No reply... no use!

Sent an email hoping for some moral support during a severe depressive episode. Never got a reply. This is obviously appalling, and I feel they should be taken to task for that. I mean, they're as much use a chocolate fireguard and have left me with no support during a very difficult and vulnerable time. Now what?

Excellent customer service and were super quick to dispatch my goods AND refund me for a service I had accidentally ordered but did not require. I'm delighted and will certainly be shopping at AO again. Thank you and keep doing what you're doing.

They don't answer their emails

They don't answer their emails. I've reached out twice now with no reply. It's like shouting into a black hole. My emails were polite and professional. Disappointing and leaves me with unanswered questions. Cannot recommend them from a customer service point of view, although I'm sure the products, for the most part, are very good since their average review score here is good at the time of posting this.

***UPDATE***** 24/10/24
I find it almost comical that they answer messages on here in an open public space, but fail to answer two emails which are not in view of the public. Same old story, and I've come across the same kind of attitude more times than I can remember! Very poor customer service (aka non-existant) from my personal experience. Shoddy.

Unprofessional and inconsiderate

Started work right outside our property before 5am Sunday morning, with no prior notification that works were being carried out. Worse still, they chatted amongst themselves quite loudly and woke us up. Disgusting behaviour and would expect much more professionalism from such a prominent telecommunications company. I am sure they would not like to be on the receiving end of their own bad behaviour and on a day that is typically regarded as a day to take a step back from the stresses of the modern world. Depressing!

Horrible customer support

As another customer stated in their Trustpilot review, the customer service from NordPass is indeed "horrible". I cannot get answer to an important question. They lack manners, are lazy in that they avoid answering questions plus they cab be argumentative and disrespectful to paying customers. I'm very disappointed as I subscribed to Norpass Password Manager on the basis that it's deemed one of the best password managers in 2024. While that may well be true, the same cannot be said about the quality, or lack thereof, of their customer care. What a shame!

EDITED 05/11/24: They state that they "strive" to provide great customer service. All I can say is that they don't strive very hard, if at all! If they did strive, then bad customer service and rudeness just would not happen. And, it happened in excess to me, at least.

100% agree with Cleo Griffiths review

I would 100% agree with the review of Cleo Griffiths. I've regularly had to wait weeks to get answers to very basic questions. Worse still, the questions I have asked remain unanswered (aka ignored) and then I'm faced with the frustration of having to send another message to ask the very same questions all over AGAIN! It's honestly like a wild goose chase! Sadly, all of this is exacerbating my mental health problems. I've rarely spoken to the same person, so there is a BIG disconnect in your communications to the extent that you have to unnecessarily repeat things. Seem very unfair and I wish I didn't have to deal with this as it's really upsetting and to my mind, very unnecessary too! I feel that some of their staff are clearly in need of better training and more awareness of mental health in general as is the case with so many companies. Things need to improve.

Edited: 05/11/24: All to familiar response. I doubt they will even lift a finger to address the kind of problems I have mentioned. Comes down to bad management and greedy CEO's.

Super slow despatch

Products are certainly very cool, but super slow despatch times kind of spoil the show! It's been 5 days since placing my order, yet it's STILL pending despatch. That for sure is disappointing! I feel they could expedite the process, improve communications and increase customer satisfaction.

They can mistreat their couriers

They can put unfair pressure on their couriers which can adversely impact their mental health. That can then lead the couriers to be super aggressive when delivering parcels. For example, a courier knocked on our door so aggressively to the extent that any person with heart problems could have been in very deep water! So, Amazon, if you are reading this, please start giving your couriers better working conditions and more respect as human beings. Doing so will likely improve their wellbeing as well as the customer experience due to a reduction in aggressive behaviour when delivering parcels.

No automatic renewals

As a long term customer who's rented the same piece of equipment from them for years, Hughes Rental seems not value customer loyalty. Why? They have not automatically renewed our equipment once in over 8 years AND increased the price of our rental year on year. My wish is that they would respect long term customers by introducing a loyalty program, discounts or automatically replace equipment after 4-5 years. In doing that, I would feel valued as their customer; and not the opposite as currently stands. Thanks for reading.

So, where did you request it as it seems like you might be telling porkies and doing the absolute bare minimum to address my problem. That kind of shows how little you respect customers.

Posted the wrong item

Not only did they post me the wrong product, it was over £20 less in value. And, the goods were poorly packaged with just a thin layer of plastic separating the packaging and the product. No bubble wrap, or packing paper to protect the goods, so it was luck alone that the product did not arrive damaged. To make matters worse the courier driver was rude and knocked our front door over 15 times in succession even though I answered the door straight away and was only 15 feet away at the time! Totally unimpressed with Asda George and have now requested a refund of my order as there is no point in me keeping this item that I never ordered and I have zero use for.

They removed my honest review here. That in itself is a very questionable thing to do. How can you trust any company that retaliates by removing honest reviews, and reviews that they just don't like to hear? They lack integrity entirely.

PS - yes, not a verified review, but an honest review nonetheless. So, your argument is that unless it's not a verified review then it has to be a dishonest one. I'm confused.

Poor packing and no shipping confirmation

The value of my order was in excess of £500, and they annoyingly shipped it in a cheap polybag! I was shocked to see how little effort was made to protect my goods while in transit. I kept ruminating "How on earth could they do that... nobody else has been that lazy or close to". It almost became a joke. So, zero points for shoddy packaging and the unboxing experience that ensued!

To make matters worse, they didn't send me a tracking number or a shipping confirmation. So, when the goods arrived I didn't know it was my £500+ order. I left the package on my table for my partner to check out.

Very disappointing, and I feel that a further order from Laptop Outlet could be a risk not worth taking. My goods were expensive, yet they were packaged about as well as a bag of chips!

No shipping confirmation in spam as suggested. I am a very experienced computer user.

I would argue THERE IS need for extra packaging. Especially when the order value is very high and the packaging can be easily recycled anyway. So, I disagree with you entirely based on the value of my order and the fact that packaging materials can be recycled and are there to give extra protection to the product. There is also the perceived value to consider too.

We ship items in polybags because they are already packed for shipping by the manufacturer. We decided to reduce the packaging as much as possible to reduce our environmental footprint. There is no need for extra packaging.

Due to high rates of theft, our packaging is not branded.

Shipping confirmations, including tracking numbers, are sent automatically when the package leaves our warehouse. Sometimes, they are in your email provider's junk folder.

The Christmas Grinch

I've never shopped with Zavvi, and may never do so again after this! I ordered several of the same item 2 weeks ago and have yet to receive anything. All I have received from Zavvi is an email as follows...

"We are aware that your order XXXXXXXXX for the below items have still not been sent, we will continue to work to have your order dispatched as soon as possible.

The above email was sent to me Christmas Eve. This is more than annoying as the items I ordered were Christmas presents for my young nieces and nephews. They obviously won't be getting anything in time for Christmas now, so thanks for that Zavvi!

And, I'm still in the dark as to when (or if) the items I ordered will be sent! So, all in all a really poor first time experience shopping at Zavvi.com, and certainly not one I wish to repeat. Disappointing, frustrating and not up to par are how I'd describe my experience shopping at Zavvi.com thus far.

UPDATE (23/01/23)
Received my order virtually a calendar month after placing it!. Now, had Zavvi made it clear upfront that my order would be delivered within such an abysmal and aggravating time frame it would have helped alleviate my annoyance and frustration by the power of a billion and one!! A FAR more empathetic and customer centric approach from Zavvi would have meant I was not so disappointed and that I basically felt more like a customer than a number!! I mean, if you are going to take 30 days (or thereabouts) to deliver my order then at the very least have the common decency to let me know that from the off! An automated email stating that the goods are delayed and you are trying your utmost to get the goods delivered to me without further delay is basically just 'fluff'. Thanks but no thanks for that! Think I'd rather eat my arm than deal with such baloney!

Given the runaround unfortunately

I ordered three of the same item from HMV and was given the absolute runaround! Waited for a month and they cancelled my order without explaining why. The also continued to offer the same product that I had ordered but never received. Felt frustrated and not best pleased for all the unnecessary hassle and lack of professionalism on their part. Reluctant to order from them again as had better experience shopping elsewhere.

They can lie and break regulations

I have never known any company to be so underhand and unprofessional. Their marketing materials make it seem how incredibly professional they are. The sad reality, for me at least, is that they are underhand, lie, make things up and show a blatant disregard for rules and regulations. I have considered reporting them to Trading Standards but a recent personal crisis has made that impossible. To conclude, I am disgusted with their lack of care and professionalism and their outright lies. Estate agents are some of the most disliked people, and much to my disappointment, I absolutely now know why that is so. Yes, this is a dig at them but it is more that justifiable. They are really not nice people as you may or may not find out the moment you run into a problem. Having read the review of RTV_Syrieprince here on Trustpilot, I can confirm they are liars and can certainly be the opposite of understanding, considerate and ethical. No lie, they have left me traumatised and everytime I see one of their for sale signs, I cannot help but feel triggered and angry. I only wish I could have given them zero stars here! A really vile company from my experience, that I cannot ever recommend.

Broadband down for over 21 hours!

Our Sky broadband was down for over 21 hours (since Sunday 6.30pm. Rang their customer service, only to find out they have now outsourced it. I find it very difficult to understand a thick foreign accent. This does not make me a racist. I just find it very hard to make myself understood, plus I do not feel I am important enough to Sky. Outsourcing their call centre is clearly a cost saving exercise, but I feel in doing that they are shooting themselves in the foot. I am a long-term customer who wants to speak to a member of the Company. It just feels disrespectful of Sky that I cannot do that anymore! Going to change providers when our contract is due for renewal later this year.
