Over all easy money for these company’s and the government should be managing this much better !!

Initial Adverts say that the Gas Safety certificate is from £34 but when details are completed. It increases to £75.

They SAID £85 for the EPC and a 3-4 day turn around. I paid. They then arranged the inspection FIFTEEN days later. The agent arrived, did the inspection, mentioned nothing, left. 3 days later the company demanded more money before they would send the EPC, referring me to terms and conditions they had never sent me before, did not mention on the day or prior to the inspection. The Ts and Cs are hidden at the bottom left of their site and the link is usually covered by a pop up ad for a "call me back" service. You will never be referred to these until they ask you for more money or you complain about the service. They are keeping this business identity ay a higher score than it should be by doing much of the work under a different business name, Propcert which attracts many more of the negative reviews. That company has a much lower average score than this one, even though they are the same. Never use.

10/10 for the assessor. He was punctual, courteous and an all round professional and nice person. He came to just do an EPC for the sale of our property.
The company however is very misleading. I believe this is an agency, so it won't necessarily be consistent each time, we were lucky that Brendan was fab.
For starters, it is all actually done by a company called Prop Cert which I believe is under the umbrella company with Energy Performance Certificates, so please go and read the reviews on prop cert too. I immediately received a bunch of emails from Prop Cert and thought it was spam, they ask you to sign up to an online portal, and it is all done through that.
Luckily I read the reviews and saw that they do not contact you in a timely manner/at all to arrange the appointment, despite being told on the phone that someone will be in touch the next working day. I booked online on the Friday (this process was very easy, and luckily we were not charged extra as per some other properties - I believe it depends on the size of the property, ours was a 3 bed semi detached).
I was told I would hear from an assessor on the Monday, by Wednesday I still hadn't heard anything. I had also read that it is near impossible to speak to anyone on the phone through the existing bookings line - I can confirm I was sat on hold for a long time in a queue that didn't seem to move, but by going via the initial enquiries line they transferred me directly and I finally did get to speak to someone.
The lady I was transferred to was unfortunately very rude, sounded like she hated her job and I was inconveniencing her by phoning. When I explained that I was expecting a call Monday as per what I was told at the time of booking, she said "uh, that's not how it works but ok." or something along those lines, she put me on hold for a long while and finally said that an assessor hadn't been assigned to us yet, and this would be done now and he would be in touch shortly. From here I can't complain.
But unfortunately, all of the above is why I don't rate this company, it felt very misleading and unprofessional up until the assessor came out, of which I would give him 5 stars.
Assessor arrived exactly when expected, was very punctual and polite and we had the certificate an hour later.
It's not that I don't recommend this company.... because they were affordable and it did work out, just please read all the reviews first, and be ready to have to reach out to them to actually get the booking sorted. I think the booking staff need to not give timeframes and/or there needs to be more email updates with timings outlined, because their processes really need looking at and their staff need some training in customer service. The new bookings line lady was lovely, but once you're an existing customer, it seems to be a whole new kettle of fish.

Steer clear. Took the money. Failed to respond to enquiries about appointment. Thankfully my bank helped me to get my money back, in the first instance, and this was then reclaimed when the company refunded me. The company caused me unwarranted stress. Do something else as you clearly don't like doing this!

I called a number - 020 3820 2015 - and they took payment of £169 for an EICR. I was advised I'd get a call the next day from an engineer to book the visit. No call received, after 5 days. No email receipt of payment either. Now the phone number has disappeared from the internet.
I realise it's not even clear who I've booked it with - Propcert, or EPC... the companies seem to be the same but different, and even the phone operator couldn't explain it to me. I don't know who has my money (PropCert have terrible reviews - see Trustpilot page for them with a score of 3.6).
So today I call them again and it takes 20 minutes to get through to someone. Then I'm put through to some other company that's local (Polarity?) with terrible online reviews. This woman books something in for me but will not send me an email confirmation, saying I'll get one from 'whoever you booked it with'. The whole call took an hour of my time. Still no confirmation of booking received, 6 hours later.
I'd like a refund please and have requested full investigation by my bank.
** Update, 7 days later. I received an email from The company. They denied that I'd used the phone number I mention above - but it's listed on my call history. They also claimed that I'd called a different number. That number has never appeared on my call history. So it seems there's been some kind of merger, or there are multiple companies in some way that even they are confused by. They offered a full refund, which was good. But by then the process was moving forwards. The engineers were due to come and after another 5 days I hadn't had confirmation of whether or not they have. I emailed again today to be reassured that it's been completed and my certificate is on the way. This isn't the first time that Propcert/energyperformancecertificates have been absolutely awful to deal with - I had issues with them over a GSC in the past too. Pimlico Plumbers are expensive but every single time they are efficient and centralised. I'm going back to them from now on.

Quick and efficient. Appreciated the very thorough report we received and gave us comfort during our house purchase. Cian kept me informed through the whole process and let me know when I'd get the report by which was helpful.

A little dissapointed. I would have hoped the online search / enquiry would have identified unavailability of the EPC & floorplan in my area before I had to create an account and a payment was taken.
A few days after arranging this service online and making payment which was processed, I received an email advising of unavailability.
Now awaiting for my payment to be returned and as always, we pay and it is immediate but up to 5 workibg days if you would like payment returned

I have used EPC many times before, so I am not sure what as happened to the company. I ordered an EPC, but after 4 days of non-response from the assessor, I was allocated a new assessor. 24 hours on still no contact. I've called EPC and have now been on hold for 10 minutes....Why accept orders if you cannot fulfil them?
In response to your comment below. This will be the 3rd field worker! Please confirm a refund. This has been unreasonably time consuming and I no longer wish to deal with your company.

Very poor. Guy turned up late, knocked at the back door rather than ringing the bell at the front. We'd taken time off work to be there and by the time we'd responded to his phone call he was away. And they kept our money without providing the service we'd paid for. Beware.

Never got a receipt for the certificate!! Contacted them but wasn’t interested said i needed to contact the actual guy who did the EPC? Even though i had booked it through them!!

First, you have to pay up front before even knowing how long you are going to have to wait. Then you wait to hear from a local provider. In my case I got a text to arrange an appointment a week later. The person didn't show up, and didn't say they wouldn't show. When I texted to ask why I was told he had had too many people before me. Eventually I got my certificate after a couple of weeks.
I then got a series of follow-up emails trying to get me to purchase related products from the parent company, propcert.co.uk, and an invitation to review a completely different company, ecoapproach.co.uk
The whole thing feels dodgy and I would definitely try somewhere else next time.
