I invested 10000 euro
I invested 10000 euro. Left it for one year and most for two years. I started selling some, which took forever, lowering the price month after month, I succeeded in selling some after 6 months. It took my 1,5 years to sell my complete portfolio, ending in selling cases for half of the market value. This market at Vinovest is simply not liquid!! There is no demand.

Wine lost value over 4 years
Wine lost value over 4 years. Management fees are awful. They charge interest if you don’t pay them on time. More importantly you can even get the wine you own.
This is the biggest waste of money I have ever seen in my life. I would report them to the SEC if you can.

Shady company - avoid!
Very shady company. Do NOT trust them with your money. When I signed up, I was told by the salesperson that I could liquidate my account and sell the wine at any time. What they don’t tell you, is that’s it’s impossible to actually sell the wine. I’ve had my entire portfolio listed for sale for almost 12 months, and they’ve sold 25% of it. I ask for regular updates on when it will be sold, and they can’t provide any. Their only suggestion to get it sold is to drastically reduce the asking price below their own “market value”, essentially slashing my investment.
Their selling methods are clearly unethical. They sell nothing for months, I email them, then magically something gets sold. Nothing again for months, I email them, something else gets sold. There’s clearly in control of when stuff gets sold and just try to hold onto your money.
Do not invest with this firm if you ever want to see your money back.

Avoid, scam and impossible to get your money OR wine back
Invested in VinoVest before reading reviews (my fault and take responsibility for that); after several years I tried selling and since they can't sell, asked about having them shipped to me...here's their response, “At this time, we are pausing shipping while we overhaul the process. We hope to create a more cost-efficient shipping process for our clients but need time to work out all the logistics and details.” So if it's our wine when we buy it, why can't we get it shipped when we request it? Can't sell and can't get it shipped? Unbelievable. Just stay away from this company.

The Biggest Scam in Wine Investment – Avoid at All Costs!
Vinovest is hands down the worst investment platform I’ve ever encountered. For nearly TWO YEARS, my wines have been stuck on their so-called “marketplace,” with zero progress in selling them. And let’s be real—this isn’t some ultra-rare collection; it’s just two simple cases of wine!
Since they clearly cannot sell them, I asked for my wines to be shipped to me. Their response? “At this time, we are pausing shipping while we overhaul the process. We hope to create a more cost-efficient shipping process for our clients but need time to work out all the logistics and details.” Seriously?! You’ve had two years, and now I have to wait even longer?!
And here’s the worst part—they keep charging me monthly storage fees for wines I can’t sell and can’t even get back! How is this even legal?! It’s as if they’re holding my investment hostage while squeezing every last cent out of me.
Vinovest markets itself as a professional wine investment platform, but in reality, it’s a complete joke. They lure you in with a slick website and big promises, but once they have your money, good luck ever seeing it again.
DO NOT invest a single penny in Vinovest unless you enjoy watching your money disappear into a black hole. Total scam.

Huge scam. Ponzi scheme. Impossible to get your money out.
This is a massive scam, and it is impossible to get your money out. It is a Ponzi scheme on asteroids. And, of course, if you forget about your investment and want to get your wines, it is impossible because they don't have them! Regulators should immediately intervene in this business.

Been invested with Vinovest for several…
Been invested with Vinovest for several years now with diminishing estimated wine values, crazy storage and management fees, and now my wine has been listed for months and months with absolutely nothing selling. This has been a horrible investment and one that most should steer clear of.

Beyond bad
Beyond bad. Terrible customer support, no real service being provided, buggy UI, no market to sell the wine, unable to withdraw funds and stuck with fees. Terrible mistake to have invested into this to begin with.

Horrible Investment
This seems like a good investment on the surface but it’s horrible. They over value your portfolio to charge more in fees. Additionally, liquidity is near impossible at market value from my experience. In the event that you decide to have them shipped to you this will cost a lot with taxes etc. There are far better investments out there. They will hear more about the excessive valuation of their portfolios to charge more very soon.

That is a total SCAM!
That is a total SCAM!
I invested 2k USD in wine ~ 1.5 years ago. After one year, I decided to list the wines on the secondary market to withdraw the money. The best offer so far was half the price. Well, thank you, but no.
Then I asked if wine could be shipped to me (as advertised on their page). However, as they are in the UK (I'm not sure if there is even physical wine somewhere) and I am in the EU, they can't ship anything to me.
The worst is that they are asking "maintenance" fee every month and beside I've locked my funds in their "platform", I have to invest more.
When I left a similar review on Google, the owner replied that this was a mistake and that they could ship wine. Then, I contacted support, who asked me to remove the review. I politely responded that I'd change or remove the review when the issue was resolved. Since then, I haven't received a response from support.

I stay away from fine Wine
I stay away from fine Wine. Not interested. I have invested in Whiskey. I'm not sure why all the negativity.
The company tells you when you invest that it could take several years for any kind of return to develop.
My portfolio is up 12.3 % . I add small amounts monthly in cash to it. My goal was a couple casks a year. Get them rotating on a 5-7 year basis where I'd get a return yearly after 5 years
I never expect any return for 5-7 years.
As a matter of fact this investment may never be cashed out. I want to leave it to my trust for the family.
If you need the money or can't afford to have it tied up then by all means stay away.
I've had a good experience so far. I understood from the start there would be a storage fee.
The platform is easy to use. We will see if it comes time for a return it's for real.
So far so good.

Absolute Scam
Honestly, I truly believe Vinovest has scammed me. I've invested around $7000 and I've been trying to liquidate my portfolio for months. Only two have received any offers. Worse still, I opened an account for my mom. The $5,000 I helped her invest is now down 20 percent. I listed her wines at the same time as I listed my own and she has not received a single offer on any of them. It's been months! At this point, we're desperate to get any sort of recoup of our money. We both realize we have lost money at this point, but it looks more and more likely we may never see any of this money again. While all of our wines remain unsold, Vinovest continues to take out its monthly fee. Over time, this fee will whittle away our account to nothing. Shame on this company and shame on Anthony Zhang. I wish I could go back and take back my investment.

HUGE SCAM/ MAFIA. KEEP AWAY!!!!!
HUGE SCAM. This is even worsse than a ponzi pyramid. They make fool of you about possessing fine wines and they keep taking high monthly fees for the storage of the wines while they do not own any bottles at all. They even "buy" the wines a lot more expensive than you can find them in the market and their price keeps falling every year.
You cannot even have your wines sent at your place because the fees for this are higher than the price of the wines themselves. You get ridiculously low offers to sell the wines. The customer service is terrible. I wonder how is this Mafia business still running. Even the score in trustpilot is not reliable because of the fake reviews that have been found and deleted.

Lost so much money and impossible to get out
Sold false expectations+ No transparency on fees. The company makes it impossible to get out even if I loose half of the money. Communication is very slow and a lot of misinformation. Plus Vinovest creates constraints and makes the client pay for it.
It's the worse investment decision I've ever made and still not able to get out

I enjoyed selecting my wine but not enjoying the financial loss
I very much enjoyed selecting my own portfolio, which I discussed with Anthony and appreciated his insights. I am a WSET 1, 2 and 3 certificate holder, as well as an Italian, French and Spanish Wine Scholar, and also did masterclasses, on-site, at Bourgogne, Bordeaux, Champagne, Rioja and Piemonte. I enjoy the online system of vinovest and find it easy to use. I marked the experience 3 out of 5 stars because more than 2 years later, I am at a significant financial loss, even before selling commissions etc. I appreciate that this is how the market behaved. But as an investor, I could have done infinitely better on bonds, or share, or even CDs. Anyway, I will stick it out for another 3 years and then see if I liquidate or stay in.
