eBay has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced

I tried to ask the same question no less than 5 times today, and I experienced similar results trying to ask something else a couple of days ago. I have the initial query logs in which case I was nothing but polite. Despite their transcript showing some sort of response, I never got a single one apart from on the very last time, so I was asking them to email me an answer if it "disconnected" without any answer or follow up email explanation the first couple of times but that was ignored. I also emailed them myself and was also outright ignored. I never have issues chatting with other customer services on the same browser/device, and it's very rare for anything to be less than totally friendly. I have literally never flipped on any CS like this but I lost my patience; imagine being in person and disrespected by multiple people walking away from you after you've waited a couple of hours for an answer to a pretty simple question.

Deliberate Anti-Consumer Practices

For a long time, Vue have not let you redeem gift cards online. What's completely unacceptable is you can now BUY gift cards online, but not actually USE them online. So they're happy to take your money, but refuse to let you redeem what you've paid for. The capacity to accept voucher codes is already available on their site (Meerkat deals etc.), but even if that wasn't the case then it's still unacceptable business practices to not have implemented the function by now. Gift cards are useless for any remotely popular film, i.e. films that will already bring Vue money in, so are only usable on less popular viewings i.e. not otherwise profitable.

BEWARE of gift cards!

Received a gift card, went to book online and astoundingly you can not use them to book tickets online! A quick look shows they have received negative feedback for this over literal years but still haven't done something about it. Instead, they point to the "terms and conditions" and yep fair enough it says on them, but who on earth reads them and doesn't have the expectation to use a gift card for a businesses main service?

Clearly no confidence or justification for their own product.

Their posts on social media are heavily manipulated. Myself and others have had comments deleted for as little as asking about comparisons to very similar products on the market. The fact they do this rather than answer tells me what I need to know about them and the product.

READ IF YOU'RE HAVING SUPPLY ISSUES!

Like many people here I ordered late February for a mid March delivery. The final day before delivery was due I became concerned as I'd heard nothing, so after much trying I finally got through to someone at boilerjuice. They assured me my order would arrive on time... It didn't. After getting through to them again Boilerjuice then told me that the supplier had put the order on hold the previous day, mere minutes after I had been assured everything was OK. I called the supplier as I had their details by this point, who told me that it was boilerjuice putting the order on hold. With both of them saying there was no issue on their end, I forwarded what one of them said onto the other. THAT PUT THE PRESSURE ON AND I RECEIVED MY OIL. The order had already been marked as "delivered" before delivery actually took place though, and I then received a call from a manager at boilerjuice who told me the important bit... That the employee I had spoken to shouldn't have told me the following, but whilst putting the blame solely with the suppliers they reaffirmed that SOME ORDERS ARE BEING CANCELLED OR HELD RANSOM TO EXTRA PAYMENT TO PREVENT THE SELLERS LOSING MONEY ON IT. That's what's happening here... They are pushing your orders back or canceling them completely in order to push newer more pricey orders through. How this behaviour is allowed is absolutely disgusting, CONTACT YOUR LOCAL MP FOR THE PROTECTIONS THAT GAS/ELECTRICITY CUSTOMERS GET!

Rocketing prices! Don't just fall for a discount code.

I've used this place for years, and every time I log on it gets more and more expensive compared to other brands. They try to seem cheaper with constant offers but for example, an order today for standard whey protein would cost over 25% than just a couple of months ago even with codes. If I check an order from a couple of months prior to that, again it's increased. Going back just 2 years I was paying about £65 for their 5kg tubs; you don't get 2kg from them for that now. Prices will of course go up but as I say, compared to other brands these rises are nuts and they've gone from a good value brand to pretty high prices for what you're getting which is a shame.

Hey There,
Unfortunately, due to numerous economic issues, the supply chain has been significantly affected. This has ultimately meant we have had to increase our prices, according to the inflation from suppliers. We try our hardest to keep our prices low, and appreciate your feedback.
Kind Regards

No service and lies.

An engineer arrived as scheduled on the 23rd October, successfully installing fully working broadband.

Later that day another engineer came unannounced when we were out, who physically tore the working cable from our property and posted a "sorry you weren't in" card. This obviously left us with no service at all and at no point did this engineer attempt to contact me on the number I had provided.

After reporting this, 2 days later an engineer came and partially fixed the damage to our property but said there is now a problem with the external line that he would resolve, but at most we will be without service for around 10 minutes whilst switching over. He left without completing this job and we then had no service.

Another day, another engineer arrived at our property, inspected the internal socket and again confirmed that there was an issue somewhere. I told him that another engineer had left without completing the job, he assured me the job would be completed and proceeded to sit in his van for around 90 minutes before leaving.

Later that day a fifth engineer knocked on my door, shovel in hand openly displaying frustration at none of the others having completed the apparently simple task before also going on his way with the job undone.

I have been directly lied to on numerous occasions about the completion time and interruption to our service, the issue has been marked as resolved online despite my objections, and information has been falsified including claiming to have visited an appointment on the morning of the 29th October despite nobody having been at all and the area being covered by CCTV.

Every time they are spoken to, they casually push the date for the issue to be fixed back. Disgusting lack of service which is preventing my pregnant wife from working from home during a pandemic.

Still refusing repair and now being accused of LYING/FRAUD!

Further to my previous issue as seen on here (TLDR: refusing to honour warranty and they damaged my phone) I have now been contacted by John Lewis on Trustpilot immediately followed by requests to provide even more evidence than the multiple pictures I have already provided them and also demands of proof I hadn't fraudulently created my evidence! Disgusting behaviour, I'll now be seeking legal advice and likely be recovering via small claims court, I'd rather them decide than be treated like scum by this company. THEIR REPLIES ON HERE ARE NOTHING BUT EMPTY PR DAMAGE CONTROL.
