I initially gave a poor review purely due to the late delivery of a cake for a very important event in my family. We did get the cake in time (just) and in all fairness it tasted detholus. I have sinc... See more

I would not give this company 1 star.
I was told I would receive a full refund for a poor quality cake I received for my son’s birthday. I thought the service couldn’t get any worse with the initial experience but this company has zero customer service.
After over 1 month. I still have not received a refund, despite sending several emails.
I am in total shock as to how customers are treated. They are quick enough it to take money but can’t deliver on what was ordered and then making it difficult to get a refund.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I don’t ever write reviews but feel I have to this time as have been totally let down!! After ordering a cake and ringing twice to confirm the order had been received as I hadn’t had an email to confirm it had and being told twice that it was being processed, two days later when delivery was meant to be the cake didn’t arrive and still hasn’t 11 days later!!..I was told by Dani that the delivery company had problems and it was out of her hands. I asked for a complete refund as was only offered a refund for the postage, and that still hasn’t happened!..I was told this morning it can take up to 20 days, a refund has never taken this long before!..I feel this company are very good at telling you what you want to hear and actually have no intentions of carrying it out!..the cakes look so good online but I would never place an order with them again..I have actually lost £54 plus the price of another cake I had to buy to replace this one!!

Just an update following my review about Bakerdays. Firstly the reply is a generic AI automated response. I read their reply on trust pilot and once again contacted them as requested. Once again, put through to answer phone, left a message explaining I was replying to their trust pilot message. Again nothing, no reply. I ordered another a cake, large number balloons, and firework candles from another company to be covered for the party. Now I have paid out twice. A week later on the day of the party the cake from Bakerdays turned up with balloons having had no confirmation or contact from baker days whatsoever. The cake did not have my daughter’s name on as requested and did not have the firework candles that I was charged for. The cake tasted nice but left a bitter taste because of their unreliability and lack of communication. I am out of pocket having ended up with two of everything as well as the stress and anxiety. Something seriously wrong with this company at the moment.

Ordered a chocolate & vanilla cake for my hubbys 60th birthday & I was not disappointed!! The service I received from Dani (customer service),was fantastic, she couldn’t have been more helpful! I did pay £12.00 to have it delivered by a courier company by 1.00 on the delivery date but I would definitely do that again,it was brilliant. The cake itself arrived exactly as expected & it tasted delicious! The buttercream was so light like marshmallow. I would definitely recommend this company based on my experience & will be using them again in the future for any special occasions. Thanks guys,a great 5 star service all round!!

Ordered a cake on 7 June 2025, the DPD driver didn't deliver the cake so a second attempt made the cake still didn't turn up. I requested a refund on 9 June, nothing yet. I have sent 17 emails asking for the refund. Today 29 July still nothing. Very unprofessional company, don't use.

The cake arrived a bit late due to courier issues, which was disappointing at first, but Bakerdays contacted me before I even had to reach out. They explained the situation, offered a free cake for another occasion, and let me know they’re switching couriers soon. I really appreciated their proactive approach – great company that truly cares.

I accidentally submitted the wrong message for the cake I ordered (completely my fault), and only noticed when it arrived. Bakerdays were fantastic – they offered to remake the cake with the correct message and sent it out free of charge. Honestly, amazing service and the cake itself was lovely. Would definitely use them again!

I had placed an order for a cake with specific arrangements for Saturday delivery, including additional payment to secure the date. Unfortunately, the cake was not delivered as promised. Despite my repeated efforts—numerous phone calls and several emails—I have yet to receive either my order or a refund.
This has been especially frustrating given that this is now the second occasion the company has failed to fulfil a delivery, leading to considerable disappointment and inconvenience. The service I have received has fallen far short of expectations

Ordered a personalised cake for my son’s birthday, but it arrived with some damage due to the courier. I contacted Bakerdays and they couldn’t have been more helpful – they sent out a replacement straight away and it arrived in perfect condition the next day. Really impressed by how fast they sorted it. Excellent customer service!

The correspondence was a little slow etc, but the cake i ordered for my sister-in-law 's birthday truly compensated for that. It was beautiful, just as i wanted it to be, the personalisation was a great touch too. I'm very happy with my experience, and would use bakerdays for future occasions. Thank you.

Follow up to my previous poor review.
Received a generic response to my cake not being delivered and totally ruining our party, offering me a free cake as compensation!
They couldn't even deliver the one I ordered!
What an absolute joke of a company.
Tried blaming DPD for not delivering. I don't believe a word of it!
I personally don't believe they even made the cake!
Truly shocking.
Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I would not recommend Bakerdays!
Ordered a cake well advance and paid extra for Saturday delivery. Email confirmation said delivery by DPD for the Saturday. Cake was not delivered and was needed for a party on the Sunday. Could not contact anyone at Bakerdays as office was shut. Had to purchase another cake!
Emailed and on Monday received a reply saying that they were chasing the order up with courier. Being too late now anyway and we are going on holiday.
Would like a full refund but nobody answers the phone!!! Seriously not happy

We ordered a cake for a corporate event. The engagement team for the design were very responsive, polite and accommodating. The cake turned up timely, well packaged, looked as per the proof and was very yummy and went down a treat with all the guests.

Starting with the negatives, then the positives.
I ordered a birthday cake with a portrait for my boyfriend and chose express delivery by 1 PM.
I spent the whole day waiting. I contacted customer support several times — they sent me a tracking link and claimed the cake had been delivered, but in reality, it hadn't arrived.
It turned out that I hadn't been charged for express delivery, which was confusing.
When I uploaded the photo for the cake online, there was an empty space left on the preview. In the final result, that space was filled with a blurred duplicate of the same image — it looked like a ghost behind my boyfriend’s face.
The cake finally arrived at 8 PM.
There was no poem note attached as requested, and unfortunately, the original poem is now lost forever.
Inside, instead of a half-sponge, half-chocolate filling, there was only sponge.
The surprise was ruined, and the day was full of stress.
But the cake tasted amazing!
When I complained, I received a sincere apology and a fair compensation offer.
Although it wasn’t possible to arrange for a cake to arrive on my own birthday, I did eventually receive a perfect one — beautiful and exactly as I requested.
So, in the end, although I was initially unhappy, the customer service team learned from the mistake and made things right.
Thank you to the support team!

We ordered a cake for our daughters christening from Bakerdays. We found communication good, the website had great variety, competitive prices & easy to use.
The cake arrived on time as agreed in the booking process. The cake was packaged nice & suitably packed with bubble wrap & looked amazing on opening.
Unfortunately though we then realised the cake had been knocked about in transit with a large split in the icing.
We took pictures, continued with using the cake as the christening was only the day after.
The cake, despite the "split" was stunning. Visually great, perfect icing/personalised name etc with lovely sponge & cream.
We then contacted the Bakerday team with the issue who have been absolutely 1st class. Professional, understanding, quick communication, offering their apologies & a complimentary cake as compensation for this unfortunate situation.
In all: Beautiful cake, Good prices, Awesome Customer Service & despite the issue, it ended a good experience.
I would definitely recommend, thanks guys.
Thanks "Dani" with the responsive & empathetic communication.

I wanted to share my experience as a designer working with bakerdays. Unfortunately, it was not positive.
I was hired to produce digital marketing and design work for them, and while my initial drafts weren’t perfect, I was actively working on revisions and improvements as requested. However, before I could submit the revised designs, I suddenly received an email saying my contract was terminated.
It felt very abrupt and unfair, as I wasn’t given a chance to complete the revisions or prove that I could meet their expectations.
I understand businesses want high standards, but I wish there had been better communication and more willingness to collaborate rather than ending the contract so quickly.
This experience has left me quite disappointed, and I’d advise other creatives to clarify expectations in detail before engaging with bakerdays.
PS: I've just read some reviews here on Trust Pilot and most of them are negative. I guess it says a lot about this brand.
I ordered 2 cakes from Bakerdays for events at work, both to different addresses.
They confirmed the cake was what I wanted and sent me a picture to see if I was happy with the writing.
Both cakes arrived in good time and I was kept informed of the delivery.
The cakes looked good and tasted amazing, really light sponge.
We will use them again

Ordered a cake for my son’s first holy communion day celebration. The cake was delivered on time but it was very damaged. The cake was split and the chocolate filling was all over the cake tray beneath the cake. Couldn’t use the cake in the end. They offered a replacement but this was of no use as the event had happened and it was too late. I asked for a refund but they have refused. I would never use this company again and hopefully you will not make the same mistake.
