Dishonest pricing and slow delivery

I don’t recommend DIY Art Club. They run misleading sales where they raise their prices right before offering a “20% off” discount, only to drop them back down to normal after the promotion ends. It feels like a deliberate trick to make customers think they’re getting a deal when they’re not. And then they refuse to refund their customers who have purchased on this so called campaign, which in reality have paid more than customers not buying during the campaign :) On top of that, the shipping takes forever. Much longer than what’s promised on their website. Overall, a very disappointing experience with dishonest pricing and slow delivery.

Too expensive for what you get.

(sorry English is not my first language) First, if you want your painting WITH a frame, you have to select it (of course more expensive) which I didn't do because I didn't know I had to, I took for granted that they were going to have a frame for this price!!! Nop, not at all.. So already a bit disappointed when it arrived. I could see anywhere on my order or on the website how long the delivery was going to take, but in the end it was pretty fast though (9 days). In the package they gave me 4 sets of brushes. I have started them yet because no frame makes it hard to paint them, they rolls up. In the end, way too expensive for what you get.

Happily surprised!

I was apprehensive after reading reviews (only after ordering!) that these would be awful - however from first impressions they look great! The paint colours and textures look fab, and the material of the canvas's are absolutely fine, as are the number sizes. Would have been nice to have a pack of brushes per canvas, rather than sharing each pack between them all, however that's only a small thing and I'm sure we can all share the brushes without any issues 😊

Poor quality overall

I’m very disappointed with this product.
Firstly, the material used is not fabric, nor paper: it’s some very thin plastic-like sheet badly stapled to a frail wooden frame. A wooden frame that came bent due to poor handling during transport.
Numbers are sometimes so small they can hardly be seen and slots to paint so microscopic that even the smallest of brushes would not guarantee that one manages to put colour in them without ending up blotching the nearby areas.
The three brushes that come with the paint are such poor quality that I had to put them away and use my own, smaller and of better manufacturing quality.
Overall a very overpriced item for what’s offered there.

Poor customer service

Bought a paint by numbers set. The item was delivered by Evri. The outer packaging was torn, the box was damaged, looked like it had been crushed and left out in the rain. The canvases were damaged and damp. I contacted customer services who were responsive. However didn't want to replace the item. I offered to return the damaged item. Told I'd be sent a new set but still waiting. I've given up, went elsewhere. Looking at other TP reviews this seems to be a theme and they've obviously not improved their processes.

No peace until you review them

Sorry I purchased from them. Confused messages around shipping but the order went okay otherwise. However they have emailed me relentlessly about reviewing them, I mean more than 5 messages. I don't normally do online reviews but hopefully they will stop pestering me now.

don't buy

i received my order with open, broken paint pots so couldn't use it by the time id wanted to because they said it would take 20 days to send more paint pots. i found it cheaper on amazon with MUCH better quality and next day delivery on prime. customer service is appalling as they want to charge me to return this damaged set?? please do not make same mistake and order from this "small business".

seller on amazon is Jiaxiang-jp for the exact same product but cheaper.

If I could give it 0 stars I would.
I’ve tried to cancel and get a refund all week as firstly they couldn’t find my email and I never received a confirmation so after 4 days, I stated that I wanted a refund. They kept pushing and now they’re refusing a refund because they’ve stated that they’ve sent it within 24 hours, which is a lie because it’s actually over 7 days later that I’ve received a confirmation so still not received the actual product.
Also be aware they’ve always got offers on but they’re always the same price!

Feel like I have been scammed into…

Feel like I have been scammed into buying. No clear description of needing frames???!!! I mean, why would you send the canvasses rolled up without frames? That is just painting onto material and not a picture
Obviously contacted Customer services who wanted to charge over £80 for 6 frames to put my £20 purchase onto which I couldn’t attach to anyway unless I wanted to also purchase a staple gun..and then they cheerfully told me to go elsewhere and sort it out! Oh and no chance of returning unless you want to pay to send to The Netherlands…
Don’t waste your money.

Our kits are designed to be flexible — many customers prefer using the rolled canvas without a frame, while others choose to add a frame separately. That said, I see how this could have been confusing in your case.

Regarding the frame prices and tools, we completely understand your concern. We will review how we present these options on our website so it’s clearer upfront. As for returns, our warehouse is indeed in the Netherlands, but we are actively working on more local return solutions to make the process easier and more affordable for our customers.

Absolutely ridiculous

Absolutely ridiculous. Ordered June 26th and today July 16th it's still sitting at customs in Chicago. If I knew this was crap from China I wouldn't have ordered it. This was supposed to be a fun activity for a family vacation but we leave in two days and no product. In today's world this should not take this long.

Great couple activity

Absolute scam website

Absolute scam website. 20 days for shipping with no option to upgrade.
If you want to return anything you have to pay for a tracked return to the Netherlands!
Don’t bother and definitely don’t waste your money.

Cheap materials from China poor quality. Better off going to Amazon with next day delivery and free returns.

Scam website

Scam website, it’s cheap stuff sent from China as it takes forever to receive and they hardly respond to emails. Poor quality of brushes, all kit is full of plastic, brushes, paints, packaging, it should be illegal for these business to operate!!! DO NOT FALL FOR IT LIKE I DID!

Good quality products but the shipping…

Good quality products but the shipping times are abominable. Whilst shipping is free, there are no options to upgrade for faster shipping so there is nothing that they can currently offer to improve this.

If you need these short notice I would go to amazon or other suppliers

BEWARE. They sell the exact same product that…

They sell the exact same product that are on Amazon and shein or temu but cost 5 times as much. I think this site is a scam. Almost purchased until I noticed that the same posters are on all Chinese seller websites. And the home page said a kit was £20 but once I clicked into it. It’s £35.

Beautiful designs
