A complete waste of money

A complete waste of money
It is a Western European centric data base so the results are garbage for anyone with Asian ancestry in their mix. Countries like Hungary that are high with Asian mix are just thrown into a group called "other European".
It also threw 10% of my DNA into an "other" category that tells me nothing.
They also have ridiculous high fees on additional reports once you sign up.

Never works

Never works, try to login via Facebook (how I originally signed up), then via password and always wants me to sign up, never recognises old details. All it cares about is new sign ups, not old customers. Despite the fact I pay for different reports.

I cannot imagine anyone doing a DNA…

I cannot imagine anyone doing a DNA study so quick, the sent it back within hours. Also where two other sites state my origins this site says totally different, giving me cause to doubt it's accuracy, it's also money orientated, pay for a deep review and there's another after it, the second they supposedly did in about 30 to 45 mins, yeh right, do not use, go to a reputable company

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful, another trap, they tell you it's free and is it bollox. You gotta pay for everything and then it tells you your traits which is a load of nonsense, none of those traits applied to me whatsoever. It says I love red wine, red wine gives me a massive headache and makes me ill for days so no that's untrue. It says I smoke like a chimney, yuk no, I don't smoke thanks. Also you can't delete your profile once you have literally uploaded ALL YOUR LIFE AND TOOK SO LONG DOING IT.

Much of a muchness really

I signed up as I wanted more details on my genome/chromosone but the continual ‘unlock’ this and ‘unlock’ that … the pricing policy is haphazard and chaotic. People don’t want to. E badgered for an extra payment everytime they log in. My ancestry account is ONE payment a month. Why overly monetise it with endless ‘if you want to see this report you have to pay more’ . I unsubscribed straight away as it was clearly not value for money in my opinion the persistent begging bowls (unlocks) is too much to be honest and I’ll stick with Ancestry. PLUS not ONE of my main Ancestry familial matches appeared in their DNA hits, which is worrying about data accuracy. I tried it for 3 minutes and I’ve given it a pass. The company needs to seriously re-examine its pricing model as if you’re turning a customer away within minutes - you’re drastically doing something wrong.

I found my ethnic breakdowns to feel in line with the information I knew and it also showed things I wasn’t aware of. It would appear to go deeper than Ancestry.co.uk which keeps changing its mind on results anyway.

Total Scam!! Get AWAY!

The interface is horrible, and it's slow. I bought the premium package and charged me, surely. However, no traits or information were shown. Since I saw how horrible the service was, I cancelled my subscription. And they IMMEDIATELY cancelled my access (rather than at the end of the month

It's a fun site with loads of traits…

It's a fun site with loads of traits but...
Most of them are wrong.
This is why I cancelled my subscription...most traits were wrong.

Because they are based on feedback of American people...not Europeans.

They didn't have to put that 1% Native American in there...cause I know for a fact that I am not of native American descent.

Completely Inaccurate

What went wrong is apparently you decided to make up your own DNA info. I paid for the extra DNA package, and how as a biracial person, can I be 80% African?? People, save your money!

Complete Scam!

I uploaded my DNA on 3/16/2025. I received an email on 3/17/25 saying my results were completed. I clicked on the link several times age I kept being redirected to pay again for the Deep Ancestry report which cost $49. I even tried to just login on the website directly and it still didn't work. It kept asking me to pay. I reached out to customer service who just kept giving the same talking points over and over totally disregarding the fact that I couldn't open the report. Every email said to click on the link they're email to access it and if course I couldn't. They absolutely refuse to refund me for a report that I paid for but cannot open. Do NOT trust this company at all. They will go above and beyond spamming you with non stop emails to buy more services but will not adequately address the services that you actually paid for.

I paid for the service

I paid for the service, and the money was deducted from my account. However, despite the payment, I still only had access to the free version. I reached out to customer service but received no response. This was a complete waste of money—an absolute scam.

You will be bombarded with emails

You will be bombarded with emails, weird proposals and vague interpretations of your dna sample. If you are looking for dna matches across other databases it might be helpful but my tip; delete your data if you have this information.

They are only guessing

Nothing adds upp from one report to another. Customers service was quick to respond but only encouraged me to buy another report to get answers to my questions. Said and done, I discovered that the results doesn't match, though. 100% European in one 5% Asian in another. Ashkenezi jewish is one but not in the European one. We have done research on my family line going back to the 1700's. Ofcorse someone could be cheating with a foreigners, but all of the sudden I am British and not Swedish and that doesn't make much sense.
Someone wrote that it's a guesstimate and I do agree.

Great for genealogy enthusiasts!

I’m really enjoying Genomelink! I recently completed the European Breakdown report, and it’s by far the most fascinating insight into my ancestry I’ve seen. I was dissatisfied with Ancestry and MyHeritage, especially after their recent updates. When I’m paying good money for a product like this, I want to be able to dive deep and study my results chromosome by chromosome—and Genomelink does a pretty good job of delivering on that!

Complete Scam

Completely different results than any other genetic heritage analysis. All my grandparents are from Balkan. Every other service basically says my genes are 80% Balkan.

This is what Genomelink gives me.
13% South Slavic, 12% Great Britain, 12% Irish, 11% Iberian, 11% South Italian, 11% German, 11% Northern Europe, 6% Eastern Europe

Complete and utter trash, €90 thrown down the drain. Never ever give them a single €.
