I paid a significant amount for PMI-approved training courses and exam fees to take the PMP certification exam. On the scheduled day, I followed all the technical instructions and was fully prepared to sit for the exam via the OnVUE platform. However, due to a technical issue beyond my control, the exam session was terminated without warning or a valid explanation.
I contacted both PMI and Pearson VUE to understand what happened and resolve the issue, but neither provided a clear reason or a proper solution. Instead, I was told that I would have to pay again to retake the exam — even though the problem was not my fault.
This is extremely unfair and feels like a scheme to extract more money from candidates under the pretense of technical errors. PMI is a globally respected organization, and I did not expect such treatment.
There should be more accountability and transparency when technical failures occur. Candidates should not be penalized for platform issues they did not cause.

1.1 Star Rating Make Sense
I'm an educator and Pearson proctor, and the one thing that is guaranteed. If I call for help, they will transfer me to another department or give me a number. They will do this until I give up. No one wants to help. No one seems well-versed in support. Twenty-five minutes on hold just to look up a number, that transfers me back to them. Their support documentation is out of date. Links don't work. Nothing works.
Look, I've run a helpdesk many years ago, this is not how you run a helpdesk.
Look, I've developed software for a long time before I started teaching. This software looks like its still VB6. I could build a better system that could be distributed by one server. No, they are still using local creds.
This is an awful company. 72+ hours and no response from channel quality. I'm tired, and I really am thinking about coming out of retirement and building a new software company to rival this horrible and wretched company. One that provides support, and software that wasn't built in the early 2000s.
I want to throw this company on a pyre and build something better.
Took my exam
Took my exam, clicked submit at the end of exam. Exam didn't go through. I didn't get results & couldn't. Proctor was rude, blaming me. I clicked submit? That broke your computer? Several hours after exam, still waiting for results.

4 times! I took an exam with you 4 times! and each time your proctor either cancelled it, or made up an elaborate story about how my camera wasn't working even though they confirmed that it was!
Now i need to wait 3 months before i take this exam again. Or pay $800 at a different education provider?!

I wouldn’t have gave them the 1 star rating but wouldn’t let me put anything less. Communication is extremely poor no help whatsoever causes me to miss my exam online yesterday as there systems were down they admitted this in email and on phone and now won’t let me have a refund or re take the test. Want me to pay again in full. Will never use these again at all an I HIGHLY RECOMMEND no one else does either.

Absolutely no customer service, overly strict requirements to take exams, randomly stopped working during check in process and had to rescehdule.
Terrible Software, Worse Customer Service
This has been an absolute nightmare. One I'm still trying to sort out. I've been trying to sort this out for over a week. first of all the software itself to take the tests feel like windows 95. It wouldn't work at all on my home mac (something it didnt show until actually trying to take the exam the first time) which iis powerful and has fast internet. It's really not set up for mac users and theres no help from them in trouble shooting. and online people seem to universally hate it. Tried it at work and it barely worked on any computers, found one eventually and they cut it short and denied me continuing my exam and made me send over another form of id before taking it again, instead of just continuing the exam (after proving my identity several times with 2 types of id) and sending over another form of id after. this service is different to the main one and there's no number, just emails and waiting for days. I really hope they don't keep the money and make me repay for another exam.

I had to reschedule an exam that has already archived by customer area from Vue portal.
Support told me that my case is under investigation but I don't know what is mean exactly because I contacted my test center to schedule a new exam session.
Now we’re forced to wait for their so-called “investigation,” which seems completely useless.
Went to take an AWS exam
Went to take an AWS exam. Firstly i was interrupted with them calling me saying I needed to reset the software. Upon resetting and settling back in I was accused of accessing a phone - which i wasnt an immediately terminated. I have asked for the recordings and evidence of the exam - as stated they record all exams and keep it for 30 days. I was told this wasnt an option and their decision is final. Scammed out of $400

Went to take the exam, given 3 minutes to read the NDA and could not read in time and got timed out.
The examiner could not reset it and told me my chance is over. Spoke to support and they told me they couldn't do anything about it. Total waste of money, time and effort

When I signed up to take my exam, I ran the pre test software test to ensure I would be able to run the software on my Mac. Everything worked smoothly as they required OS 12 to operate. The day of my test, I couldn't load the software because they had changed the required OS to OS 13. They never notified me of this change. I had to pay $100 to reschedule my exam because I wasn't able to download the new OS in time. I was told they would refund me the $100 once I took the exam. They never refunded me despite countless efforts to receive the refund.
Spineless cucks. Worthless company.
No help from customer service
I’ve had to reschedule my exam twice, and on both occasions, the website failed to update the new time. When I contacted customer service for assistance, I received no meaningful help—only a recommendation to pay the fee again and register for a new date.
When I asked to escalate the matter, I was met with a generic response and no real opportunity to resolve the issue. This has been incredibly frustrating, especially considering that I need this license for my job and now have no choice but to pay additional fees through no fault of my own.
This experience feels unfair and borderline predatory. I’m requesting that this issue be reviewed seriously and that the additional fee be waived or refunded given the circumstances.

🇨🇦Extremely stressful experience with this company. I would not recommend anyone to use this company to write an exam OR to hire them to be responsible for exams on behalf of your company. Write your exam in person if at all possible. My husband took an unpaid day off work for me to pay $250 to an unreliable company with 0 assistance to a complete exam. After preparing for months and weeks to get in.
I am an intermediate with computer skills and have run an international online store for the last 5 years and could not gain access to my exam after running all pre-checks prior. They do not provide a point of contact for your exam. They do not have a technician to help the day of exam. They have no phone number. They have an email no one answers. Or a bot that’s says they are getting you help but no one comes.
How are so many organizations using this awful company?

BAAAD! After following the pre-exam proctor's instructions, it was a pause and was told I failed the exam then. In 10 min! I had not seen the exam questions or such! This is simply terrible! Pearson VUE is just a wasting of my time and money. It cannot be on the market for sure.

Why microsoft!?!
Their software is appalling! Why does it require that you accept cookies in order to get access to contact information that you need. Why does it allow you to pass the testing of your system but then block you on the things it allowed when you go to do the test. Why does Microsoft use such awful system. Makes me not want to do a microsoft cert, I'd rather just learn AWS simply to not have to deal with pearson vue. No more microsoft certs with pearson vue. Shocking company
Unresponsive, Unhelpful, and Utterly Frustrating
Absolutely appalling service. A dreadful experience from start to finish. Ordering an exam is a nightmare—and if you run into issues, good luck getting help. Despite the .co.uk website, support is outsourced to India or handled via delayed, unresponsive US-based email.
They’ll send you in circles, bouncing you between different phone numbers and departments, only to end up speaking to the same person who couldn’t help you to begin with.
Money has been taken from our account and we still can’t speak to anyone who can resolve the issue or provide what we paid for.
Avoid at all costs. If you need to purchase exams, look elsewhere.
