I can’t believe how absurd the so-called “F... ing First Class” experience is on Deutsche Bahn. You pay extra for comfort, sit down in what looks like a perfectly normal 1st-class seat, and then — surprise — someone shows up waving a reservation and you have to move.
How can a system exist where a paid first-class passenger is told to stand up for another paid first-class passenger? It’s like there’s a secret, higher-ranking “first class within first class.”
The train staff don’t even look surprised — they just shrug and tell you “that’s how it works.” It’s embarrassing, chaotic, and completely unworthy of a company that claims to offer premium service.
If Deutsche Bahn wants to sell “First Class,” maybe start by making sure your “first class” passengers actually have a seat!
Deutsche Bahn always late
The trains are never on time, and the service is unreliable. How am I supposed to switch from driving to public transport if the trains always make me late? I can’t leave Stuttgart at 1:00 in the night just to be on time at 10:00 in Kornwestheim.

A strict because zero doesn't work. The DB is absolutely unreliable and unprofessional and I would never recommend anyone to use it. Everyone who works there is simply unfair and incompetent.
I am very disappointed how they treat their guests, apart from their incredibly high prices, they are never on time and there is no way to get a corresponding compensation. Horror experiences are normal here. Thanks for nothing DB! Never again! Sie ziehen einem nur das Geld aus der Tasche .

Travelling in Europe, but DB is the worst. Allowed to reserve a seat from a very poor and confusing website. Did the payment go through? Not clear, but we have tickets so it must have. However, the seat reservation was given without the payment going through, then you receive an invoice via email that looks so unprofessional that I assumed it was spam, but no they let you travel and then invoice you. What consumer company doesn't arrange payment before your get something. Then they pass it to a collections company and you think this is definitely spam. Finally have to call them and find out, no this is just how they do business. Shocking!
BELIEVE THE HORROR STORIES!
I heard the horror stories but never paid much attention to them. Round trip amsterdam to berlin... On the outbound my train did not stop at my connecting point so had to connect in kolln instead, which would be fine except ALL trains from kolln to berlin were cancelled, so had to take another train which was delayed, ended up getting to berlin 3 hours late, and almost missed my airbnb host. On the return it was surreal. They were not even letting people onto the platform because of how insanely backed up ALL the trains were.... to top it off none of the escalators onto the platform were working, and the elavators were packed. When I finally made it onto the platform, the train kept getting pushed back in 5 minute increments until it finally left 73 minutes late, BUT SOMEHOW, it is arriving in Amsterdam 144 minutes late.... AFTER midnight, so I miss the last bus home. To top it off taxis never agree to take me from centraal because I live too close (2.5km). So now I am arriving in Centraal with a giant suitcase and not sure how I'm going to get home.

How can this company still exist? So expensive and so unreliable. Constantly delays, unrealiable service, dishonest business practice. How come any neighboring country has a better service? How can Germany let this happen?
This is a criminal organization
This is a criminal organization. They simply cancelled my train to Amsterdam while being in it and dropped us of in the middle of nowhere with no way further to the destination.
This is just the latest in an uncountable amount of horrible experiences that I had to endure due to this incompetent and shady company (like for example the time I had to pay a 400€ fine for travelling with a ticket that a friend bought for me who forgot to change his name to mine and them treating me as if I was a criminal for this mistake that could have been understood under the circumstances)
Please avoid if possible!!!

Deutsche Bahn is the rotting corpse of what once was German precision. Every ride feels like punishment. Trains delayed, cancelled, filthy, with staff as clueless as the passengers. The only thing reliable here is failure.
Terrible Deutsche Bahn - monstrous greed!
The experience just keeps getting lower and lower with the deutsche bahn. Just when one thinks, they cant get any lower, they nail an even lower level.The hunger, fantasies and greed with which they operate is of monstrous proportions!
Deutschland ticket is a great idea and mostly works but what makes it average is that it is still attached to the Deutsche Bahn. Avoid buying the ticket from them like a plague and look for alternative options of buying!
The payment via bank debit for the ticket which is mentioned would be debited on the 5th working day of the month, can be debited on the first or the second day of the month too throwing off one's plans for payment and creating confusion.
And then when the bank debit doesnt go through, an email comes from them asking to pay in 7 days via bank transfer. And when you email that you are not in Germany and need more time to transfer , any subsequent email is not responded to!
In short, even the payment guidelines for the Deutschland ticket are not consistent and contradict what is mentioned on the website. Sounds so much like the Deutsche Bahn!
Horrible customer service
I am living in Cologne and I had to take the 142 to go to work. The traffic light was red and the bus anyway needed to wait before going and the bus lady anyway did not let me in! Such a grumpy person. She literally was waiting for 5 mins.

1. Signed up for the probe bahn Kart
2. Set reminder to cancel a few weeks before it runs out, as with any other service
3. three weeks before the end of my trial period, I receive an invoice in english via email, for the yearly subscription
4. Two days later I receive a 'mahnung' in Germany, to be paid in ten days or they send it to the inkasso
No Email reminder or warning and you have to pay a year in advance before you even can start to use the service.
Aside from this predatory scheme, I have had 80% of my trains delayed.
If you have a "Deutschlandticket" you can't even get compensation for it. 1 hour delay amounts to maybe 1€ of compensation. And they "do not pay out compensation below 4€".
Poor service. Delays everywhere. Clearly predatory.

This company deserves to go bankrupt. Their train tickets are way to overpriced. The whole payment structure is so anti consumer that you have to pay if they make your trip unreachable so better use a bus or a car. They don't deserve to get money for their joke of a service.

If I could give the company a zero score I would., Put simply they have stolen our money after we booked, no tickets have been issued and they refuse to communicate. Disgraceful.
