Just seen Tron Ares at the Vue…
Just seen Tron Ares at the Vue Basildon, I love this cinema nice and easy to get to great food and great cinema
I normally visit the vue in Basildon
I normally visit the vue in Basildon, but staying with friends we visited the vue in their area but I wasn’t impressed the atmosphere the cinema just looked and felt like it was past its prine
What a very sad experience indeed
What a very sad experience indeed. Dirty, very few staff who looked very uninterested, horrible musty smell
Website confusing
Website too confusing. I struggle with all the new tech these days as is but this is next level.. not old person friendly!!
Tickets Are Now Available, But Not Really!!!
I have a Vue Cinema account where I set-up reminders to be notified of when upcoming film tickets become available.
Having received an email notification on 10.10.25 that tickets were now available for "The Running Man", I checked online, but tickets for Vue Cinema in my town was not available.
I then received another email notification on 13.10.25 that tickets were now available for "Predator Badlands", again, I checked online, but tickets for Vue Cinema in my town was not available.
I called Vue Cinema on the same day (Mon 13th) to find out if there was an issue with the website. I was informed that Vue Cinema for my town/the tickets for both films may not be showing, since their website is only refreshed at mid-night on a Tuesday.
Having checked Vue's website again today (Wed 15th), still no sign of Vue Cinema for my town, but every other town under the sun is listed!!
I called Vue Cinema again, spoke to Lance and explained the above. He was unable to answer why my town was not listed on their website. I asked for the contact number for Vue Cinema in my town, so that I can do Vue's job for them and investigate whether or not the above movies are actually being shown and whether there is an issue on the website - no such luck there either!!
I also ask why am I receiving email notifications for tickets which are not available, when Vue knows from my account details which town I live in, etc? Again, he had no answer for that other than he can raise it with technical - doesn't help me much!!
In short, if you want a better service avoid Vue and try Cineworld or Odeon for a stress free experience!! - an average review rate of 1.6 says it all!!
Lack of service at food counter.
Went to watch “I Swear “ at the Vue @ Glasgow Fort today. No issues at all with the screening whatsoever. However , we waited 20 minutes for food/drink as there were only 2 members of staff serving. The service was appallingly slow at what was quite a busy time ! (School holiday week ) By the time it was our turn to order there was no hot dogs available ,so we didn’t order anything else. A guy in a white shirt who I presume was the manager was milling around behind the counter could I perhaps suggest he might lower himself to actually serve some customers and keep things moving at busy times or perhaps have enough staff available to meet the demand. We will bring our own food next time 😕
Vue castleford - just don't, you will regret it, go anywhere else anywhere else, watch a movie under a bridge In a damp box, you will be more comfortable
Vue castleford.
Massive disappointment, beware there are no electrical reclining seats. Unlike both vues in Leeds, your paying for a recliner the like you get on a Ryanair flight. Don't waste your money. I was conned by the 'vip' tag that makes no difference to the experience, compete sham of a description. Relying on the small print to hide how sh*t an experience it actually is. Epic screen nothing special if your wondering, just the word epic in massive letting on the side walls.
Would have given zero stars if I could.
Attended Vue Northampton to view 2…
Attended Vue Northampton to view 2 films today. Whilst the seating is comfortable and the staff are friendly, the cinema is just too cold. Staff were informed and nothing was done to make the setting more comfortable. Aircon in the reception area didn't help blowing out cold air.
Sadly we won't be returning to Vue Northampton!
Terrible experience
I booked 2 seats online for a teatime showing. This was difficult to do because you had to book one seat at a time it wouldn't let you pick your two seats together. I upgraded them both, which again wasn't easy. I printed out the tickets which had a starting time of 17:05 at screen 5. It also stated "Show this QR code to a team member at the ticket gate for entry to Screen 5". When we arrived there was no staff at Screen 5 so we made our own way in. We located our seats and got ready to watch the film. We were then subjected to 40 minutes of ear busting music from advertisements before the main film came on, pure mental torture. For the length of the film there were only 6 people in there. We could have sat anywhere. I know advertisements are revenue but 40 mins non stop is not acceptable. Not the experience we expected and will never repeat.
Honestly I dont know where to start
Honestly I dont know where to start. First of all 3 drinks for £20 is mad. We should at least get 4 large popcorn with that but no, vue is very expensive and we paid £50 for a family of 4. We couldn't even watch the movie because one of my son was 1 year below the age rating and was with 2 adults. I should be the one allowing my child what to watch and not to watch. The service was and still is terrible. Do not go I would rather buy tickets at savoy. Do not recommend.
Poor excessive noise level
Saw Downton today2015 screening
Lots of booming noise coming from possibly a nearby screening. We were in screen 10 Cribbs Causeway Bristol
Very annoying when watching a relatively quiet movie
Extremely discriminated customer…
Extremely discriminated customer service and I am really angry because the staff wanted to see my daughter's ID because she was 16 years old which she is. He made her call me but I refused to give ID and rather wanted to talk to the culprit who is making my daughter feel like a criminal but the coward did not want to speak to the old woman with a hoarse voice, did he? Cos he was scared and he was calling the manager, big baby! I make sure I complain to the head office and CEO also the prick did not ask her friend for ID which made me angry.
I send my daughter her birth certificate copy via WhatsApp like she was a federal criminal or something?
Vue cinema compared to Odeon is a extremely garbage place. I prefer Odeon because it is for classy people.
Please do not ever treat my daughter who is 16 like a criminal again otherwise have to answer to me. It is just a southern railway away also my point was ''why did he not ask her friend''? who was her boyfriend so would a 17 years old date a 50 years old? Dumb arse! I will not let this go so easily the emotional impact it had on my daughter. Flipping dueshbags .
Odeon has better food, better staff and quality is integrated. Next time call the PARENT/GUARDIAN. This is what my daughter text me
''So their was a blonde girl and she had makeup on and she wasnt white she was more tanned and she has a yellow t-shirt one and shes the one who asked me if i had id then she left and then their was the guy who was waiting for me to give id he was black and have afro hair and he had a black t shirt on''....
Good thing I was not there !!!!!!!!! I am the birth giver
Vue at Gunwharf Quays…
Visited Vue at Gunwharf Quays Portsmouth to see Downton Abbey, the contrast on the screen was appalling far too dark , brown in colour. Didn’t want to get up and leave to complain as was mindful of disturbing the other patrons. I complained on leaving and was told to email customer services with my complaint. I did this and had a prompt reply saying I should have voiced my concerns immediately, tough luck was the impression I got. Not impressed.
One of worst staff
One of worst staff, they did not allow my 9 yr kid because of 15plus rating however we have seen may same rating movie in UK nobody stopped. Moat of the Indin movies can be watch by kids as this movie was comedy movie. no refund. Shame less staff. There are racist people in the world. No humanity. Finally I returned with family without watching movie. me and my family will never watch movie in such a worst cinema.
Awful technical staff control over…
Awful technical staff control over screen monitoring of to many Screens?Particularly sound levels for some small auditoriums? Some lighting doesn’t dim when film starts?Snack food absolutely ghastly.Minced pig sausages?Popcorn under shoes at home? Some “Horror “films too manipulate by superstition by American church faiths? Some good American Thriller and Musical Films (movies).Indies and Hollywood! Thanks.
Agree with what other reviewers are…
Agree with what other reviewers are saying overall, saw Superman in July, and it was massively hot, very poor not putting the air conditioning on in such hot weather, much prefer the newly opened Lumiere cinema, although its £2 more expensive than the Vue, the staff are far more friendlier and welcoming, than the staff at the Vue, which seem a bit inexperienced and disinterested, being a wheelchair user, the guy behind the counter had to give me the code for the lift "Oh it might be..." might be isn't good to me mate, I need to know exactly what it is, just seemed like they couldn't be bothered really, at Lumiere, the staffseem far more engaged, and helpful, and it feels more homely ,Vue has just gone massively downhill over the years.
Awful picture quality at the Vue Watford.
I went to a performance of the 4K restoration of the Sound of Music in screen 5 at the Vue cinema in Watford. Sadly, the image was dull with all the colours washed out.Such a disappointment. My bluray of the film has grain but is bright with vibrant colours. Also, they forgot to switch on the projector for nearly fifteen minutes. A member of the audience went to find out what was going on.
Cribbs causeway Bristol
Cribbs causeway Bristol. Took family for birthday treat but typically idiots talking loudly all through the film!
Cinema for profit first and customers last
I had a very disappointing experience with Vue Stratford, both in terms of customer service and the way the cinema operates.
When I had an issue rebooking tickets, I followed their troubleshooting advice and even used live chat support. The chat was closed on me before my issue was resolved, leaving me stranded. In the end, I had to borrow someone else’s phone just to rebook. For a company of this size, the customer support feels dismissive and unhelpful.
On top of that, Vue’s tiered seating system feels unfair and purely profit-driven. Seats in the center of the cinema — which used to be the standard — are now branded as “premium” and cost extra. This means you either pay more for a decent view or settle for uncomfortable seats at the edges or front. For families or groups, the added cost quickly becomes unreasonable. What they call “choice” is really just a hidden price hike.
To make matters worse, there is no staff presence during screenings to deal with people making noise, talking, or using phones. It leaves customers paying more for a disrupted experience that Vue does nothing to manage.
Overall, the combination of poor customer service, exploitative seat pricing, and lack of in-cinema support makes Vue feel like a company more interested in squeezing profits than providing a fair and enjoyable cinema experience.
Most cinema are following this policy and I suggest either using video on demand services, streaming or search for the few community based cinemas that may offer a better deal.
Disappointing experience with Vue in…
Disappointing experience with Vue in Piccadilly Circus, booked vip seats to enjoy a proper London cinema experience with my girlfriend… I was shocked by the quality of the seating , had that uncomfortable plastic feel.. The size of the screen was a let down too to say the least. Spent a lot of money on this, would not recommend. I am giving it 3 stars due to the fact that the staff members were pretty welcoming and lovely.
