I had to phone RCI as I couldn't access my account. I have had a stroke recently and my faculties are a bit degraded! I spoke to David & explained my circumstances. He was very sympathetic and helped me complete the service I required. He joked that he will be available to me until his shift ends at 5pm and I am sure he would have been there for me until I finished the transaction if necessary. Very excellent customer service all round. PS it only took one hour to resolve my issue but that is not the point! Thanks David and RCI

I had banked with RCI for over 10 years when I transferred a sum of money into the account from my own savings elsewhere. They wrote to me demanding details on where the funds where from and I gave them a fairly comprehensive answer by online message. They then sent me a further letter wanting much more detailed information, giving me 2 weeks to reply. The letter happened to arrive whilst I was away on holiday. By the time I got home they had closed my account!
I strongly advise anyone from using RCI when they treat long standing customers in such a high handed and unfriendly manner.

I recently set up a deputyship account (similar to power of attorney) for my mother.
When I tried to log in yesterday with the password I thought I'd set, after 3 tries it blocked the account.
This evening I chatted to Kit who was very friendly and professional. He patiently helped me reset the password and waited till I successfully logged in.
Setting up a deputyship bank account with other banks has been fraught with difficulty but RCI has made everything straightforward and, more importantly, quick. Well done RCI!

I recently took out a 3yr bond with RCI and had occasion to call and query something. I spoke with Scott, who was extremely polite & helpful. He took time to run through things with me and he made me feel he had all the time in the world to get things right, I didn’t feel rushed and there was no urgency in his voice or no background chatter that you often here from call centres, he even suggested putting an alert on my account for others to see, this wasn’t required but was so thoughtful. RCI seem to run things with care and professionalism, other banks, take heed!
Great interaction, with easy on line systems and a good interest rate.

I begrudgingly score RCI bank 1, but in my experience there should be no marks here. This bank decides to record misinformation on my credit file, therefore affecting my credit score immensely. I made a complaint to them directly. I was hopeful that the matter would be resolved fairly. They couldn't give me the respect to respond appropriately to my complaint.I am not one to complain but because of how this is affecting my life, I have to. This matter has now been referred to the ICO and the FCA. Really poor service.

I’ve always found the staff at RCI really easy to talk to and very patient, although the pre recorded preamble is very annoying and not necessary to be so long!
However, once you’re through, I spoke to Kit today and he was fabulous, very patient when I’d forgotten all my log ins and then forgot them again! I’m pretty sure I’ll be reinvesting once my policy matures and that’ll be in part due to the customer service. It’s rare nowadays to speak to someone who listens and doesn’t constantly try and sell you something! Well done RCI and Kit

I have been with this bank for many years & I have just found out that the app is no longer supported for my phone, no prior notice, no customer care, Have phoned today but just a could not care less attitude from the cal centre
So after this ignorant attitude from RCI I will close all my accounts and take my monies to a bank that does care!

Interest rate is competitive but not the best on the market. They need an app like Chip. Slow on transactions. The website is clunky and difficult to use. Try finding the sort code and account number for the account.

Highly recommend RCI Bank customer service Ian Kent.
I telephoned and explained to Ian Kent my situation. He was incredibly helpful, listened and talked me through my dilemma. He explained he would need to speak to a manager and would call me back by the end of the day.
Ian phoned me and explained clearly the solution to my query. During our conversation he asked if I had any other queries or if there was anything else he could help me with.

I had never heard of RCI Bank before I opened a personal "Freedom Savings" account. It has a good interest rate, and even though the app looks a little simple or old-fashioned, it works perfectly all the time. I found that transactions in/out with other banks processed quickly
