Do not book your holiday with this company as soon as they get your money your on your own, the service is next to nothing I paid for transfer connection which never arrived then having to pay extra absolutely no communication your just ignored

The Holiday Place organised an excellent holiday for us in India
We enjoyed an EXCELLENT holiday in India in February booked through The Holiday Place. The guides were excellent, our driver Jacki was also excellent and went out of his way to help us. The hotels were excellent. Great value for money.
The staff went to great trouble to book the exact holiday we wanted. Very sad that this company is no longer trading.

My honest opinion...
My honest opinion? The Holiday Place were brilliant- I was just about to book with them again when I found out they have ceased trading! I am totally amazed. I’ve booked holidays with them for years and always found them very professional, helpful and amazing prices, even when doing a bespoke itinerary for us. They will be sadly missed by me for one.
Awful experience when booking my hols
When booking my holiday, the agents provided quotes over the phone yet when I checked their own website, I found the identical holiday, location, hotel package for £300 cheaper (despite no on-line discounts). It seems that greed played a large role when speaking directly over the phone to operatives.
I booked my holiday myself with the website quotes and followed all guidelines by paying my deposit etc. I then received a call days later from an operative confirming the booking and discussing all terms and conditions which was fine. Another week later, I receive a call advising that I must pay another £460 immediately (this was despite the 12 week deadline to pay in instalments) to cover airline costs or I would not be able to travel. There was no mention of this in the booking information, terms and conditions or confirmation discussion with the operative a week earlier when they confirmed the booking.
To make things worse, they breached data protection by sending my personal information and details to a friend of mine whom I had travelled with two years before. Luckily, this person alerted to me to the fact that they were receiving emails about all of my information. When I challenged the agents, they came out with a really pathetic excuse that I must have given my friends email address????
They then clearly ignored the conversation and continued to email my friend each time I made a payment. The supervisor, whom I spoke to was rude and arrogant and only changed his tone when I said that I hoped the call was being recorded so that he could see his own poor conduct.

My husband and I spend nearly £ 7000 for our once in a life holiday to Sri Lanka and Maldives and sadly we experienced a BIG difference in value between what we booked and what we received...!
When we arrived in Sri Lanka we have not had an appropriate tour guide who can show us all the places included in our package.

Even 1* is not worth!!! We booked holidays for my friend 60th ! Ohhh , we got amazing present from Holiday Place !!! 1 week before flight company closed! No phone numbers, no help lines, no emails!!! Nothing! That’s in UK, that’s in 21th century???? I got not sleeping nights, I got stressful week, not mood for holidays, for nothing!
That rubbish company distorted our plans, happiness! I need to pay for everything again !

Cant give more than a 2 stars as they have gone bust and so have never travelled with them and never will ! All I can say is when we were booking the guy was good, changed flight times etc for us but I will never know and neither will anybody else!
Sad news
I know this company have gone out of business and that makes me so sad. I had fabulous holidays to Cuba and South Africa with them in 2016. I almost booked a holiday to Thailand for this year but decided against it but nothing to do with the company. I am sorry for the anguish current customers who are either abroad now or have a holiday booked; it must be a great worry and a huge disappointment. I hope things are resolved satisfactorily for you all.

Terrible holiday in Thailand in March. After lots of complaint the company manager Nikita Kelly offered me £350 compensation and the cheque would be in the post. This was confirmed on the 21st May and I have just seen that the company is in administration. I have the evidence to prove that they would refund me so will ATOL pay me out?

Thank you for running off with the money that me and many others have worked so hard for. I know you don’t care that you have spoilt what would be holidays of a lifetime, romantic getaways, honeymoons, first time holidays, presents to self holidays, retirements or a break from every day life holidays. The trust we all put in you to honour your agreement with us meant nothing as you continually kept taking our money. It was a dark day when I received the email from the CAA on Tuesday 4th June @ 13:18, my heart sank with only 2 weeks until my departure, but after speaking to Atol’ they provided me with some reassurance. But that is not the point. All our dreams became nightmares, and you have possibly scarred the businesses of other travel agents as I have lost faith. To those who have been bitten by the Holiday Place’ I feel your pain (I did cry while speaking to my credit card company, my stress and anxiety just poured out)’ I hope you are all successful in claiming your money back, it may take time and be an inconvenience but keep going’ your next holiday will be the best ever.

If anyone has booked a package through the holiday place and didn't receive their atol certificate you should still be able to claim. The CAA knows the holiday place were bonded and when you fill out their claim form you send your invoice, proof of payment, booking confirmation. You can claim 100% back. If not a package but did book flights and accommodation just not on same day so classed as flight plus you can also claim. For accommodation only, try your credit card.
